Marius cut thought the air, letting the power of the destruction focus take over. Inverting to fifty percent, He channeled his power to the shield of energy.

[Marius, Ebony and I will created a distraction,] Michael said. The Mewtwo had carried them above the floating dreadnought. Both changed into there alter egos. The two special pikachu gathered their power and jumped from the bubble. Shooting down as like a twin bolts of shadow and light, they stuck the surface of the hovering ship creating a huge explosion. The moment they did, blast of dragon, fire, ice and normal elemental energy lanced out to the bubble. Kimberly nodded to the trainers and with a thought; she, Arron, Spooky, the Silent Searchers, and the trainers vanished, only to appear on top of the structure.

"Great, now that we are up here, how do we get in?" Kryis asked, her hair blowing in the high altitude winds. The ground shuddered as the four inner holders attacked the structure with a will.

"Easy," Arron said shifting to his pokémon form. *Darkness blade! * He exclaimed holding left clawed paw skywards.

{Attack: Darkness blade Type: (Dark) At: 240 Ar: 90% crimson energy is gathered to a point. The user slashes at the target creating a clean cut though them. Then the dark energy explodes from the wound, causing a great deal of damage. }

Dark energy gathered around his claw. He struck downward creating a large narrow gash on the surface. Holding his paw out behind his back in a half turn, the cut flowed in the direction he was pointing. Lifting his left straight up, the cut expanded and exploded, leaving a large gaping cut where the could see the pulsing insides of the structure.

*Very subtle, dark boy, * Kimberly said. He shrugged then leapt in the hole. The trainer’s followed. Spooky and silent searches started to head across the metal plain they were standing on instead. *And where are you going? * She asked.

"To find a subtler way in!" Spooky exclaimed. Kimberly shook her head and dove in after Arron. The hole lead to a catwalk over a pulsing river of elemental power. Pipes lead out of the stream to the surface of the ship. These pipes lead to small, low pyramids on the structure. From there the attacks fired to the island below or the skies above. The trainers looked around in awe.

"I think I speak for all of us when I say, whoa!" Nina exclaimed looking over the vast stream of energy.

[Kain must be using the power of the others somehow. I wonder how he found a way to extract the power without their permission?] Kimberly sent. [No matter, let’s follow this stream back to its source.]

"I see that’s where the other’s would be," Jared said to himself.

*Then what are waiting for? Let’s go! * Arron said dashing off down the catwalk. The others followed, a slightly slower pace. Outside, the battle was escalating. Marius fired attack after attack, dodging or blocking the attacks from the fortress. Lisa attacked from the other side, using her own abilities.

"Interference," She droned as she fire a burst at the ring.

{Attack: Interference Type: (creation) At: 600 Ar: 100% a beam of static is shot to a target. It interferes with there nerves, or controlling mechanisms causing paralyzes and confuses them. The created white nose has a 20% chance of paralysis and confusion. }

However her attack was in vain, as protect shield was created around it. "Darn. This is pointless. I need a better attack," She murmured. Ebony and Flash fought their way to the central spire. Being so close to the surface, they didn’t have to worry about some of the long-range attacks. However the did have to dodge explosions, self-destructs, and shrapnel explosions. Plus every so often there would be a protect barrier stopping them.

Meanwhile inside the trainers and the two holders had reached actual hall. After moving down it, they found a small wall terminal. Jared used his laptop to access a floor plan. After a few tense moments, the six humans and the three pokémon watched as the screen booted up. First the screen turned pitch black, and then a red R spiraled into the center of it. The logo shrunk to a box that moved to the upper left corner of the screen. Across the top the words Neo Gold Sanctuary computer systems printed out. A menu opened up next.

"Ok, let’s see here the map option," Jared said clicking on that icon. A map showed them outside power conduit fifty-two. Down the hall and to the left was a warp title that would take them to the main control block. Apparently there were several warp titles that were used to get around instead of elevators. Currently only forty percent were working.

[That makes sense. Since teleport is a psychic move, he needs me for the warp titles to work. He must be using one of the others as a substitute. Probably Mimi.] Kimberly sent.

*Then I wonder what will happen if he captured all of us. What powers would this thing get? * Arron asked.

"Good question, hopefully we will never find out," Nina said.

"Let’s get to the main control center and stop this thing," Jenson said.

"Well that will be a problem, as there are five substations, one at each star point," Ann said looking at the map. "From each the vital functions of the ship can be run."

[Of course! Now I see. This thing really is made like the original GS. In each point there is a node for a key. When elements battle, all can be gained or lost.

If the whole of the body is reflected in Sun, Moon and Sky

The sky is alpha, the earth is Beta, the moon is Gamma, the star is Delta, the sun is Epsilon, and the life is Omega.

If you have all six keys you could link all of the focuses together with all of the souls in the world. But you need to have them arranged in a set shape. This shape is a five-point star. The sun, moon, sky, earth and star keys will need to be arranged around the life, which will be in the middle. And who ever holds that key will be, the One Will, the one who will get ultimate power. Or so the theory goes. We never had more then five or six holders near all six keys at a time, and we never used all of them in conjunction with the rainbow true. That is the second part of this thing. There are seventeen outer elements, four inner, and three that make up the soul focus, the rainbow true. The first seventeen must be arranged around the four inners in a circle, inscribed in the star made by the keys. The four inner will make a spiral inside the first circle. And at the center of this will be the holder of the life key and the rainbow true,] Kimberly sent.

"So what do we do? Do we risk this from coming to pass and split up to take each point? Looking at the logo and from experience, the rockets are involved. Or do we just go after the main control room?" Destiny asked.

"We go after the points. After all the inner four are still free, and we have two of the outers with us. Plus he doesn’t have all of the parts of the "soul"," Isaac said.

"Ok, then let’s each go to our matching points, the split point is a thought a warp a few halls ahead of us." Jared said. The group moved ahead, on guard. Curiously no one challenged them. They even noticed a few cameras. Apparently they knew that they were there. The reached the warp tile with no problem. It only took Jared a moment to set the tile to take them to the room they need to go. The group step on it, but as they did, the target tile changed. So when the teleported they ended up somewhere else. It was a large room with a high doom ceiling. It was empty except for Kain who was standing with his back to them. Then they noticed that they were in a large rectangle painted on the floor. There was a line that cut them off from Kain, and that line split into a circle in the middle of the rectangle.

"We’re in a stadium!" Kryis exclaimed.

"No, it’s actually a gym. The Neo Gym to be precise. And if you want to leave here with you lives, I suggest you win. After all what kind of trainer would back away from a official gym battle," Kain said turning around.

"This isn’t even a official gym," Jared said grabbing a pokéball.

"Put that away. Normal pokémon don’t stand a chance against this one," Destiny said. "We have to use are new powers if we want to escape." She pulled out her whip and cracked it. Black electricity surged along it. Isaac drew his light rapier. And Kryis pulled her bazooka up on to her shoulder. Jared, Ann, and Jared looked at each. Ann pulled her bow up, but before she could pull an arrow, one of fire appeared in her hand. Jenson concentrated and an aura of rainbow surrounded him. Two glowing rainbow swords appeared in front of him. He pulled each from the air and two his sides in to streaks of prism energy. And Jared, maroon energy surrounded his hands as a pair of knuckled dusters appeared on his hands. Kimberly backed out, while Arron and Nina charged up.

"Now if you kids are ready," Kain said cracking his knuckles. Jared started the attack by charging forward. He hit the void holder with a flurry of punches and kicks. The boy was surprised do to the fact he knew no martial arts, yet he was attacking with blows from several disciplines. But each blow was blocked, dodged or deflected. Kain caught a right palm strike with his left and smiled. "Nice child, but let me show you how it’s done." He counter attacked by thrust kicking Jared back. While the ten-year old stumbled back he hit him with a flurry of punches and kick so fast that not even Arron could see all of the blows. He ended the series of blow with a roundhouse kick to the head that knock the boy clear out of the arena. He turned forming a two-handed sword to block Jenson’s downward chop. Jenson swung blow after blow with his new weapons. Each was blocked with the same unnerving speed that he used on Jared. Even when Isaac joined in, also psychically augmenting his speed, Kain blocked all of the blows from the three swords. Both leap back and attacked with their elements.

"Grand Cutter!" Isaac yelled bring his sword up in a diagonal sweep.

"Rainbolt!" Jenson said pointing both blades at the void holder attacking with a multi-elemental blast. The attacks of element energy directly hit the shape shifter. The light attack slashed though Kain, and the rainbow blew up the master of the void. The five remaining trainers waited for the smoke to clear.

"Behind you," Arron yelled! Isaac turned and let fly with a light ray. Kain dodged the blast of white lighting as he punched the teen in the gut.

"That actual stung, boy." He said to a gasping Isaac then he hit him point blank with a Negative lighting attack. The bolt of evil energy knocked Isaac out. He calmly turned and ducked under the blades of Jenson who tried to cut his head off. He released a burst of Devil’s light. Jenson teleported out of the way, but the balls of cold light changed direction and hit him as soon as he appeared. Kain reformed his sword and let Destiny’s whip wrap around it. "Demon Edge" He whispered throwing the sword at Destiny.

{Attack: Demon Edge Type: (void) At: 550 Ar: 100% A blade is made out of the evil in the users heart. The shape and form is determined by the amount of the evil. }

The shadowy trainer smirked and allowed her whip to vanish. She danced around the incoming blade as Ann and Kryis let him have it. Fire arrows and energy shells slammed into Kain.

"Imagine," Kryis shouted.

{Attack: Imagine Type: (Creation) At: varies Ar: varies the creation type changes the reality in front of them. Anything can be made. }

As Kryis visualized the weapon she wanted, Ann covered Destiny. Destiny was using blasts of black-blue shadow electricity to keep Kain busy.

"Enough!" Kain yelled after darting out of the way of yet another flash point. "Destruction calling!" The void power cut across the arena, a shock wave of light and power. Ann tried to move, but was mowed down. The blast also knocked Destiny and Kryis into the air. Kain meet Destiny there. He pounded her back down into the ground with a double fisted blow, and then kicked her out of bounds before she hit the ground. Rotating he blasted Kryis just as she hit the ground with a Demon Howling, the evil sound pulse knocking her out too.

He turned to deal with Arron only to find the sneasel was done inverting. Arron screamed and in a burst of darkness rushed Kain. The shape shifter tried to change forms, but was blasted across the arena by the darkness phase. While still in mid air, he was hit by a fury swipes attack followed by pain, which changed the direction of his flight. Skidding down he blasted into the metal wall denting it. Before he could recover he was hit by a blizzard, freezing him to the wall.

"Darkness blade!" He yelled slashing the frozen form of the void holder and the wall he was leaning on in half. The cut flashed red-black, then exploded outwards. Arron jumped back from the retaliating Infernal Fire. "Blood storm!" he yelled coming back down.

{Attack: Blood storm Type: (dark) At: 400 Ar: 80% a whirlwind of crimson and black energy is sent thought the air, creating a vortex that can trap a target. The energy slashes them open, in hundreds of shallow to deep cuts. }

He slashed at Kain with both claws in an X pattern. The dark attack launched hitting the rising form of the shape shifter as he rushed out of the explosion. But it didn’t do too much damage to the poliwrath. Kain attacked with a massive dynamic punch, but Arron in his keyed up state jumped on his fist and raked his body with a slash attack so powerful it cut out his left eye and left a bloody trail down his body. Arron came back across with another slash from the right and disemboweled the water/fighting type. Kain stumbled as Arron danced away from him. The dark/ice type licked the blood from his claws and smirked.

"You...you...will pay for that!" Kain shouted infuriated.

*Bring it, * Arron whispered before charging to the attack again. Kain’s from blurred than shifted again. Claws met claws as he turned into a sneasel as well. What followed next was a vicious exchange of blow after clawed blow. Slashes, stabs, feints and parries where exchanged at blinding speed. All of the attacks ended when both holders jumped by each other. They each turned and charged each other. Jumping in the air the both used Darkness blade. They both landed after the massive crimson slash. There was a short pause; then Arron fell on his knees nursing a massive gash on his chest. Kain hit the dark focus holder while he was stunned with rapid-fire infernal flames. He blasted Arron into a wall, and then thought it.

*And now there is only you two darlings, * Kain said turning to face Kimberly. Walking to the sitting mew, he realized she was just passively staring at him and the burning hole behind him. He raised a claw to her face, and she did nothing. She just sat there panting lightly. *And just how did you use so much energy just sitting there? * He asked. That is when he noticed that Nina and was gone. The ninetales was warped out of the room when he was busy fighting. But to break his lock on the title, Kimberly had to push herself to the limit.

*You know, that quick thinking you always did is why I loved you, * he whispered.

*And that smug attitude is why I left you, * She whispered back. He then knocked her out with one very massive blood storm.

(Well now I have the keys and the last two outer elements. It’s pity about the humans. I can’t kill them or else the keys will become useless. Oh well, now I have to deal with the inners, and then...her...) he thought.
