A Time of Peace Part 1

	As Ash and Misty walked toward the harbor to watch the sunset Ash couldn’t conquer his 
fear. Finally he said bluntly “I love you.” Misty taken aback was silent for a moment.
After a minute she replied “I love you too.” As the two walked back to the Poke Center,
Nurse Joy approached them.
	“I’ve got a Pikachu that needs a home. Will you take it?” she asked.
	“Of course,” Misty replied without hesitation.
	“Uh, Misty? Don’t you like only raise water pokemon?” Ash asked tentatively.
	“Things can change Ash,” she answered. When the two entered their room things got out 
of hand fast.

	The next morning Misty was going to train her new Pikachu when she found a strange 
egg. She showed it to Ash who thought it might be a pokemon egg. It was at this time that an 
announcement came over the speakers.
	“Attention all trainers must report to the nearest clinic for a physical exam. That is all.”
	“Well see you later Ash,” Misty said once they reached the clinic. While he was waiting 
Ash got a call from his mom saying Pallet Town was building a gym and they wanted Ash to be 
the leader. He accepted and promised to tell Misty later. While Misty had her exam she found 
out she was pregnant. Horrified as she was, she immediately told Ash who was stunned silent.
	“Well,” he said finally “I’m the new Pallet Town gym leader so I have a job at least.”
	“That’s great!” she exclaimed. Later that day they flew to Pallet town and told Ash’s 
mom who agreed to help in any way possible. Ash fearfully excited and Misty was extremely 
nervous but now they just have to wait nine months?
