A/N Some things you should know: Ash does not have any pokemon with him but the abra he borrowed. Also I gave Misty a Dad just for the sake of the story. =D

---------------------------------

Misty looked out of the Gym's window. There wasn't much she could see in the night, but there was an obvious lot of commotion around Mount Moon. She decided to go take a look. On her way out she grabbed her coat and said bye to her sisters. She had barely left the gym when she saw something that caught her eye. At the end of an allyway there was an oscillating purple light. "What is that?" she asked herself, and walked over to get a closer look. The light flashed, and dissapeared. In its place a man and a pokemon materialized. He got up, dusted himself off, and looked around. "Great, right next to the gym. Just what I need." he said sarcasticly. He recalled the pokemon. Ash looked up and saw Misty. He stared at her for a long moment. "Damn" said the voice in his head.

---------------------------------

The attack was just beginning, and the Onix were already inside the mountain wreaking havoc. The base was in ruins, and it was only a matter of time before the whole mountain came down. Inside the safehouse morale was down. "Okay men were getting outa here. Pick an Abra. Rendezvous in Vermillion." vitale said. Everyone picked a pokeball and called out the Abra's inside. Nothing happened. The pokeballs were empty.

---------------------------------

"Do you make a habit of spying on people?" Ash asked her. She jumped. She didn't know that he had seen her yet. "Oh, sorry, I saw the light and came to investigate." she said. "Hey, do I know you?" Ash looked down. "No I don't think so. Could you tell me where the Pokemon center is?" he said. "Its down that street." Misty said. "But its closed right now." "What? Why?" he asked, puzzled. "There was an accident. A truck slammed into it a few days ago." she told him. Ash started thinking. Damn now what. "Do you have a phone?" he asked. "Yeah, come-on in" she told him. He followed her in. I'm cutting it a little too close arent I...

Ash took his radio out of his pocket and connected it to the phone. He used the phone to boost the radio's range, and contacted Vitale. "Sir whats going on, are you out of there yet?" he asked. "No Ash, I don't think we are ever going to get out of here. Someone sabotaged the emergancy Abras." he said. "What! Sir, that means your stuck there!" Ash said, alarmed. "Yeah I know." the general replied. "Look Ash," Ash cringed, Misty was looking at him now. "You need to get out of Cerulean. That William guys pretty pissed off now, he just sent a message saying that if he doesn't get the data, hes going to level Cerulean." "Sir, is it really that valueable? If hes that crazy, lets just give it to him. Lance and them can be moved." Ash said. "Ash, its not just that. Theres info on that disk your carrying that could end Kanto if it got into the wrong hands. Keep it safe. Get out of Cerulean." There was a roar and the transmission cut off.

Ash turned to Misty. "Get everyone out of the gym and go to town hall. Quickly." he said. "Did he just call you Ash?" she asked. "No time for that now, we need to hurry." and with that Ash ran outside and headed toward town hall.

---------------------------------

Dawn was approaching. Ash ran down the street, he had to get to city hall and sound the alarms. If he didn't, innocent civilians could be slaughtered. THere was a car parked by a house. Without thinking he broke the window, got inside, and hotwired it. The owner came out looking really pissed as he sped off. Soon afterwards a police car came hot on his tail. Not having time to stop, he sped on, turning left here, right there, until city hall was in site. He drove the car straight up the front steps, swerved the car left, and jumped out into the building. Just as he was about to get in the elevator, a security guard tackled him. "I got him right here officer!" the guard yelled. "Thanks, we'll take him from here." the officer replied. "Sir, you don't know what your doing!" Ash cried out in alarm. "Yeah I do, I'm arresting a car theif." said the officer. "No, you don't understand, If I don't get upstairs innocent people will die." Ash said, being handcuffed. "And how do you figure that." replied the officer. "Hes telling the truth." The officer turned around. Misty was at the doorway, with her sisters. "Let him go upstairs, or worse things will happen than a car theft." she said. "Misty, are you sure?" the officer asked. "Yes Dad." she replied. The officer un-cuffed Ash. Ash looked back at Misty. "Thanks." and with that he ran upstairs. He barged into the mayors office. "Sir, this is an emergency. Sound the alarms." Ash told him. "But why? Who are you?" the mayor asked. "No time for questions. I'm with the army. You need to sound the alarms and get everyone out of this city!" Ash said hurriedly. "Well why didn't you say you were with the army! Follow me." the mayor said. They ran down the hall into another room. The mayor took a key out of his pocket and put it in a computer console. He turned it, and evacuation alarms sounded all over the city.
