Part 3: Windy journeys

Evan Commons was in a strange place. He had no idea as to how he got here. He was in a square shaped room. It had no windows or doors. In one corner there was a large over stuffed chair. In the other corner there was a small pink pillow. Other than that it was a featureless colorless room. (So this is what it's like to be dead) he pondered.

*You aren't dead, said the pillow. *

"What!" Screamed the surprised boy. Two triangular shaped ears popped out of the top of the pillow. It turned on its stubby legs to revel a jigglypuff. But not just any jigglypuff, it was the normal holder himself.
"Ok, didn't you just blast me off of the face of the pokémon world?"

*If you will sit down I will explain what just happed. *Said the small pokémon as Evan sat down. *See, I could have just used a regular hyper beam and you probably been severely injured. But, no regular human could have out sung me. * At this point Evan deiced to interrupt.

"I thought I was making too much noise to fall asleep?" he queried.

*Even then, you should have fallen asleep. Only the exact harmonic tone can cancel out a pokemon song. Each is unique to the pokemon who sang it. Because you didn't, you are my missing half. *

"Missing half, I don't like were this is heading."

*How rude of me, I forgot to tell you my name. My name is Norman. And I have used a focus power to merge us together. *

"What!" Screeched Evan as he shot up. He suddenly realized he was back on the stage, with a sleeping audience on his right, his startled eevee right in front of him, his dad sleeping behind him and a butterfree and a beedrill standing on his left. He glanced at the two bug types for a moment then stared into his eevee's eyes. (Wait, If I am standing up, how can I be?) *OH NO! * He looked down at his hands and realized he didn't have any. Instead, he had small pink rounded off things.

"It happened to you too," stated the butterfree in human language. Evan did what most people would do; he fainted.

Minda was rather proud of her self. When she was faced with this shock, she didn't faint. Then again, she really didn't mind being a butterfree.

*Well, * she said to her bee companion, * we need to get him out of here. * He nodded. As she moved forward a strange feeling of danger flashed thorough her mind. She turned in the direction of the audience and saw the trees behind them burst in to flames. A tall black nidoking trampled the remains of the blasted trees. This woke up the crowd, who ran at the sight of at the 8-foot tall monster. It looked around the clearing, spotted the stage and charged forward, its diamond hard horns bursting into flames. (Is this Kain's work, I wish I could remember if had this kind of power.) Minda pondered.

"Quick, beedrill grab the puffball and hide. You are no match for this thing." She yelled as she powered up to fight. She flapped wings as the huge beast charged through the scattering crowd, missing trampling anybody. Minda flapped her wings and out of them fired hundreds of tiny needles. This knocked it back somewhat. (Pin Missile, how did I do that?) She thought. It roared and charged again.

In this moment three things happened: Mr. Commons woke up, the two men who where helping him came back into the clearing holding a two new poke balls, and an insanely powerful gust of wind slammed into the raging beast tearing it to peaces. All eyes turned as a medium sized bird like pokémon landed. It was a Pidgeotto. What was strange about it was the fact that it had a circle on its chest with a hurricane symbol inscribed in it. {Author's note: This is the same symbol used in hurricane tracking charts.} This was the flying focus holder with its symbol Hurricane.

*Hi, my name is Quentin Zephyr * He said. *I been looking for you two. *

Mr. Commons, while all of this was going on realized the fact his son's eevee was sitting on stage without his son. This of course, made him quite upset. He also noticed the jigglypuff he was fighting knocked out.

"What the heck is going on here?" he screamed. Eevee yelped and ran into Quentin, knocking the bird off balance, as Minda yelled in pokémon language to run. Driller lifted Evan between his singers and lifted off, Minda right behind him. Quentin took off after the two with Eevee who hitched a ride on his back.

The two men in black watched in silence as they flew off. "Come on," said the one on the left as he put a hat on with a bright red R on the front, "Let's go tell the boss." His partner just nodded as the two walked away. As sirens grew louder, Mr. Commons watched the pokemon fly off into the distance. He walked to the back of the stage in a daze, and picked up the case he put there before coming to announce the third act. From it pulled out a strangely and intricately engraved pokeflute. He stared at as the noonday sun shone on him and the police finally arrived.

In the air a distraught Minda was yelling at Quentin for some answers.

*Who sent you? Do you know why what happened to me and the puff happened? Why does this info that keeps popping in my head? * She asked.

*Well, to be honest, I don't remember much myself. I tell you a little of what I know. *All the holders together are called the Circle. I volunteered to bring back the last two of the Circle to the Gold Sanctuary.

*The gold sanctuary. The place where there are actually Ho-ho's flying around. The place where any pokemon can go and live with out human's? I thought that place was just a legend? * Asked a startled Beedrill. *Oh, it's real all right. * Quentin responded. Eevee nodded sagely.

Minda sighed and said, "I suppose I will have to wait tell we get there to find out what you are talking about." Quentin just nodded and turned flying southwest of Viridian City to the ocean. (Of course if we had full memory, explanations would not be necessary.) He thought.

After several hours of flight the group made landfall in a wooded clearing on an island twenty-three miles southwest of Cinnabar Island and two hundred miles west of the Orange Islands. The Island was split into three by a mountain range. On one side was a large stadium under construction, the construction of a village, fair, a castle, and a strange tower. Also there was an excavation of a much older stadium and a power plant. On another side their where woods, lakes, a saltwater marsh and even a small jungle. The third side was a small desert the merged with a flat plain, which ended in a sandy beach. The mountain range was rocky, steep and always covered in snow. Thus, Stadium Island had habitats for a wide variety of pokémon.

Quentin simply stated, "We are here." They were on the more woody side of the island. The clearing was at the top of a steep cliff over looking the ocean behind them. On the left and right were trees. Directly ahead of them there was a large stone outcropping, which was surrounded by trees on both sides. The Stone was shaped like a rough half circle.

"Ok, so what's here?" inquired Minda. "And two, how did we fly that far without stopping?" "To answer your second question, I used my flying powers to give us the ability fly. And to your first, this," Quentin replied. The wind picked up as doors appeared in the half circle stone. On the doors was the symbol for flying types. As they opened, Evan deiced to come around.

"Where am I?" he asked. He looked around at the other pokémon surrounding him and at himself. Sighing, He asked the eternal question, "Why me?" "Well if you wait a few more seconds with me, this bird will take us to the answers to both are questions," Replied Minda.

"Ok, since I have never been lied to by a butterfree." This time Minda sighed. (I still don't know why I am not to bothered by all of this now. I should still be in shock or something.)

"If you two are done, let's go," said Quentin as Driller and Eevee went into the now opened doors.

"Give us a break, we haven't gotten over used to this yet!" They both yelled at him. Minda and Evan looked at each other then flew and walked through the doors respectively. Quentin blinked twice and flew to join the group as the doors closed behind him and vanished.

If Stadium Island, with its pokémon habitats, with considered good for pokémon, then Gold Sanctuary was a pokémon paradise. Eevee, Driller, Minda, and Evan where struck speechless as the viewed the valley before them as the sunset in the distance. The huge valley was a circular shape. It was divided like a pizza, with each outer circle element having a separate section. In the exact middle of the valley there was a tower surrounded a beautiful crystal palace. On each face of the square shaped tower was a different elemental symbol, but none of the four on lookers could tell what they were. The group was currently standing at the outside rim of the flying section. The doors they had come out of where right behind them in a cliff face of a large mountain. Below then were many canyons and wooded plateaus. But strangely these tapered off as they approached the center of the valley.

Continuing in a clockwise direction, with the flying section being 12 o'clock position, was a mountainous region, which was perfect for rock types. Next, in the foothills of the mountains, there appeared to be a flooded marble city, with a lot of dragon types lived. After that, there was a large plain with small patches of woods and crossed with rivers. This were most of the normal types lived. These plains boarded a sandy beach. Here, in a small inland sea lived many water types. Across the water, there was a large marshy area were a lot of poison types lived. Next, there was a huge forest were the grass types played. Following, that there was a large dilapidated mansion filled with ghosts types. Next was a jungle filled with bug types, then a large metal city in which steel, psychic, and electric types monitored the area. Next to the city was a large temple. Here Fighting types trained, while dark types watched on from the shadows. The back wall of this temple boarded a sandy desert that had an abundance of ground types.

On the other side of the desert was a volcanic region, were there were a lot of fire types. Finally, this region rose up into a large icy mountain range, which boarded the flying section. And all of this was under a sky that had a large landmass floating in it and seemed to be filled with water.

"From now on you two will have to speak in pokémon. Human speech isn't necessary," ordered Quentin. {Author's note: from now until humans come back into the story, everybody is speaking in poké speech.} Four pairs of eyes stared back at him. A loud giggle sounded behind them, and the four turned back to see a small floating figure behind them. She had brilliant blue eyes. She had short stubby arms the had three small fingers at the end and was covered in white fur over her entire body except for at the tips of her feet and her long tail, which were pink. The legendary pokémon know as mew floated serenely in front of them.

"Hi, Quentin. I came to teleport our members and guests to the palace," she said.

"But, why can't I with them fly to the palace, Kimberly?" questioned Quentin.

"Because your too slow," she said as a the symbol for psychic types appeared on her forehead. It was a circle with an eye inscribed in it. It is called Mind's eye. Then everyone just vanished in a flash of light.

Everyone appeared in front of a large set of doors. These doors were opened into some kind of meeting hall. In front of the doors was a hitmonlee talking to a strange pokémon. It what looked like a dress made up of flower petals, and had two flowers on each side of its head. The strange nodded once to the hitmonlee then went inside of the room. The hitmonlee followed.

"Quentin, Evan, Minda come with me. Every one else stays out here. Feel free to look around the palace, just don't leave the grounds until we meet up with you," said Mew matter of factly.

"Hey, how did you know are names?" asked Evan. sent Mew. With that practical but cryptic message, they entered the chamber and the doors closed behind them leaving Eevee and Driller to there own devices.

Minda and Evan looked across the now darkened room. "Have a seat in the right spot. You will be able to tell be sitting with your symbol," said Kimberly. After she said this four spotlights cut on each on a different kind of chair. One was a small throne like chair that was hovering over the Mind's eye symbol; another was a padded T-shaped perch perfect for a bird, with the hurricane symbol at the intersection of the crossbar and stand. Next, there was a large pile of pillows each with the Colorless symbol on them, and lastly there was a small platform on a pole with the stinger symbol on it.

Mew simply teleported to her seat, Minda and Quentin flew to there's, and Evan walked to his. As soon as they were seated a voice cried out "PURE LIGHT!" and a sphere of light formed in the middle of the room. This sphere levitated up to the ceiling and burst illuminating the entire room. It was a very large meeting hall with a domed ceiling. It was large enough to hold several onix's stacked on each other and wide enough to hold several snorlax's placed next to each other. There were twenty seats arranged in a circle. There are four large doors on each wall each corresponding to a cardinal direction. There is a huge stained glass skylight with the symbol for the element Rainbow in it. The walls with doors in them are straight, the rest are curved. There are walkways leading from the doors to the center of the room and in-between each walkway there are additional seats for an audience, but they are now empty.

In the center of the meeting room there stood an all white, ivory-colored pikachu. It had glowing green eyes and was strangely wearing a pair of gold goggles on the top of its head.

"Hello, now that our last to members have arrived we will start the meeting with a few introductions. Not all of us have completely regained our memory, so that will be the second order of business, providing we get to. Starting from my left, going in a counterclockwise direction, I will introduce everyone. Representing the fire element with the symbol of fire Eternal flame, Robert Ignite," the moltres just nodded from a fiery, t-shaped perch with a circle with a flame symbol in it at the crosspiece. With the water symbol Torrent "Kiersta Streams," a golduck's head popped out from a pool of water with a circle with a water drop symbol in it at the bottom. And with the electric symbol Charge "Candice Storm," a zapdos cried and thunder crashed from a t-shaped perch made of electricity with a circle with a thunderbolt in it. Continuing, with the grass symbol Timeless, which was a circle with a leaf inside of it, "Jennifer Flora," a bellossom, that strange pokémon from before, waved cheerily from her grassy hill like seat that had her symbol made of flowers on it. "Joslynn Frigid," with the ice symbol Enthrall frost looked up from her icy perch indifferently, the circle with a snowflake on it represented the articuno's cold beauty perfectly.

"Leslie Couriga," a hitmonlee opened her eyes from the mat with a circle with a fist in it, the symbol for fighting types called Strike. With the poison symbol, Hazard "Sidney Bane," a muk looked up respectively from a toxic pit with signs around it. Each one had a circle with a biohazard sign inscribed in it. And with the symbol for ground called Gaia's wave "Phillip Atlas," a marowak glared at the speaker from a sandstone stool with a circle with a wave contained within.

"Quentin Zephyr," the pidgeotto just glanced at the electric mouse. Kimberly Vision, the mew from earlier just closed her eyes and nodded. "Minda Etom," who paid closer attention at the sound of her name. "Evan Norman," the jigglypuff looked around confused. (I thought my last name was commons. It seems our last names are the names of whatever pokemon we bonded with.) The jigglypuff thought.

"Alton Stoner," who has the symbol for rock, Steadfast. A golem stood by on a rock, which had a circle with what looked, like a bolder badge in it. "Justin Drake," with the dragon symbol Immortal blood, a dragonite waited patiently from a throne, with a circle with a rising oriental-style dragon inside it inscribed on the back, for the introductions to be over. With the ghost symbol, Loss, which looked like a circle with a black vertical rectangular shaped tombstone inscribed in it, "Mimi Phantasm," a strange purple ghost floated with large red eyes, hair that moved like a supernatural torch and a bead necklace called misdreavus, smiled sinisterly.

The holder the steel focus that had the steel symbol called Resistance on it "Dawn Shears," a medium sized red bug called a siczor clicked its steel-lined scissor like claws. She smiled from her steel lined platform that had a circle with a triangle at the center surrounded by three disconnected angles inscribed on it. Introducing the dark holder with the symbol, True cause, which looks like a circle with a black crescent moon in it, "Arron Slink," a strange ice blue creature called a sneasel appeared, extending its own hook shaped claws. "And finally, Ebony Shade and myself Michael Flash," an all black pikachu with cobalt blue eyes stared out of the shadows at the speaker as he finished.

"Now that, we are all reintroduced, let the true meeting began."
