Ok this is my first fan fic I'm submitting in 3rd person point of view. (I submit stories on Quizilla in 2nd POV and I've adjusted this one from that, so if it's not the best I'm sorry!) Well please rate and review! Oh not right now, but later this fic will probably become PG-13 for violence and mild language.

I don't own Pokemon or anything related, so this is the first and last time I'm gonna say that! Oh ages of the characters:

Kira- (belongs to me!) in prolog 9 but in the story 17

Ash- prolog 10/story 18

Tucker-(my character!)same as Kira (won't show up for a while in the actual story!)

Maria- (yup, I made her too!) prolog 10/story 18 (won't show up for a while in actual story!)

Whenever I introduce a different character, I'll add their ages.

~Prolog~ Professor Oak smiled at the girl as she happily took the first pick of Pokemon, since the kid that was supposed to pick first wasn't there. (She were the third oldest of the group of five kids that were setting out on their first Pokemon journey, but Oak's grandson said he would let everyone else go first and the other boy wasn't there.) "I want Charmander!" she said excitedly looking at the five Poke balls on the table. Oak smiled kindly at her and handed her the red Poke ball. (In this series, each Poke ball changes colors depending on the type of Pokemon inside.) Her twin (fraternal) brother stepped up next and picked Squirtle. The siblings each exchanged excited smiles, as her friend, Maria, picked Bulbasaur. Gary stepped up and picked the brown Poke ball containing Eevee. He smirked at his grandfather and said, "I guess Ash chickened out." No sooner had the words left his lips did the door behind them burst open and a boy with jet black hair wearing a Pokemon League hat, black shirt with a blue vest, and blue jeans walked in out of breath and panted, "I'm here Professor, please don't tell me all of the Pokemon are gone!" Professor Oak said, "Don't worry Ash; there is still one Pokemon left, though it can be a feisty first Pokemon." Professor Oak motioned to the remaining yellow Poke ball. Ash nervously walked up to the remaining Poke ball and called out the Pokemon within and a small yellow Pikachu came out looking rather annoyed. Upon seeing Ash the small electric rodent shocked its new trainer. She didn't get to watch the rest of this amusing scene because at that moment her brother and Maria dragged the girl outside Professor Oak's Lab. "This is it!" Maria squealed excitedly her black curly hair bobbing up and down with her. The girl nodded in agreement and her brother said, "At the Pokemon League I'll challenge both of you and win!" "No way, I'll totally wipe the floor with you," his twin replied to her one minute younger brother. "Is that a challenge sis?" he asked, his green eyes flashing. "Could be," she challenged back her green eyes flashing excitedly to match his. He called out his Squirtle and said, "Well let's settle this now, Kira." "You're on Tucker!" she agreed calling out her new Charmander, starting her very first Pokemon battle. But that was seven years ago, and at the current she was training along side her Charizard, so she didn't notice the Pidgy landing behind her. Nor did she notice the small envelope it carried in its beak, an envelope containing a very important letter. She didn't notice it, that is, until her golden Master's cloak turned her in that direction. ~End Prolog~

Her cloak turned her to face the small winged Pokemon and grabbed the white envelope from its beak. "Strange," Kira said to herself flipping the envelope over to see the Pokemon League symbol. She opened the envelope and began to read the letter inside:

Dear Kira,

Congratulations again on becoming a Dragon Pokemon Master. You shocked us when you became the youngest Pokemon Master at the age of 14, but even more so when you mastered a specific type of Pokemon at the age of 16. But on to more pressing matters, as you know you started a chain of Masters, after which Team Rocket gathered an arsenal of them and began the war we are now in. We, the Elite Four of the Pokemon League are gathering all remaining Masters, if you are not for us, you are against us, and we will stop you. We expect you to join us at the Indigo Plateau in four days time.

Sincerely,

Lance, Dragon Master/League Champion

Bruno, Fighting Champion

Koga, Poison Champion

Erica, Grass Champion

Steven, Steel Champion.

She groaned when she finished reading the letter and said to herself, "Don't give me much of a choice, now do ya?" Charizard looked at her, its green eyes concerned. "Don't worry Charizard, I would have helped them even if they hadn't threatened me, Team Rocket's war is pointless," she said stroking her Pokemon lovingly. Charizard growled lovingly back and she jumped on its back and said, "Let's go!"

Her golden cloak whipped behind her as Charizard flew through the air. She had pulled back her shoulder length, light brown/dark blonde hair out of her face so not to interfere with her sight. Charizard pulled up higher into the air and she couldn't help but giggle with laughter. "This is great!" she shouted to no one in particular. Charizard suddenly pulled out from under her and she was freefalling. "Haha!" she giggled. She weren't in the least bit scared, she'd done this a hundred times and trusted Charizard completely, and sure enough Charizard caught her after she'd fallen a good hundred feet. "That was great Charizard!" She suddenly stood up on Charizard's back like a surfer and laughed as Charizard attempted to throw her off balance while never actually going upside down. She could see the Indigo Plateau approaching on the horizon and the sun was beginning to set. She had Charizard land outside of Victory Road and she set up a make-shift camp, she had three more days after all. She rested lightly and woke up well before dawn. 'I do still have three days, and I haven't been to Pallet Town since I left there nearly 7 years ago.' She returned Charizard to its Poke ball since it was still tired and decided to walk to Pallet, as it was only a few hours walk from Victory Road. She grinned when she entered Viridian City seeing it hadn't been affected much by the war but stopped when she noticed something. On every building there was placed a large red R. 'Shit,' she thought recognizing the emblem of Team Rocket. If one of their members caught her, a Master, out here she'd be in great danger. She silently called her Dragonite out of its Poke ball and climbed on its back. It flapped its wings and began a silent flight out of the city and she were thankful that she managed to get past without being seen. 'Please don't let Team Rocket have gotten a hold of Pallet!' she thought worried and cursing herself for not having thought of flying home to keep Pallet safe from Team Rocket's war sooner. She landed just beyond the city limits of Pallet and called her Dragonite back to its Poke ball. She walked silently into the quiet town of Pallet, dawn's earliest rays just creeping over the horizon. She was relieved to see not a single R on any buildings. 'I guess someone has been protecting Pallet, must have been a strong Master to keep away Team Rocket,' she thought to herself. She suddenly heard a rustle behind her and she spun around to face whatever it was. She was in fighting stance looking around suspiciously for the source of the rustle. "Show yourself," she said to the crisp morning air. A tall figure walked out from behind a building. It was wearing a silver Master's cloak, one that represented being a general Master, one that had power over all types, but one. "Who are you?" she asked. The cloaked figure didn't respond but a small yellow Pikachu was perched on his shoulder and the figure moved closer to her. "Are you friend or foe?" the figure asked her in the voice of a, what sounded like, a young man. "It depends on who you are," she said narrowing her eyes at the tall Master. "I am the Master that defends this small town, and I wish to know if you are a member of Team Rocket or not Dragon Master," he said to Kira. "I would never be part of that foul Team Rocket, I decided to come visit my hometown before going to a meeting I have in three days," she said icily to the figure. "Ah, so you got a letter from the League as well," he said, sounding much warmer. "Yes, now who are you?" The figure didn't answer so she turned on her heel, ignoring the cloaked figure. The sun had managed to peek over the horizon by now and she was walking toward the hill that Oak's lab was on, but she could still feel the Master following her. She spun around and glared at him and said, "Can I help you?" She still hadn't seen his face because the hood of his cloak cast a shadow over it but she were growing annoyed at having the feeling she'd seen his Pikachu somewhere before. "Have we met before?" he asked the girl walking into step with her. "Possibly, but I wouldn't know as I've yet to see your face." He laughed when she said this and stopped. She stopped too. He pulled his hand up and pulled back the hood of his cloak to reveal a boy about her age with jet black hair, and honey brown eyes. His face was extremely handsome and she knew she'd seen him somewhere before. "I'm Ash Ketchum, this is my hometown too," he said extending a hand. She shook it and said, "I'm Kira. Ash, that sounds so familiar, AH!" She suddenly remembered the boy that had been late for his first day as a Pokemon trainer and received Pikachu as his first Pokemon because there weren’t any others left. "You were the boy that was late and had to get Pikachu as his first Pokemon!" Ash's face broke out in a grin and he said, "You were the pretty girl that got the Charmander!" She blushed when he called her pretty and then brushed it aside. "Well I'm going to visit Professor Oak, I haven't been back here since that day, so I am going to talk to Oak and maybe visit my mom, but I saw her a few months ago when I received my Dragon Master's badge and cloak." "Cool, but Professor Oak probably won't be up for several more hours," Ash said. She stopped and looked at Ash, and said, "And what do you suggest I do in the mean time?" "Don't know, I never really got to know you, though I met up with your brother Tucker a few years back and he talked a lot about you." She suppressed a shutter when Ash mentioned Tucker and turned her heel to glare at Ash for bringing up such a topic. "Do you even know what happened to Tucker?" Ash looked at her with a very confused expression. "Come on! Pallet is a small town and my mother and yours are friends you must have at least heard rumors!" Ash looked at her still confused and shrugged. She growled in frustration, how could a Master be so dense? "He became a Water Master and then joined Team Rocket, does that ring a bell?" "Oh," Ash said quietly. She rolled her eyes and began to storm to Oak's lab, if she had to she'd just sit outside and wait for him to wake up, she didn't want to stay and chat with someone who didn't have enough sense to pay attention to news about other people in his very own town, not that she were one to brag, but still, a boy she just met and already frustrating her wasn't promising conversation. But fortunately, or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, two people and a Meowth jumped out from behind a tree. There was a woman with long red hair wearing what looked like a messed up version of a Team Rocket uniform and a man with shoulder length purplish blue hair wearing a similar uniform. The woman began to speak, "To protect the world from devastation!" Then the man spoke, "To unite all peoples within our nation." "To denounce the evils of truth and love!" "To extent our reach to the stars above!" "Jessie!" "James!" "Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!" "Surrender now or prepare to fight!" At this the Meowth jumped out and said, "Meowth that's right!" The three stood in a dumb little pose. She rolled her eyes, the talking Meowth was a bit shocking but not too much so as the ability to understand Pokemon speech, but it was an interesting turn to have a Pokemon speak human. Ash, however, took this much more seriously and said, "What do you want Team Rocket?" "Well we're here to steal Pikachu of course! But we overheard you two talking and if this girl is also a Master then she will have some powerful Pokemon that our boss will love! So, hand them over!" Jessie said stubbornly. She scoffed at these three 'Team Rocket' members and said, "Pathetic, you two aren't even in proper uniform, your motto was incorrect and from the looks of it not only is your Meowth weak and malnutritioned, but the two of you look fairly weak as well. Not to mention that you all lack proper weapons to pose a threat to a beginner trainer, let alone a Master, wouldn't you hate to have to against two?" "And what makes you think you know so much about how Team Rocket operates Miss Master?" Jessie snapped at her angrily. "Simple, I've had so many run-ins with true members of Team Rocket to know that you three are totally off key," she replied. Jessie, James and Meowth looked totally offended at this comment and Jessie turned to Meowth and said, "Now Meowth!" Meowth suddenly pulled a remote control out of seemingly nowhere and pressed it, causing a net to also come out of nowhere and trap Kira, Ash, and Pikachu. "Pikapi! Pikachu? (Ash! Do you want me to shock them?)" Pikachu cried to its trainer. "Yeah Pikachu! Send 'em flyin'!" "NO!" Kira said at his obliviousness at the fact that the net was made with steel. But it was too late Pikachu used Thunder Bolt shocking Kira and Ash, causing her to glare at Ash. He put his hand behind his head in a nervous way and said, "Ehehe." She glared for a moment more before saying, "Amateur, Dragonite! Let's show them how to really fight!" She called her Pokemon outside of the net and Dragonite easily pulled the net up off of Ash and Kira and she turned to glare at the Rockets. "Dragonite, Hyper Beam," she said simply. Jessie, James, and Meowth were suddenly trembling where they stood and screamed, "Team Rocket's blasting off again!" When Dragonite's Hyper Beam hit them, causing them to fly through the air to who knows where.
