Part 6: Star rising and Star risen

As Jenson Decorous stood thing on a hillside a pink figure wearing a shell that looked like a crown. "Hi Mandarin, what's going on?" he greeted. Mandarin was his slowking and the first pokémon he got. "I just came to get you. We are leaving in a few minutes," said his old friend. "Well ok, I was just remembering the previous year.

{One year ago, the end of autumn} The miltank just finished her rollout attack bowling over the hitmonchan like he wasn't even there. Jenson was worried. Another hit like that and his hitmonchan named Flurry won't be able to stand.

"Flurry, end it now! Use Mach punch! The punching pokémon heard the command stood and dashed forward so fast he became a blur. He then delivered a punch, which sent the milk cow pokémon in to dream land and the plain badge into Jenson's hands.

After recalling his exhausted pokémon, receiving the badge and TM 45, Jenson was about to leave when a deep voice stopped him.

"Your pretty good for a beginner." Jenson turned to face the voice. A teenager about 15 years old, wearing a red pokémon league jacket with a black shirt underneath, blue jeans white sneakers and a red and white pokémon league hat. A pikachu stood on his green backpack as he adjusted his green fingerless gloves. He had brown eyes and wild spiky black hair underneath an official pokemon league hat.

"Who are you?" Jenson asked.

"I'm Ash Ketchum," came the response.

"Well Ash, you look like a pokémon trainer how about we battle after I get my pokémon healed." Challenged the young boy.

"Sure why not. Meet me south of Goldenrod City in a hour," responded the rival trainer. The young boy ran toward the pokémon center. As soon as he entered it, he stopped as he saw certain pink haired little girl. The 8 - year old girl had deep blue eyes filled with kindness and life. She was wearing a white skirt, which reaches her knees, a multi-colored tank top, red boots and gloves, and a pair of rose tinted sunglasses on her head. She turned from the window and yelled "JS, you promised to take me to you match!"

"Sorry, Spooky" Jenson apologized.

"Jolie, what did I tell you about yelling in the center," said Nurse Joy to her daughter, who was the girl who was addressed by Jenson earlier.

After getting his pokémon healed, the two friends, Jenson and Spooky, started to walk toward the north. "Did you win the plain badge?" then young Joy asked.

"Yeah, I did." Jenson said.

"I can't wait to start my own journey!" The girl exclaimed. "Well, you have already seen more of the world than I have. After all you and you mom moved from Lavender Town." Jenson pointed out.

"Yeah, but I was to young to remember what the trip was the like. If I still lived there I would get a ghost pokemon because there so cute," Spooky said.

"It looks like we're here," Jenson said looking around.

Ash stood waiting across a dirt field. A rectangular arena was painted on the ground. This area was used for local pokémon battles. "Ok, kid let's do make this match a One on One. Is that ok with you?" Said the older pokemon trainer.

"You bet!" Jenson shouted as he ran to his side.

"Pikachu, your up," Ash said quietly.

Jenson yelled, "Go for it, Electra" as his pikachu appeared in a flash of light from her poke ball.

{Pikachu's POV} As I stood ready to fight my opponent, I knew I could beat anything; after all training with Ash has made me extremely powerful. In retrospect, however, this was a battle I wasn't prepared for and couldn't win. She appeared like an angel from heaven, her blue eyes shone with the light one thousand morning skies. And I suddenly wondered what the heck was wrong with me!

{Electra's POV} I came out ready to give my all, when I saw him. With his brown eyes, fur like gold with shined in the noonday sun. His ears stood up and tall. And what am I thinking I have a battle to win!

{End POV} The two trainers looked steadily at each other, watching for weakness. Clouds shot by in the heavens. The brown grass around the field rippled. They both shouted out their commands. "Pikachu, Thunder!" "Electra, Surf!" They wait to see which pokémon will come through. A few tense moments pass, and at the same time realize that there pokémon have done nothing but stare at each other.

"Electra, are you ok?" Jenson asked.

"Pikachu, can you go on?" Ash asked.

The two electric mice suddenly come to life, both using agility to disappear. The trainers stood staring dumbly at were there pokémon use to be.

"Don't just stand there, let's go find your pikachu!" Spooky yelled, surprising the heck out of JS and Ash. The three humans began to search after that.

Meanwhile the objects of this search stopped in a clearing a good distance away from the place there were going to clash. *You're pretty fast, * Electra said to Pikachu.

*Thanks, but you're slightly faster. You kept ahead of me the whole way. * He responded.

*Do, you really know thunder? * She asked.

*Yes, but its probably not as good as yours. * He said rubbing the back of his in mild embarrassment. (He's strong and modest about it. I like that.) Electra thought to herself.

*Do you really know surf? I only met one of our kind who knew that move. * He asked breaking her train of thought.

*Y-yes, I do, * She stuttered while sending out a small wave into a near by tree.

*Cool, * he commented. She smiled and blushed. *Do you mind if I show you my thunder attack? * He asked.

*Go for it, * she said. He charged up an incredible amount of electric energy then released up in to the air, which came down into a tree as a huge pillar of energy, blowing to small pieces.

*Wow! I am impressed. * She said, giving him some applause.

"We know we were!" said three voices in unison.

"To protect the world from devastation."
"To unite all people with in our nation."
"To denounce the evils of truth and love."
"To extend our reach to the stars above."
"Jessie" said a red hair woman in white team rocket uniform.
"James" continued a lavender haired man in the same.
"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light,"
"Surrender now or prepare to fight."
"Meowth, that's right!" said a cat pokemon

*We in trouble, its Team Rocket! The elite criminal origination! * Screamed Electra.

*Where, oh you mean these three losers, * Pikachu responded looking around than at TR.

"Watch your mouth, Meowth doesn't like your tone." Said the scratch cat.

"Weezing, get them!" James said releasing his gas pokemon.

"Arbok, attack!" Jessie screeched freeing her cobra pokemon.

*THUNDER!!! * *SURF!!! * The two electric mice screamed at the same time. The cobra and the gas ball look on in terror at the huge wave of electrified water coming toward them. It smashed into them fainting weezing and greatly weakening Arbok.

*Take this, Thunder punch! * Electra cried smashing her electrified paw into Arbok, fainting her. "James we're losing, do something!" Jessie screamed.

"Victreebel, you up!" James said. The giant flycatcher pokémon materialized with a blood-chilling screech.

*Let's double team, Electra! * Pikachu said. *Right! * She answered. *Double thunderbolt! * The both said. Two huge streams of electricity smashed into the plant, doing absolutely nothing. The electric duo stared in shock.

"Victreebel, razor leaf!" James commanded. The giant plant shot out several huge leaves slashing the two rival pokémon and knocking them back. "Victreebel, wrap then slam." Victreebel wrapped a vine around Electra, and then slammed her into pikachu.

"Meowth, prepare the rubber net." Jessie said to the small pokemon. He nodded than pulled the net out of some bushes.

"Victreebel, toxic and paralyze powder!" James said, tasting victory. The vine that was still wrapped around Electra injected something in her, while a strange gold powder covered Pikachu. Electra was dropped on the now paralyzed pikachu.

"Meowth, now throw the net," James said. As the net flew threw the air, it was slashed apart by hundreds of leaves.

"What the!" Team Rocket exclaimed.

"We are prepared for trouble," said a deep voice.

"Leave our pikachu alone!" exclaimed a younger voice another voice.

"Yeah, or you will get beat up," said a third higher pitched voice. JS, Ash and Spooky walked into the clearing with a bulbasaur and a slowking.

"Mandarin, confusion!" JS ordered his slowking. A blue glow surrounded victreebel as it was lifted off the ground and thrown into Team Rocket.

Victreebel got up, than ate James head. "Not me, get them!" cried the male team rocket member.

"Looks like Meowth has to rough you twerps up," mumbled the scratch cat. He leaped to fury swipe JS face, only to stop in front of him in mid-air when Jenson's eyes started to glow blue. Jenson roundhouse kicked him right back to the ground in front of Jessie.

"That kid's a psychic!" she cried in surprise.

JS sent. Both pokémon and trainers eyes started to glow blue; "Bulbasaur, use solar beam," Ash said. The two attacks slammed into Team Rocket, blasting them off again to disappear in twinkle over the horizon.

"Guy's something is wrong with your pikachus. One is badly poisoned, and the other is partially paralyzed. We need to get them some medical attention, fast!" Spooky said worriedly. Electra was out cold and Pikachu looked like he was in a lot of pain.

"Where do we go, Goldenrod City is hour away, and every step we take they would get worse," stated Ash stated fearfully.

"There is Breeding center near here operated by an old couple. You two can leave them with me at the center while you go to the pokémon center in Goldenrod for help," Spooky suggested. The two Trainers nodded, picked up their pokémon, and all three ran in the direction Spooky pointed out as ominous storm clouds formed on the horizon.

About five minutes later, the small group ended up at the door of a small cottage. It was painted a beautiful white color. It had a picket fence surrounding a small yard on the right. Spooky knocked on the red paneled door as the two boys fidgeted behind her. The door opened slowly to reveal a kindly looking old man. "May I help you kids?" he inquired.

"We have an emergency here! These two pikachu were injured in a battle and we need some antidote and some paralyze heal!" spoke Spooky rapidly.

"I don't have made right now, but if you can wait I will make some," he said calmly.

"I'm not going to wait, I'm going to Goldenrod. Joy; take care of Pikachu for me while I go. I shouldn't be to long. JS, will are you coming with me?" Ash asked.

"Yes," he answered. The two boys handed there pokémon to Spooky and ran toward Goldenrod, the with a storm building around them.

{Electra's POV} When I woke up I noticed I was in a bed, in a corner of a large room. That nice Pikachu was standing next to that little girl who was always following Jenson around and listening to them talk about something. He turned and ran over to me when he saw me looking. *How are you feeling? I was worried about you. * He asked.

I'm fine, how long was I out? * I said rising to my feet.

*A day. Ash and your trainer have gone to the city to help us but got trapped there by the storm. * He said.

*What storm? * I asked. He pointed at a near by window. When I looked outside all I could see was endless sheets of sleet, hail and lighting. (Fire and wind! That's some storm. Jenson couldn't teleport trough that. Looks I am stuck here.) I turned and looked at my companion, and wondered if that was such a bad thing.

{Jenson's POV} It had been a whole week before the storm abated. We managed to call the center and confirm that everything was all right, but we couldn't get there because it wasn't safe to travel even that far. When the storm had passed it truly was winter now, for the temperature had dropped to staggering lows. Ash and I had left as soon as we could. This time we had supplies. We got there quite fast even with the ice and snow on the ground. The cottage with covered with ice and snow, making it look like a glittering jewel or a frosted cake. I noticed Spooky and the old man chipping at then ice around the door, allowing it to open easier.

"Hi, you two. We're back!" Ash greeted.

"HI YOU GUYS! You will never guess what happen this morning. And Jenson don't read my mind, I want it to be a surprise," Spooky responded excitedly.

"You right, I can't guess and besides, I like surprises," I said.

"You kids go on, I will finish out here," said the old man. We nodded are thanks, than she lead us into the house. We to a back room and found our pikachu, an old lady, and a yellow pokémon egg with long black triangles on it. It took me two seconds to figure out what happened.

The old man walked up behind us trainers and said, "We came to check on your pokémon and found an egg. We don't know how it got there, but which one of you wants to keep it."

"Pikachu, how? What? I don't understand," Ash sputtered out, just beginning to figure out the implications.

"Isn't this cool!" Spooky said. "Yes it, is but if these two are couple now, they won't want to be split up. Isn't that right Electra?"

"Pika!" *Right! * She said hoping off the table she was standing on. As she did pikachu finally stopped staring at the egg and noticed Ash. "

Pikapi!" He cried jumping in Ash's arms.

"You're a father now aren't you," Ash mused. "Jenson, we need to talk."

"Sure," I responded.

{End POV}

The two trainers, the pokémon, the old couple, and Spooky all sat in the living room of the cabin in front of a roaring fire. "So Jenson, what are you planning to do?" Ash asked.

"Well, I planned to go and get my last five Johto badges," Jenson said looking down at Electra and Pikachu talking and cooing over the egg. "What where you doing in Goldenrod anyway? Your already have all of the badges," He asked.

"I was done meeting an old friend and I was own my way back to Kanto," He stated in a thoughtful tone. "Are you planning to get the Kanto badges too? If so, I will give you my number and you can keep calling me on your pokégear," He said. He then handed Jenson a monorail ticket. "I can meet up with you when you get to Saffron City. I will be ready to go on a journey with you. Also, the call me if the egg is going to hatch. Alright?"

Jenson, Spooky and Electra watched as Ash and Pikachu prepared to get on the Monorail. "Are you sure you can't come with me on my trip? You experience and advice will make it easier for me to learn how to be a master," Jenson pleaded.

"I would love to keep those two together, but I have no choice but to get back to Kanto. Take care of that egg," He said tipping his cap as got on the train.

{Electra's POV} *Must you go? I want us to be together? * I asked.

*I'm sorry my love, Ash is my trainer and friend. I can't leave him. I will never forget you and our child doing our time apart, * Pikachu said. He vanished in blur and reappeared holding a ring attached to two necklaces. *This ring will remind me of you when I'm gone, * he said as he broke it in two half rings, one on each necklace. I put mind on, as did he.

"Pikachu, let's go!" Ash yelled. "The train's going to leave us."

*Well, I have to go, * he said trying not to cry, but failing.

*I will wait till the day we meet again my love, * I whispered as he left with his friend, tears running down my face.

{The present}
{Jenson's POV}
After that event, I journeyed all over Johto and collected the last five badges. The egg didn't hatch until we reached Saffron City and met Ash and Pikachu again a few days ago. It was in the gym when I when to talk to Sabrina, the master psychic with Ash. We gathered around as the egg started crack. The proud parents watched ear sprang up then the next. Two small paws popped out and the egg shattered in half to reveal a small pichu. Strangely enough, the pichu was a strange gold color where it was supposed to be yellow. Electra and Pikachu didn't seem to care, so I didn't either.

So, now I'm going to start collecting more badges, as soon as I get back to the pokémon center.

{End POV}

As the young trainer walked into the city gates a shadowy shape stood in early morning haze watching him. It knew it would be time to strike soon.
