She looked down, "Mum, I don't want to go to your stupid little party!"

"Don't speak to me like that, young lady. Now, which one, the pink or the
silver."

"Neither."

"Oh, really, dear," her mother sighed, "Go find yourself something to
read."

"I don't like reading."

"Well go shopping," her mother said, not fully listening tho her daughter.

"I don't like shopping," she replied hotly.

"Well, just go and do something, alright. Get out of my hair for a while.
I've got
some very important shopping to do."

"Yeah, I'm sure," she whispered.

And with that, she slid off her seat and glided out the door of the posh
boutique
her mum was shopping in.

"There, that should do it!" he cried as he hammered his last piece
together
confidently.

"Now mate, don't be to sure. But I think you do need a rest. Go put ya
feet up,"
the man laughed.

"Thanks," he smiled.

He walked toward the newspaper that had been thrown carelessly askew. Its
contents sprawled over a hard, uncomfortable-looking chair. Never the less, he
picked up
the paper and sat in the chair, grateful for a rest. After long hours working,
his feet were
swollen, and he was in need of a good long rest. As he picked the newspaper up,
a small
ad caught his eye.

Misty Waterflower. Fifteen years, a bit shy, looking for a friend.
Please write to.

He scribbled down the address, then grabbed another piece of paper.

Hi, I'm Ash Ketchum. Sixteen years, athletic, wanting to be your
friend.

"Misty, hon, letter for you!" her mother called in her obnoxiously loud,
high
pitched voice, "Oooooh! I wonder who it is? New boyfriend, ehh?"

" No Mum," Misty sighed, exasperated.

"Hey, girls!"

"Like, what, Mum?" Daisy called.

"Yeah, Mum, what happened?" Violet wanted to know.

"Your little sis has a new boyfriend!" Mrs. Waterflower called.

"Like, totally?" the sisters squealed.

Misty just ran towards her bedroom, hopeful that she could get there
before the
end of her life-ahh, before her sisters did.

Once she was safely inside her bedroom and the door was locked, she looked
at
the letter, as if it were a forign object. Then, with shaking hands, she slit
the envelope
open and pulled the paper out. As soon as the letter was read, there was a young
girl
dancing around the room, red hair flying behind her. The whoops of joy echoing
through
the house.

"Like, little sis, are you OK in there?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ash, hi! I can't believe someone actually wrote to me! Wow!
Anyway, I'm just curious, but what made you want to write to me? I
guess I'm not really the sort of person people really like. Everybody
thinks I'm snobby, except my mum and sisters, who are snobby
themselves.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

*****************

Hi again. Can I call you Mist? It's just a prettier name- and easier to
write. It's shorter! ^_~

What made me want to write to you? I guess that I just wanted to do
something nice for a change.
*****************

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey! I don't mind Mist, infact, I hate Misty, so call me Sue, Joy or
Jenny, anything but Misty. You said you wanted to do something nice for
a change. What did you mean by that? And you said you were athletic.
What do you do? All I do is go to my mum's ditzy house parties.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

*****************
Mist. Hi. Well, my athletic, as in I do athletics. Your mum holds house
parties? I can't say that's my kinda scene. I guess I understand why you don't
like them. Sorry, I gotta go. They're making another sweep.

*****************

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ash, what do you mean by `sweep' and who are `they'.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

*****************
`They', Mist, are going to kill me.

*****************

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kill you? Ash, you gotta be kidding me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ash, you there?
~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ash, you're scaring me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~
C'mon, Ash! Don't do this to me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

>>>>>>>>>>>>
Dear Misty, I'm sorry about this, and even sorrier I have to say this.
My dear friend, and yours, I believe, was killed one week ago.

>>>>>>>>>>>>

Don't worry, I'll be writing a sequal soon. and one with the full letters. Oh
and just to
clear some things up,
MISTY WRITES LIKE THIS misty writes like this
ASH WRITES LIKE THIS ash writes like this
THE OTHER PERSON WITES LIKE THIS the other person
THE ~~~~~~~~~~~~ represents letters that Ash read
THE ***************** represents letters that Misty read from Ash
