Contact me at horselunatic@earthlink.net ! --Rapsidy All is fair in love and Rabid Sharks Ash looked out along the soft green grass that flooded the clearing with a sort of longing. Oh, if only I were a pokemon.... I could roll in that grass without a care in the world...I'd love that. he thought bitterly. His 16-year-old body raised from the stone that he'd been sitting on and he waded through the tall grass and reeds, his Pikachu close on his heels. He paused for a moment, deep in thought. He plopped down onto the ground, not noticing when Pikachu leaped into his lap and curled up there. He spoke softly to himself, head lowered and gaze inpenetrable. "What is love? Love... I've never known it. A mystery to me why girls are so obsessed with it." Ash raised a gloved hand and inspected it closely. "This hand... has never touched anyone intimately before... Am I missing something?" He shrugged the feeling off, but a cold spot in his chest suggested otherwise. He sighed and raised, barely catching the Pikachu that toppled from his lap with a surprised cry. After assuring himself that he was alright without love, he trotted to the campfire where Brock and Misty were having dinner. They both looked up in unison, waving animatedly at Ash. Ash waved back and then sat on the ground, starting to devour the stew that Brock had offered him. The thoughts of romance lingered in his mind, and he glanced over Misty with a new sort of look. He now noticed the curves in her body and the sleek muscles showing through her blouse. He raised his eyebrows, asking himself, Are you actually looking over Misty, Ash? Are you really that pitiful? He stifled a laugh and continued to watch her features. Misty noticed Ash's stare and felt her cheeks tingle. Trying not to let him know that she'd seen him, she continued to nibble on her stew. She cleaned her bowl and went to wash it in the stream. Pushing the reeds aside, she wondered about that stare. It was a new kind of look. Misty shivered. She bent down and began splashing water over the surface of the bowl. She didn't notice that Ash was examining the edge of her panties that showed over the rim of her shorts. Ash continued to stare until Brock hit him on the cheek with the heel of his palm. Rubbing his cheek, Ash glared at Brock. "What was that for?" Brock smirked. "I'm supposed to be the one who can't stop gawking at the girls." Ash flushed a deep scarlet, staring at his feet embarrassedly. His head snapped up as a shrill scream pierced his thoughts. He leaped from the ground and sprinted to the edge of the river. A startled gurgle escaped his throat as he watched Misty being pulled into the water. A dark shape lingered across the edge and then plunged under the surface, Misty's cries filtering up. Ash screamed and his muscles unlocked. He ran to the shoreline and began beating the dark shape with his fists. A gargantuoun eye broke the surface of the water and a gaping mouth lunged for him. The water turned red as dark curtains of blood whipped around. Brock was behind Ash now, and he shoved him out of the way just as the Sharpedo's jowls closed where he was a moment before. Misty's body was floating face down in the water. His vision blurred with tears, Ash scooped Misty's lifeless body from the river as the Sharpedo was struggling to push itself back into the depths of the water. Blood seeped onto Ash's arms in small rivulets as Misty lay limp across his lap. Brock rushed over as the monster surged back into the river, examining Misty thoroughly. He put his fingers lightly over Misty's wrist, feeling for a pulse. Brock's gaze raised from her body to Ash's face, and his head shook slowly. Ash gaped, rolling Misty onto the ground. He arched himself on top of her, and began pumping his breath into her mouth. With several delicate pressures, he alternated between pumping and breathing, pumping and breathing. Her eye spopping, Misty gasped a uge breath of air into her lungs. She fell back, a shattered soul. Ash clutched her to him, letting the tears flow freely. Without thinking, he leaned down and planted a tender kiss upon her lips. Blushing hotly, she stared up at him with surprise. Painfully, she reached her hands up to his cheeks and pulled him towards her once again. In a soft innocence, they plunged into a passionate kiss while Brock stared, dumbfounded. It was 1 year after the accident. The sharpedo had been caught and executed for having "pokemon rabies." Misty had been put in a chest brace, and had healed without scars. Two teeth had sunken into her ribs, and they now sat on a shelf in her and Ash's bedroom. Misty ran a palm down the large bulge in her belly, squeezing Ash's hand lightly. Ash ran his thumb along her cheek, grinning. "I may be young, but I know that I'm ready to have a family with you, Misty Waterflower." Misty smiled, running her index finger along the diamond ring that rested on her left hand. ushed over as the monster surged back into the river, examining Misty thoroughly.
