Jenson walked into the pokémon center having a quiet conversation with his slowking. "Hi, there!" shouted an annoyingly cute voice. Jenson looked up to see the Nurse joy from goldenrod and her daughter.
"What are you two doing here?" inquired Jenson.
"Mom came here to see her sister's third cousin's Aunt." Spooky said rolling her eyes.
"Hello, everyone long time no see," greeted another familiar voice. Jenson turned around dropping a pokéball open in the process.
"Ash, surprising what happened yesterday," he said as Electra appeared next to him in a flash off red light. Pikachu stuck his head over Ash shoulder.
"Pika!" *Electra! * He shouted. The two electric mice and slowking started a conversation while Jenson walked over to the Saffron City Nurse Joy who was talking to the Nurse Joy from Goldenrod City.
"Can I have my pichu back?" he interrupted.
"Chansey!" said Nurse Joy's assistant as she handed back Jenson's pichu.
"Did you drop her off for a check up?" Spooky asked him as he walked back to where Ash and the pokémon are standing.
"I sure did," he said letting her down to run to her parents, who smiled and greeted her.
"Mom, and I want to go on a picnic on off of Route 7. I asked Ash to join us, and he said yes. Will you come to?" she asked him very excitedly.
"Sure, why not?" he responded.
Elsewhere, the bearer's of Flying, Light and Shadow dashed above and through the forested area past Fuchsia City. To any watchers, only a black, white and brown-gray blur shot by. The three were moving fast northward to route 7, and nothing could get in their way.
The group of four humans and three pokémon reached the picnic area, intent on having a relaxing day. The morning was bright and pidgeys sung in the sunshine. Pikachu's daughter watched in fascination from Spooky's arms as some Ladyba flew by. "Hey Jenson, let's our pokémon out alright?" Ash suggested.
"Sure, Poké balls go!" he said releasing his remaining five pokémon." "Meet Flurry the hitmonchan, Dianna the sneasel, Lila the bellossom, Shatter the scizor, Mandarin the slowking, and you all have meet Electra the pikachu and her daughter, yet to be named," Jenson said introducing everyone. Nurse Joy released her chansey; Medic and Ash released his bulbasaur, chikorita, muk, kingler and pikachu, as these were the only pokémon he had with him. And the picnic started.
After everyone had eaten, Flurry, Lila, Shatter, Electra, Pikachu, Mandarin, the pichu and Muk, got into a game of tag. Medic watched in case someone got hurt. Dianna and Chikorita where taking naps by the respective trainers and Kingler had found a small pond nearby to swim around in. The humans all sat around the table talking and enjoying the pre-noon sun. All was peaceful. And all that peace came to soon to an end.
Mandarin had just been tag and was running after Pichu and was catching up surprisingly, when a blast of lighting smashed into his side sending him in to the pond Kingler was swimming in. All present turned toward the blast, each with different emotions. Flurry with anticipation, Lila with worry, Shatter and Jenson, and Dianna with anger, Electra and Pikachu with fear for their child, The Pichu in fear, Mandarin with pain, Muk, Ash, and Spooky with shock, and Medic and Nurse Joy with alarm. Three shapes emerged from the trees in to the picnic area as Electra and Pikachu ran to Pichu and Medic and Nurse Joy ran to Mandarin. One was a blue pokemon with white spots. Its tail split into to two coming around to the front like two white streamers. It had long blue hair that blue in the wind. It was the legendary pokemon Suicune. Next to her was a large yellow and black pokemon with white saber fangs and a jagged tail. It was the electric pokemon Raikou, another legendary. It was from him the blast originated. Last was a red pokemon, with fire in its blood. It had iron rings around each leg and it was powerfully built. This is the legendary and brave pokemon, Entei.
*Why, why did you attack us? * shouted Shatter.
*We have come for the electric mouse child. Give her to us, * Suicune said with no emotion.
*The hell, you are! * yelled Dianna. "Dianna, stay with the kid. Electra, Lila take Suicune. Flurry, smash Entei and Shatter take care of Raikou," Jenson ordered after taking in the situation with his psychic powers.
"What is going on?" Spooky asked nobody in particular. Jenson, feeling that there was no time to explain, psychically updated the two Joy's. Ash knew already, for he had learned how to understand the pokemon language a long time ago. He shouted out his commands.
"Chikorita help with Suicune. Muk and Bulbasaur go after Raikou. Pikachu and Kingler go after Entei." As Nurse Joy and Medic pulled Mandarin out of the water and started to heal him, and Spooky speeded towards Dianna and the little one, the battle began.
{Shatter's POV}
I flew toward the electric tiger, dodging his thundershocks with my agility move. How dare he attack my friend and threaten another. I was angry because I felt responsible for the safety of the group. Muk just pounded Raikou, as Bulbasaur was tackled backward. I swooped in for a Slash attack, but he used agility to move out of the way at the last second so I slashed Muk instead, splashing him.
*Sorry, Muk! * I said. I was then hit from behind by a quick attack. I flew into the picnic table, smashing it into pieces. I stood up to see Raikou charging me. I proceeded to power up using sword dance and double team. Five of me hit the thunder cat head-on. I started to use my fury cutter. Each blow got stronger and stronger until I actually drew blood from his left shoulder. It sprayed out in fine mist as he winced in pain. The five of me jumped back as he was hit by a combination of a sludge bomb and solar beam. I flew up, preparing to dive down and hit him with my Metal claw attack.
{Lila's POV}
Electra, Chikorita, and I stood around a passive Suicune. She didn't seem to be worried.
*Your not getting my child! * screamed Electra as she launched her thunderbolt attack. The water monarch just used mist, deflecting the attack. She charged out of the mist toward Chikorita who jumped out of the way and used vine whip. I used my mega drain and Electra dashed out of the mist to hit her with a thunder punch at the time. The three attacks sent her to the edge of the pond. She stood up and smiled shakily as we prepared to attack again. I couldn't help but feel that we would win.
{Flurry's POV}
Finally a good brawl. I was starting to get edgy. I circled the big fire pokemon using agility with that Pikachu to try to confuse him. Kingler used bubble beam, which smashed right in to the guy. Pikachu hit him with a quick attack and I finished with a mega punch with knocked him into a tree. He stood up and roared the whole of his eyes turning pitch black.
*The time has come for the evil to control, killing all that stand in the way. The day of the soul has ended and only Hell remains, * He said in a deep voice that was not his own. Dark clouds filled the sky and the earth shook once. I stepped back in surprise.
He vanished and Kingler was crushed into the ground by multiple stomp attacks. Blood flowed; filling up the hole the giant crab was now in. Entei appeared, an aura glowing with the colors of a dark, inverted rainbow surrounding him, next to the hole and fired a massive, black fire blast at me. I dodged it and realized that it was headed for Shatter. He didn't even see it coming, because he was diving for a metal claw attack. He didn't scream as he was engulfed in black fire throwing him into a tree, a charred ruin.
Pikachu fired a large amount of electrical energy into the sky causing more clouds to form. The biggest blast of thunder I had ever seen crashed into Entei from the sky, creating a pillar of energy. Out of that energy came a wall of fire, a flamethrower attack. I tried to block it with a fire punch, because I couldn't dodge it. It smashed into me. As I was blasted back, my world burning, I thought (How is he this strong?) Then I fainted.
{Dianna's POV} When the battle had started, I lead the human girl and the baby mouse into some bushes. From here we could see Celadon City off a cliff.
*Stay put. * I ordered. The little mouse jumped into the little girl's arms as she looked at me with the saddest expression. "Be careful out there," she whispered. "I'll stay here. Could you go and check on Medic and my mom?" I nodded then crawled out of the bushes and headed for the pond. Mandarin was on his feet thanks to Nurse Joy's skills. I saw Jenson and Ash run toward the battle.
"Dianna, I am going to back Jenson up," He said.
*Don't! I hate to say this, but I my need you and the creampuff over there to protect the kids, * I said.
"Lead me to my daughter," the nurse commanded. The chansey, Joy, Mandarin and I ran back toward their hiding place. As we left something crashed were we were.
{Electra's POV}
Lila and Chikorita started a combination razor leaf and petal dance attack. However, before they could attack Suicune's eyes suddenly turned a soulless black. She fired a gust attack, which tore Chikorita and Lila off the ground and into the air. Then, she summoned the strongest blizzard attack I ever seen. The two torn and frozen remains hit the ground in front of her, barely alive.
*Noooo! * I yelled firing the most powerful thunderbolt I could, and she just used mirror coat, sending right back at me. The world turned white as I was blown back by the power. I collided with something else and whatever it was and I fell in front of some bushes. I stood shakily up and looked around me. Ash, who had recalled his fallen pokemon stood next to me. Pikachu, my life mate, who I had collided with and looked as bad as I felt. Nurse Joy, Medic, Dianna, and a patched up Mandarin stood in front of the bushes, looking very determined.
My life mate and I stood up. *Is she? * I started to ask.
*She is in the bushes behind us, * Medic said. I turned, just in time to see Raikou finish Muk and Bulbasaur with a thunder attack. A light rain started to fall as the three legends closed in on us, their eyes black pits. Ash recalled his fainted pokemon, and I looked around. The only one standing who could hope to put up a real fight was Dianna. Medic was a healer and the rest of us were battered.
{End POV} A flash of blue and a crash of lighting and Entei was sent flying through the air. A glowing blue apparition floated above the ground where the fire pokemon was.
"Ash, hold my pokemon, they are in bad shape and I don't want to make it worse," It said. The glow faded from Jenson who tossed his poke belt to Ash, with three full balls and three empties. He looked at Mandarin and sent him some kind of message, because the next moment they both teleported and smashed the still recovering Entei with a combination of a psi-powered punch and a mega punch. Dianna vanished and hit Raikou with a faint attack. She than dodged his bite and responded with a quick attack. Suicune fired off a water gun toward Ash but Medic blocked it with a light screen as Pikachu used quick attack too.
*Enough! * Entei roared after receiving a psi-powered spin kick. The same aura appeared around him and he fired a massive flamethrower at Jenson and Mandarin who teleported out of the way. Mandarin used surf at the same time Jenson used the most powerful attack he knew, Psychic. The two attacks smashed into the beast, but he bounded out of the water and energy perfectly fine, his coat shimmering in the rain. As thunder crashed in the heavens, he fired a fire blast so hot the ground beneath it melted. It crashed into the two blasting them back Mandarin tried standing up, but failed.
Dianna seeing Jenson and Mandarin go down was filled with so much rage that she could explode. The air around her grew dark as she decided to attempt the forbidden. She gathered power for two attacks, dodging Raikou thunder shocks. She combined faint attack and shadow ball, and fired the two together. So great was her rage when she did it they became a stronger attack. An aura of maroon, sliver, and black surrounded her as she screamed with the storm, *Death's shadow! * A ball of ghost and dark energy appeared before her, warping the air, and when it fired it vanished. Raikou paled with fear, looked around for the attack, when he was suddenly hit. It exploded with roar greater than the storm. The battle came to a temporary halt as both sides watched the mud and mist clear.
And it cleared with a gust of rain and wind. Raikou was still standing, but in a crater. He had a huge hole in his left side. Everyone could see his innards pulse with every breath.
*How the He..? * a drained Dianna started when Raikou smashed her into a tree with a huge spark attack. As he turned around, Electra noticed that the wound had started to automatically heal its self. (I have got to take them out in one blow.) She thought.
Thunder crashed, bolts rained down around her as the three closed in. An electric yellow-blue aura surrounded her tired and battered form. Even though it was painful she combined both her surf and thunder attacks. Both water and electricity were pulled toward her, and the three legends paused.
*Don't do it. We can find some other way! * Pikachu cried. (But I must, sorry my love.) She thought. *THUNDER SURGE! * Electra screamed as she released a huge wave of electrified water. The wave washed the three back through some trees, rocks and the picnic table deposited them at the bottom of a slope directly on route 7.
{The Pichu's POV} Mr. hat recalled Mr. Mandarin and Auntie Dianna. Nurse Joy was checking that nice guy. Mommy was lying down and Daddy was trying to keep her awake for some reason. I was with the shiny girl.
"You parents must be strong if they are the only ones still standing," she mummered. The pink lady was keeping Mommy awake by giving her own glow.
*Can we go to my Mommy? * I asked.
"Oh, do you want to go over there? Let's see how your Mother is doing," she said.
*You used up too much PP. You have to stay awake, * Daddy sobbed. * Mommy just smiled at him and nodded. Abruptly I felt terrified. I was so scared that I couldn't control my power and it started to come out.
{Spooky's POV}
The little mouse I was holding suddenly started sobbing and letting out some small sparks of electricity. Strangely these sparks glowed with a rainbow of colors and they did not hurt me. Pikachu, Medic, Electra, Mother, Ash, and I looked toward the end of the path Electra had made. Out of the misty rain came three indistinct shapes. Suddenly they vanished. All was quiet, except for the light rain and the sobs of the baby mouse I was holding. She went quiet and her ears stood straight up. Then I saw something I would never forget.
Massive blast of water that could only have been a hydro pump crashed into Medic, sending her plowing into the mud. Mother ran to check on her, but as she crossed in front of the two pikachus, she was hit a bubblebeam.
Jenson when he was hit had a psychic shield active. This gave him the same durability as a pokemon. Mother wasn't so lucky. She hit the ground with a wet smack. Ash and Pikachu were knocked back by two Quick attacks, sending them air born, a thin steam of blood coming of there mouth's when they hit the ground. And Electra was hit by a bite from Suicune. She was tossed into the air then blasted into the ground by a thunder shock. As she was lying on the ground, just trying to breathe, Entei started to stomp her until she stopped. Lighting flashed in the distance, as all three turned to the little one and me. (Mother, I will join you soon.) And I closed my eyes as tears filled them.
{End POV}
As all seemed loss, the rain stopped. The five still standing looked as around light, shadow and wind played across soaked fur, hair and clothes. And a brown bird and two mice finally arrived. "What happened?" Quentin asked.
"I don't know let's check in the mind that girl over there," said Ebony.
Now out of all the focus holders, nothing ticks off Michael more then injustice. And nothing makes Ebony angrier than when love is loss. When these two saw what had happened they totally lossed it.
"Quentin, make a shield around all those who can't fight. And leave theses three two us," Michael growled. When Quentin noticed it was getting both darker and lighter at the same time he nodded. The three legendary renewed their attack but struck a wall of moving air. Michael and Ebony walked through it like it wasn't there. One glowing with aura as black as midnight, the other with an aura as white as snow.
"I have one question; will you seek forgiveness for what you have done?" Michael asked.
*We will have the child, * Raikou said.
"I see," Michael whispered. And the holders of shadow and light changed.
A circle with a pentagram inscribed in it appeared above and below Ebony, and a circle with a plus inscribed in did the same for Michael. Both sets of circles closed on each other, creating two semi-transparent cylinders, one black and one white. Inside, one could just make out the silhouetted forms of two-pikachu floating. There was a flash of black and white light, a two people where standing there. Where the shadow Pikachu was, a raven-haired woman stood. She had dark brown skin and hair, which reached down to her neck. She had black eyes and was wearing a black long sleeve shirt under a black cloak. She was also wearing a pair of black jeans and sneakers.
The other was a brown skinned man with short black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a white trench coat with a light green shirt under it and white jeans and white sneakers. He was also wearing gold rimed glasses instead of goggles.
Michael opened his right hand palm forward and said quietly, "Holy blade." A globe of light appeared in front of Michael's open hand. He closed around it and it formed into a straight sword. The gleaming white blade was double-edged and had a blood channel going down the middle from its razor sharp tip. The hilt was made of a semi-transparent crystal, and on the pommel it had symbol of light, called Rising Sun, on it.
Ebony whispered "Shadow blade." {I couldn't resist this move and the ultimate shadow move.} Her shadow span around her then rose up to form a ball in front of her. This ball elongated then formed a black katana, its point facing down. The blade was a shadowy black, which absorbed light. Its single edge could cut through anything, and its point was just as sharp. The hilt was wrapped in black ribbon and had the symbol of shadow, called Eternal Night, on its pommel. She grabbed the hilt and reversed the blade, holding it with two hands in front of her.
"Now, you die," she whispered with her eyes closed, "Shadow dance."
Raikou blinked once, and she was kneeling behind him, her eyes glowing cobalt blue. A shadow passed over him; then blood spurted out of thousands of slashes. He fell into steaming chunks of flesh. Her aura of midnight surrounded her as she named and launched her next attack.
"Shade electric," she said, not even raising her voice. Standing and half-turning she threw out her left hand, holding her blade in her right, and a massive bolt of shadow energy consumed Raikou's bloody remains, leaving only black ash behind.
This took only two seconds. The two that remained let out moans of disbelief. *You'll pay, * spat Suicune. She fired a hydro pump at Michael. He calmly waited as the huge pillar of fluid rushed to him. He raised his left hand and glowing circle appeared in front of his open palm. The circle widened as big as his body and four beams of light shot and meet in the center of the circle forming its symbol.
He said two quiet words "Melt ray." A huge ray of light shot forward from were the beams intersected. It evaporated the hydro pump before it hit him and enveloped Suicune. She screeched in pain as her flesh melted off and her bones ran like tallow in the hot sun. The only thing left was a long burn mark in the path of the beam. Michael stood frowning, his eyes glowing green and his aura flaring pure white.
Entei looked at the shadow and looked at the light. He decided that he couldn't win fighting those two. He turned on his heels and dashed towards the pichu, whom had her back turned. He fired a powerful flamethrower as he came trying to weaken the windscreen before he reached it.
As he approached her Michael say two more words, "Warp motion." Michael could now move at the speed of light. Entei then was smashed up in to the air by a force. Michael had ran over and kicked the fire pokemon up. As he rose, he noticed a dark blur shot by. He looked up to see Ebony above him. Shadow gather above and Light below, as two powers cried together. "Daybreak, Nightfall!" Ebony brought her sword down, shadow energy flowing from the blade, turning the sky above her black as a starless night. Michael rose in an upward slash, a column of light spilling from the blade. The light and shadow collided with Entei as he started to fall. Citizens of both Saffron and Celadon clamed to see the false twilight that day for years.
Entei just screamed *Master we failed you! * as his body was quartered than disintegrated.
Ebony landed in a crouch, her eyes and aura still glowing. Michael flipped and landed in a tree. He too was still glowing. Spooky stared in shock as the pokemon she thought who couldn't be beaten where killed in moments. She remembered what had happened to her mother, and ran across the flooded soil.
"Mother! Mother wake up! Please, wake up!" she cried pitifully, tears coming down her cheeks. She grabbed her limp and cold hand and quietly sobbed. Quentin stood by and watched sadly. A rainbow colored thunder shock from the Pichu to her mother startled him. The little creature believed that her mother was just fainted. She did not under stand death. She curled up next to her mother and tried to fall asleep, thinking when she woke up she would be awake too. "Its too cruel," Ebony said.
"Somebody will pay for this," Michael promised.
When Jenson woke up, an all white pikachu with goggles on his head was looking at him with quizzically. "Hi, little fellow. Will you tell me if you have seen three large cat-like pokemon?"
"If you mean the false Suicune, Raikou and Entei, they're dead," He replied. "You are the last one healed, so all your friends are outside," he said over his shoulder as he left through a whole in some near by bushes. Now you or I would be surprised to hear a pokemon speak perfect human talk, but Jenson figured his psychic powers were translating for him. He noticed that he was in some kind of den made up of bushes and branches. He crawled out sense he was too tall to stand in it. Outside found Ash, his pokemon, Ash's pokemon, Medic and Spooky all sitting around a bonfire, which lit up the night. Around him two vulpix pups played while two adult ninetales watched carefully. (So, I was in ninetales den.) Jenson thought. The pikachu was waiting for him.
"Please sit, in the circle. We feel the need to explain what just happen to you," he said. Jenson nodded.
As he approached, he noticed several things. One was the fact that Spooky looked very despondent. Another was the fact that the little pichu was sitting next to her father and they both were looking equally unhappy. As he got closer he realized two of the group were missing. "Oh God.." he mummered as his legs failed him. One of the near by ninetales looked at him in sympathy.
Michael looked around the fire at the assembled group. Ebony and Quentin had arrived, along with ninetails family. He paused to consider his words, then began. "Those three were after the child over there due to the fact that she is the rainbow focus holder." He explained the situation with Kain and what a focus holder was. "You are best hope of wining and protecting this world," said to her.
*But how can I do anything, I haven't gone thorough my naming. How can I be one of the most powerful pokemon in the world? * the Pichu asked.
*Then I will give you one, * said her father. *I name you Electra. * All the pokemon where shocked. To be given an adult name, much less one of your parents' names, was a very big honor. It meant that your family had a lot of trust in you to live up to the name. Pokemon believed that names were very important. They where supposed to reflect the bearer. A lot of unattached pokemon {That's wild pokemon to you and me} never took another after they out grew their childhood name. That's why attached pokemon responded well to a gatherer {That's a pokemon trainer to humans} who gave them a good name.
*But daddy, I.. Thank you!" Electra said. She burst in tears. The two hugged and everyone clapped. Spooky looked a bit confused as too what is going on, as she was the only one who could not understand pokemon talk. "Now the only thing left if for you to find a human partner. You have to bond with one soon, other wise you could possibly be captured in a poke ball. Also this will let you be able to understand what they are like and be able to walk among them with less caution," Ebony said.
Electra the second looked around the clearing, still more than a little sad from her loss. She looked at a silent Ash, and still shocked Jenson and a gloomy Spooky. She made her decision. She left her father's side and ambled over to the girl who had lost both of her parents. She looked into the young joy's eyes and saw herself. "Pichu," she said. The fire burning was the only sound.
After explaining to spooky what had happen, she agreed to let the bond happen. "Are you sure about this, there is no turning back after this," Quentin said. Both of them affirmed their decision.
"Ok, all you have to do is hold Electra, Spooky. And Electra, do the move I showed you in your mind," Michael said. Electra jumped into Spooky's arms. And the bond started.
{Electra's POV}
I concentrated only on finding my inner power. A porygon 2 named Lisa, showed me how in my head. Now all I had to do is use that knowledge to find my heart. I looked and there it was a flickering sphere, pulsing like the rhythm in of my blood. Mommy, Daddy, I hope to make you proud. I touched my power and all became bright.
{End POV}
To everyone watching, the sky lit up like day. Michael's aura flared brighter than ever; so did Ebony's and Quentin's. In fact every focus holder aura's flared. A rainbow crashed down from the sky and completely covered both, Spooky and Electra. The ground started to shake as a huge sphere covered the clearing. Everyone in the clearing felt an incredible feeling, as though they could do anything. They felt as they could reach their dreams, and nothing could stop them. As the sphere shrank down, and where two once where one remained. Jolie (Spooky) Electra the pichu, the rainbow focus holder looked around once and said "cool!"
"We would like to take little Electra back with us. She needs to be shown how to use her powers properly," Ebony suggested.
*I guess so," Pikachu said sadly from Ash's shoulder. Everyone had been recalled, and the holders and the trainers decided to part ways.
*I'll miss you daddy, * Electra said.
"Well I for one want to fight Kain!" Jenson shouted.
"If you want the chance, enter the prime cup on Stadium Island. We have gotten a report from Arron while you were recovering that he will make his move there," Michael said. Ash and Jenson exchanged a glance.
"We'll be there Ash said.
"Oh yeah! I almost forgot; Lisa made a cover story for you, so don't worry about explaining what happened," Quentin said. With that they disappeared in a rainbow flash. "You all right?" asked Ash holding a depressed Pikachu.
"Never better," answered Jenson tears coming down his cheeks, "never better."
