Chapter 8

Last time… We find Ben falling into a deep ravine. Was it an intentional act of suicide, or was it just exhaustion taking over his body. Honestly, who really cares? I sure as hell don’t. If he dies he dies. Oh well. Not that my opinion counts anyway, so on with the story.

I open my eyes to see two large blue eyes staring back into mine.
“Come on Rach, it’s to early.” I mumble.
She sighs. “What are we going to do with you.” She complains as I fall back asleep.

A few hours later:

I open my eyes to see two large blue eyes staring back into mine.
‘ This looks familiar’ I think to myself.  I shrug and attempt to sit up. No luck.
“I can’t move.” I groan.
“Obviously.” Rachel states rather annoyed.
“Why are you getting all pissed off.” I demand in a low dangerous voice, “It’s your fault this happened in the first place. If it wasn’t for you, I would probably of had 2 more badges.”
“I don’t need to take this!” Rachel exclaims, stomping away, “You want to be left alone, I’ll leave you alone… Forever!”
I watch as she marches out of view.
“Bitch.” I whisper to myself.
I try to sit up once again, with little success. After at least a while of trying, I finally manage to stand (but there is still a horrible pain in my back, and practically all over). I shrug off the pain and walk my way out of the forest.
You think that if you were this close to the city, you would know it. No point in crying about it.
I’ve finally reached Pewter City. Finally.

“I’m here to challenge the Pewter City Gym leader for a Boulder Badge.” I declare to the receptionist of the Pewter City Gym.
“She’s busy.” The receptionist replies, while filing her nails, “Today is her Shopping day, along with Monday’s, Wednesdays, Thursday’s and Fridays.”
“But today’s Tuesday.” I state bluntly.
“Wow, You know your days of the week.” She replies sarcastically, “Wanna cookie.”
“Listen Bitch, I don’t have time to play these f***in games. Get the gym leader the f*** over here or you’ll end up with me feedin you your eyes through your ass. Got that.” I demand threateningly.
She backs up scared and pulls out a shotgun.
“Shit.” I whisper, running out the door, barely avoiding being shot.

A few hours later…

“Damn she is fast.” I complain out of breath.
I lean back against an ally wall, “I almost thought she had me for a second there.” I take in another gulp of air.
“And she has a pretty good shot with that shotgun of hers.” Phobias states.
I glare at him, “NO SHIT!” I holler, waving my arms in anger.
Phobias teleports behind me.
“Kind of reminds me of being chased by the gangs and muggers back in Neo Saffron, huh?” Phobias asks.
I think about it for a second, “You know… You’re right.”
“I kind of miss Neo Saffron.” I state, “I didn’t have a care in the world, taking what I needed, Doing what I wanted, No one to tell me what to do, No one could stop me. I was unstoppable.”
“Those were the times.” Phobias sighs.
By now we are both sitting down in the ally retelling tales of our past.
“You know, We have so much in common, and that is why I think we work so well together.” Phobias states.
“What do you mean?” I ask.
“Well for starters, we both had horrible parents, before thy died, and a horrible life, And at a young age we had experienced more then anyone could imagine. I’ve been through so much, and I’m glad it was with you.”
“Thanks Phobias,” I return with a tear running down my cheek.
“This is the first time I have ever seen you cry, in my life.” Phobias exclaims.
“It’s the first time I’ve cried in too long.” I complain.
“Ben…” Phobias nudges me softly, “Lets go.”
I stare at him for a few minutes before a smile comes across my face.
“Yea, let’s go.”

A/N: um… yea. Not much here. I didn’t have anything to type, no motivation, but that will change, I just bought a new CD, and it isn’t metal, like slipknot, or hate breed, or slayer. It’s a punk band called Anti-Flag. They’re pretty good, I guess.  And this chapter I just used to get Phobias and Ben closer, and to separate Rachel and Ben, cause I don’t think the Rachel thing was working. Review me and tell me if you think I should have them meet up again
