I’m back, I don’t own any of these characters, I hope I’m not boring you. Just to let you in on a little secret, whenever the narrator gets "goofy" or something, more than likely, I ran into a writers block. That and the fact that I'm practically goofy anyway. Oh well. (Thinking for a moment/remembering something) Oh, and another reminder, this WHOLE fic is rated PG-13. Okay well here’s part 11.

Misty/Todd: 14
Kenji/Jen: 17

Part 11: The Truth About Lost Kage Island!

RP: Poor Kenji. Dumb jerks. I wonder if the guys are going to tell Ash, Misty, and Todd what’s going on with all the attacks that’s been occurring lately…

Brock: You’re supposed to recap what happened in the previous chapter, not wonder and give your opinion.

RP: SAYS WHO! YOU’RE JUST AS BAD AS ASH! I CAN SAY AND DO WHATEVER I WANT!

Brock: It doesn’t matter who you are! The Brock says that Relaxing Pikachu is slacking off!

RP: And RP here says that "The Brock" needs to shut up before I lay the smack down on you with a fist to the face! (To herself) Not that I would actually do it. (Sighing/holding her head) Brock is starting to give me a headache with his complaining.

Brock: Well, the Brock says…

Pikachu: (Giving Brock a thunder shock) :SHUT UP, YOU’RE GIVING ME A HEADACHE!:

RP: Thank you Pikachu. I’m glad someone shut him up. That’s what I get for being nice to him.

Brock: (Coughing up smoke) Sorry.

Ash Title: The Truth about Lost Kage Island!

"Attacked?  What do you mean attacked?" Misty asked in alarm.

"Are you saying that someone tried to rob you guys?" Todd wanted to know.

Brock nodded sadly.
RP: (Snickers) He was nodding sadly from the pain mostly.

Brock: RP, I…(decides to ignored her).

RP: (Sticks out tongue) I guess he didn’t feel like being hurt any more than he has already.

The three, in turns, explained all that happened, Misty clasping her hands over her mouth.  She couldn't imagine such a thing happening.  Todd stared somberly from Brock, to Joya, to Jen, feeling terribly sorry for them.  Duplica felt quite sympathetic towards them, and sat down next to Jen, patting her on the shoulder.

"He was so brave; he tried to protect me," Jen sniffled.

Ash, over this news, looked to be disappointed, rounding on the Rock Pokémon trainer.  "Why didn't you do anything, Brock!"

"I tried, but they were pretty big;" he admitted bitterly in regret, "besides, it all happened so fast, and I didn't think that Kenji of all people would try to fight.  I personally can't see Kenji as a fighter and as the type who would walk away or, no offense to him, more like the punching bag.

"He's always trying to calm others down, or either reasoning with them, sort of like me, but he's not the type to physically fight.  He's the type that would fight mentally."

Joya nodded slowly, staring up at Ash, who was still standing along with Todd and Misty.  "I also got the same impression when I first met him.  He seems like the type that everyone likes and never get angry with, or end up in a conflict with.  He struck me as the type that everyone gets along with."

Jen stood up, muttering incoherently, still a bit steamed over their current situation and her fists firmly bawled.  "If I could only get my hands on those three bastards!" she shouted out in frustration.  A warm, red liquid began to leak through her tightly clenched fists, her nails digging into the palms of her hands.  Because of her immense anger, and the firmness of how tightly clenched her fists were, she had cut herself, and was now bleeding.  Joya stood, walking over to comfort her friend.

"We know what they look like," she told her gently, taking out a piece of cloth from her pocket, ripping it in two.  "Maybe we can call the police on them."  She tied each cloth around each hand, to help stop the bleeding.

"You'll have to call the cops to keep me away from them!" Jen snapped.  She sighed, calming down slightly, ignoring the stinging she felt in her hands.  "Well, at least he's okay now and resting up.  Thanks for helping him, Joya-chan."

She smiled.  "You're welcome.  He's mainly out because of exhaustion from the fight, which drained him of his energy, somewhat.  That is why he passed out when that stun gun was used, but I would feel the same way you do now, Jen-chan, if it had happened to any of my friends, even ones I just met.  I actually do feel badly for what happened to Kenji-san."

"I know this is going to sound dumb, a little," Jen looked at the others feeling a bit anxious, her cheeks going a slight shade of pink, "but I feel as if I know him."

"What do you mean?" Todd asked.

"Well," she hesitated, trying to find the right words, "there's just something about him, like we're connected somehow."

Misty went into theory mode, her eyes shining.  "Maybe you did know Kenji at some point!  Maybe you met in a past life!  Or maybe in a parallel life, or maybe a---"

"What's with that psychic stuff, Misty?" Ash interrupted.  "You watch too many anime shows that talk about that kind of stuff."

Misty sweat dropped.  "Maybe you're right.
RP: (To herself) Hmm, I wonder if Misty could be partially right about the past life thing…

Laura's room…

Kenji's eyes began to flutter.  He groaned, his eyes opening.  'Where am I; what's going on?'

He looked over to his right, to see a chair by the bed, which sat his bag, his clothes, and even his infamous red headband.  He tried to take in his surroundings, and make sense of what was going on.  'How did I get here?'  He rubbed his head, which was aching slightly, as he sat up.  When he sat up, he felt an intense pain in his stomach, which caused him to wince.

The boy noticed that he was in his pajamas, and lifted up his pajama shirt, to see that he was wearing dressings on his side and his stomach.  He managed to get out of the bed, wondering how he had gotten into his pajamas, why he was in so much pain, and why his legs felt so weak.  Had he have been knocked out for a long time?  He ran his hand through his now, messy hair trying to recall the past events, but it was quite fuzzy.

Noticing there were a pair of slippers by the bed, he stepped into them, and staggered to the bedroom door, exiting the room…

"I hope Kenji wakes up soon," Ash said, now sitting.  "I want to know for sure if he's okay or not."

"You're not the only one," Duplica sighed, staring over at Jen, who was remaining quiet.

"What happened?" everyone heard a voice from behind them all ask.

Everyone turned to where the voice had come from, and stood at once.  "Kenji!!"

The boy walked a bit more into the room, standing beside the couch.  "What's going on?"

"I'm so glad you're all right!" Jen cried.

She ran up to the boy, giving him the biggest kiss he had ever gotten in his entire life.  This was one impressionable first kiss from the girl.  Kenji lost his balance since Jen had practically jumped him, which caused him to fall over - in slight pain - onto the couch with Jen on top of him, in a very suggestive position, not showing any signs of letting up on her kiss.

The others sweat dropped nervously from the scene.  Ash replied, quite seriously, "Get a room, you two!"

Everyone, minus Jen and Kenji, looked over at Ash unusually for the statement he had just made.
RP: I think they’re surprised because it was Ash who made the statement. Mr. Only has Pokémon on the brain, made the statement. Surprising…
x x x x x x x x x x
Misty felt quite embarrassed, and whacked Ash in the back of his head with her hand.  "Ash," she hissed, "they just met each other!  Don't think like that."

Ash rubbed the spot, in which Misty had hit him.  "Well, they ought to get a room.  Where are we all going to sit?  They're on the couch."

Misty sighed, quite exasperated.  "I can't believe you…"

Jen finally broke her kiss, leaving Kenji dazed, totally forgetting about the pain he was in.  He still wondered, though, what had happened, and why the very nice kiss.

She blushed scarlet, as she noticed how she looked.  "Gomen, Kenji-kun; I'm just so glad to see that you're all right."

He laughed a bit, feeling a bit awkward.  "I-I can see that."  Jen got off of him, and extended her hand to the Pokémon Watcher, helping him to sit up.  "I was trying to figure out what was going on.  The last thing I remember, were these three guys attacking us, and then everything going black."

"You were awesome!" Brock complimented, getting into various fighting stances and punching the air.  "It was really cool!"  He stopped, going back to that serious demeanor that he was most noted for.  "You tried to take one of them head on, but he beat you pretty badly, while the other one put a stun gun to you, knocking you right out."

"I don't know why I did that; I don't usually fight," he admitted, but then his voice grew quiet, and hushed, "I don't even know how."

Joya placed a hand on his shoulder.  "That's all right."

"I've never been in a fight my entire life.  I usually try to reason with the person or either walk away to avoid further conflict."

Jen smiled gently to the boy.  "That's a real good sign of maturity."

"Yeah, Jen-chan is right.  You're very mature.  Some people give in to all that negative stuff, and fight.  Fighting is never the answer, anyway, and should be only used in self-defense."

He smiled to the girls, feeling quite grateful.  They obviously didn't think lowly of him, and both sounded honest and truthful with their words.  "That's the way I feel, and I'm sure Brock does too."  Brock nodded, clapping Kenji on the back.  "I never believed in fighting, unless it's really necessary, which has never happened with me, obviously."

After those words, Kenji took notice of the younger teens' clothes.  Brock and the others now had too.

"Where did you guys go?" Brock asked.

"You girls look very nice," Kenji complimented with a small smile.

"You guys look nice too," Jen added.

"Where did you get the clothes?"

Ash sat down next to Brock and Kenji.  "Misty and Duplica wanted a fancy dinner at a restaurant where you can't read or pronounce what's on the menu."  He then whispered to the two, "You know we couldn't say no, especially with Misty's type of persuasion."

The redhead bonked Ash with her hand in the back of the head.  The boy was quite used to this, as it didn't even really hurt anymore.  "I heard that!"

"Hey!" the boy protested.  "I'm just telling the truth!"

"I'll truth you!" Misty threatened, taking out a fan, swinging it at the boy.
Ash: (Holding his head) HEY! (Thinking for a moment) That's a Jessie-sized fan! Only James and Meowth are supposed to get hit with them!

Misty: Last fic, she gave it to me! She has a whole collection of them!

Ash: I don't remember RP doing that!

RP: (Whistling)

Misty: She just made it up just this second.

Ash: (Annoyed) Oh, no fair!

RP: (Snickers) Sorry, Ash.

"I can see why they didn't refuse," Kenji whispered to Brock, staring over at Ash, a lump on his head.

"Yeah.  Actually, they couldn't refuse with Misty's temper."

Misty overheard Brock and Kenji, slamming Brock with her mallet.

"Hey, what about Kenji!" Brock argued in pain, tears streaming down his tan face.  "He made the statement, I just agreed with him!"

After hearing this, the Pokémon Artist grew quite scared, obviously not wanting to get hit.  "Um, let's not get too hasty now."  He gave off a nervous chuckle.

"You want to know why?"  Brock nodded.  "Okay, fine!"

The girl pulled out a contract from her purse, as well as a pair of glasses that resembled the Elite Four member, who of which specialized in Ice Pokémon, Lorelei's.
RP: Cool, my glasses resemble hers too!
Misty cleared her throat.  "It clearly states here that I am only allowed to hit Takeshi (Brock), Satoshi (Ash), or any other character that I do not travel with that I may find annoying at some point or another.  Kenji has never annoyed me in this fic, nor has he ever for the other one he was in.  If this were following the anime series, then I would have authorization to hit him, although, I choose not to, and the same goes for Toru (Todd).  He has also never annoyed me to the point of unnecessary violence."  Misty took off the glasses and put away the contract.

Everyone had confused looks - minus Todd - and asked, "Say what?"

"Did that make sense to you?" Ash asked Brock with a sweat drop.

The older male shook his head.  "No way."
Todd: RP, does this mean that you want neither me nor Kenji to getting hit?

RP: You got it!

Brock: NO FAIR, IT'S A FAVORTISM THING! KENJI IS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE MAIN CHARACTERS AND TODD IS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE NON MAIN CHARACTERS!

RP: No it's not; it just so easy to have you hit. (Laughs to herself)

Ash: What about me!

RP: Same thing.

Ash/Brock: Aww man! Todd and Kenji are lucky!

Kenji/Todd: (Relieved sigh) Thank goodness.

"If you're wondering, we got these outfits from home."

"Where?" Ash asked, puzzled.

"The House of Imité, silly," Misty told him with a laugh.

"How," the boys asked.

"Misty and I just teleported there."

"But all you guys have is a Ditto," Brock pointed out, "and the only Psychic Pokémon Misty has is Togepi, and he still hasn't mastered teleporting yet.  As for Misty's Psyduck, as far as I know, it's never learned the move teleport."

Duplica went through her purse, and took out her Pokéball, which contained Ditto.  "Come on out, pal!"  The Ditto emerged, and sat on the floor, awaiting its instructions.  "Okay, Ditto, we're going to travel again.  Do you think you're up to it?"

"Ditto!" it called happily.

"Great.  Okay then, Ditto, transform!"  The Ditto transformed into Kadabra.  "Hey Ash, Camera Boy, where would either of you like to go?"

"I know where I'd want to go," Brock randomly stated, going into cute girl mode.
RP: Everyone ignored Brock’s comment. We don’t know if he’s thinking about Joya or something else and frankly, I don't want to know.
After Brock's unnecessary - not to mention irrelevant - comment, Ash began to get this, well for him, different thought.  An idea came to mind dealing with both him and Misty, but he felt it was better not to mention it, or else everyone would really hit him for making such a statement.  A peculiar smile spread across his face from his current thoughts.

"Ash?"

Startled, he shook his head.  "What?  Um, I don't know, Duplica."

"It looked like Ash was in deep thought, which is a surprise to me.  Ash never thinks!"

Ash shot Brock an annoyed look.

"Ash, what were you thinking about?" Misty asked him.

"Nothing, nothing, my one and only true love…"
RP: (My Only Love starts to play) Ahh, a Sailor Moon song that I absolutely love!  I shall sing along! (Notices that everyone is looking strangely because RP doesn't have the greatest singing voice in the world) Okay okay, I'll stop and leave it to the professionals and stop torturing everyone with my singing. (Sighs)
Kenji arched an eyebrow, looking over at Ash in slight stupidity.  "'One and only true love'?"

"Are you feeling okay?"

"Of course I am, Brock."  He did his victory pose.  "I've never felt better!"

"Come on Ash, tell me!" Misty was curious.

"I dunno." He scratched the back of his head.  "It's kind of private."

"Come on, give!  You can tell me anything."

"Okay, if you really want to know…"

He whispered what he was thinking into her ear. Misty’s face turned a little red from Ash’s statement, but she wasn’t angry, more so surprised.  She then playfully hit him.

"I don't believe you.  Rushing things, aren't we?  Maybe in the future.  Remember what I said earlier to my sisters."

"Maybe I remember, maybe I don't," Ash teased.  "It's only a memory away…"
RP: Yahoo!

Ash: (Alarmed) What, what!

RP: Another excuse to toss in another one of my favorite Sailor Moon songs! All of a sudden "Only a Memory Away" starts to play!

Everyone sweat drops from RP's obsession with Sailor Moon stuff in general.
"Does your mind need a little refresher?"

"I was hoping for that."  Misty gave him a kiss.  "That's the refresher I was looking for."  He pulled Misty close to him, and gave her a deep, passionate kiss.

Todd rolled his eyes and sighed.  "Oh brother."
RP: (Sweat drops) I'm with Todd on that.  This story didn't have enough of the mush yet, so I had to randomly toss it in someplace....

"What did Ash say?" Duplica asked inquisitively.

Both broke from their kiss, growing defensive.  "None of your business!  It's our secret!"

Duplica sweat dropped from the two's outburst.  "Never mind.  How about you, Camera Boy?  Where would you like to go for the time being?"

He shrugged.  "I don't know, how about another country?"

"Okay, how about France?"

"Okay.  Grab my hand."  Todd slowly went for the girl's slender hand, his heart beating like it had earlier when he danced with her.  He actually enjoyed this, and so did Duplica.  "Okay, now teleport us to---"

"Wait!" Brock protested.  "How do we know you're actually going to Paris?"

"Snap, why don't you just take your camera," Duplica suggested, his grip on her hand still tight.  "You can take a couple of photos."

"Good idea."  He let go of her, almost regrettably, and rushed off to get his camera.  He returned a few moments later with it.  "Okay, let's go."

They resumed to the hand-holding, while Kababra teleported them to Paris.  A few moments later, the two returned, Kadabra going back to Ditto.

"Wow," Todd blinked, looking through the couple of shots he got on his Digital Camera.  "We were right in front of the Eiffel Tower!"

"Yep.  Since we've been there before, whenever I decide to teleport to Paris, I have Ditto remember the Eiffel Tower as a reference point."

For the short time they were there, Todd took a photo of the famous steel relic, and took a photo of a nearby café.  Everyone stared at the authentic photos.

"How can Ditto use teleport that well?" Brock asked, quite impressed with Ditto's ability.

"Thanks to Team Rocket, Ditto can transform into the ultimate.  It can do the attacks of other Pokémon also, including ones like Teleport or Psybeam or any other attack or move you can think of for any type of Pokémon.  It used to be that Ditto could only copy basic attacks, meaning mainly only the attacks of water, grass, electric, rock, and fire type Pokémon, but now it can transform into Psychic types as well as copying their moves."

After the explanation, and the others' praise of Ditto, Brock explained about all that was happening on the island.

"So that's why it just started snowing all of a sudden, but I don't think that's possible," Ash stated quite seriously, shaking his head, "unless you believe in Fairy Tales.  Maybe it's because of El Nińo, or is that La Nińa?"

Jen sweat dropped, and ignored the trainer.  "Like we were saying earlier, this place is enchanted.  The mood of Duplica's uncle depends on what the weather is going to be like."

"And Duplica is immune to these so-called attacks?"

Duplica nodded to Misty.  "That's why I've been visiting so much lately, trying to help figure this entire thing out."

"Well, it's getting a bit late," Brock told them.  "Maybe we should rest up for tomorrow."

"Yeah, and I need to go battle for the Shadow Badge!"

Jen's eyes went wide at the boy's words.  "Nobody wins the Kage Badge!  It's impossible to win!  You need rare Pokémon in order to have a chance at winning!" she warned.

"That's what Joya-neesan said," Ash muttered, his arms crossed.  He wasn't in the mood to be discouraged from even considering going to the gym for a battle.

"The rare Pokémon here are very difficult to capture, and to be honest, the Pokémon that's been seen around here lately just seemed to show up suddenly.  The only ones who have them, to my knowledge, are the gym leaders," Jen continued on.  "The gym leaders there won't share their secret as to how they managed to get them.  I don't even know what they're like since no one's ever seen them up close.  There are two gym leaders, by the way, I think, and a couple of guys with them that work there."

"There are two of them?" Joya asked.

"Yeah, there are two of them, two girls.  That's all I know, and that two guys work there.  I guess they're assistants to them, but I am pretty sure that the two girls are young.  One of them looks like he could maybe be the age of the two girls, while the other one is shrouded in mystery."

"That means I'll have to catch all the Pocket Monsters that I can!" Ash said, his fist bawled in determination.

Misty sighed, rolling her eyes.  "Oh brother…"

"I have no choice.  I will become a Pokémon Master!"
RP: I know everyone is sick of me, but I have to put in another song. (To herself) Hmm, actually two songs I could use here, but which one? I know! (To
Ash) Thanks Satoshi-kun for reminding me. I simply love the song that I have in mind.

All: ASH!!

Ash: (Sheepishly) Gomen nasai.

Misty: Not another song!

All of a sudden, Mezase Pokémon Masutaa plays and RP sings it no matter what everyone else thinks of her singing. It’s one of her favorite Pocket Monster
songs. Her other choice was 2BA Master, but, this is much better!

Ash: Hey, this is a good song! Your singing isn’t all that great, RP, but this song is cool. Thanks for playing it RP. It really suits me and the song itself shows how
determined I am to become the world's best Pokémon trainer!

Misty: I don’t like the fact that you’d go through fire, go through water, go through grass, and go through forests, Just to catch 'em all! That’s dangerous, but I
REALLY don’t appreciate you going through fog and through dirt, AND EVEN UNDER A GIRL’S SKIRT, if it means you’ll catch 'em all! A GIRL’S SKIRT!
SAO-CHAN!

Ash: (Laughs nervously) Kasumi, it doesn’t mean anything. I will never go under a girl’s skirt to catch Pokémon, unless it…

RP: (Nervous/sweat drop) My mind is in a terrible state as of the moment so I will not let Ash finish that sentence. Hmm, he's acting more like the
manga Ash than the anime one. As a matter of fact, I like manga Ash better. lol

"I want to visit my uncle, is it okay?"

"But it's after ten."

"Yeah, Jen-chan is right.  It's a bit late for a 13-year-old girl to be out wandering around by her self."

"Don't you know that robbers and thugs could come after you!"

"I can take care of myself!" Duplica insisted indignantly.  "Besides, I have Ditto with me!"  The pink Pokémon jumped in place in agreement.

"No," Jen told the younger girl firmly, "your cousin wants us to keep a close eye on you.  Until she gets back, we're responsible for you."

"Says who!"

"Says us!" Jen and Joya shouted at the girl, hovering over her, their heads ten times its normal size.

Duplica cowered some in fear.  "Aww man."

Ash, a bit fearful for Duplica, shook. "They're sc-scary…"

"I can go with her."

Jen sweat dropped, and held her head.  "You're not helping, Kasumi."

"Well," Misty began, a bit timidly, "she wants to go see her uncle, and it's like her family runs everything here anyway."

"Jen-chan, do you think we should let her go?"

Jen sighed, pushing some of her long hair behind her ear.  "I don't know.  What would her cousin say?"

"Not sure, but Duplica is the safest person here, when you get right down to it.  No Psychic Pokémon ever attacks her."

"I don't---"

"I can go with Duplica," Todd cut in, "to make sure nothing happens to her!"

"Yeah, Snap can come along with me!  Please, I would love for them to meet my uncle!"

"But what about robbers!  Look at what happened to us tonight and what happened to Kenji-kun!" Jen argued.

"Maybe you guys should let them go," Kenji spoke up gently.

"But---"

"Misty, Todd, Duplica, and, er, um, those three are mature and pretty responsible, and Misty knows how to protect herself…"

"Hey, what about me!?"

"Brock, what do you think?  Do you think Joya and I should let them go?"

"I don't feel that they'd get into too much trouble, honestly.  Like Kenji said, Misty, Todd, and Duplica are responsible…"

"Okay, you can go," Jen finally gave in.  Joya nodded, making it unanimous.

"Thanks, guys!" Duplica cheered.

"What about me!" Ash demanded once again.

Misty, Todd, and Duplica sweat dropped at the boy.

"Yeah, sure Ash," Todd answered sarcastically.  "Let's go now."

Ash looked about ready to knock Todd out.  "Why I oughta…"

"Ash don't start!" Misty snapped at the trainer.  "You'd lose anyway."

'With the way he gets angry, I'm not too sure,' Todd thought, observing the boy.

Duplica led the way while Misty told the others to keep a close eye on Togepi, and Ash told the others to inform Pikachu where he was if he asked.

"I still don't like the fact they're going," Jen frowned after they left.

Joya patted her on the back, consolingly.  "I'm feeling a bit okay about it since she has three friends with her:  two old ones, and a brand new one."

"I'm sure they'll be okay.  Ash and Misty have been in worse situations, life and death ones."

"I can vouch for Kenji on that one, since I was with the two for most of them!"

Joya decided to go into the kitchen to fix some tea until the younger teens returned or called, while Jen joined her, only to file a police report through her cousin on the three robbers first. That gave Kenji the chance to talk with Brock…

RP: (Sighs at the inevitable writer's block) I’m trying to be nice to Brock, although he insulted me earlier.

Brock: I’m sorry RP. (Taking out a bouquet of roses from out of nowhere along with a box of chocolates) Do you forgive me?

Kenji: (Accepting the chocolates/eating a couple of them) I sure do, Brock, for not helping me fight those thugs and letting me get beat up.

Brock: NOT YOU!

RP: (Sarcastic tone) Um, yeah, I forgive you Brock. (Looking over at Kenji) Strange Kenji. Hey, can I have some?

Kenji: Sure, RP. You’ve treated me nice in this fic so far and have a pretty girl interested in me! (Hands her the box of chocolates)

RP: You are definitely welcome. Ooh, peanut butter, my favorite!

Brock: What about me! You haven't forgiven me! You said that with sarcasm.

RP: I'll forgive you, if you get James to deliver a bouquet of roses to me. He's just so adorable, nice, cute, caring, charming, sweet, handsome, pleasant, admirable, favorable, enjoyable, friendly, amusing, cheerful...

Brock/Kenji: Okay, okay, we get the picture!

RP: (Streaked tears) I wasn't finished!

Brock sighs and gets up. When he comes back, he is dragging James back with him, who is holding a rice ball and a can of lemonade, with his mouth full.

RP: What else is new with James? He's always eating.

Brock: (Shoving the roses in James's face) Deliver these to RP.

James: (Full mouth) But...I'm...eating.

Brock: Well, STOP eating and deliver these to her!

James: (Swallowing) Huh?

Brock: Just give these roses to RP.

James: Oh...okay. Um...why?

Brock: JUST DO IT!

James: (Getting scared of Brock) Okay, okay.

Brock: (To Kenji) At least THIS'LL kill me some headache time and cash on aspirin.

James gives RP the bouquet of roses.

RP: Thank you James. You're such a gentleman.

James: I always try my best.

Jessie walks in.

Jessie: Okay, okay! Come on James! You've been here long enough.

James: But Jessie, I'm being acknowledged and appreciated.

Jessie: Let's go! You belong to me, not RP!

RP: Don't worry about that, Jessie. I don't want him; I just think he's very cute and charming.

Jessie drags James off.

James: (While being dragged off) I'm a star in the eyes of RP!

RP: Yep!

Brock: (Sweat drops) Oh brother.

"Brock, I have a question."

"Yeah, what is it?"

"How did I get in my pajamas?"

Brock suddenly took an interest in the window on the other side of the room.  "Isn't it nice outside?"

"Brock!"

"Well, if you must know," he lowered his voice to the point, where barely anyone could hear him, "jen-san and joya-san dressed you."

"I'm sorry, I didn't catch what you said."

"Is it really that necessary or important as to how you got into your pajamas?"

"I guess not.  Why do I have this feeling that I wouldn't want to know?"

"Because you guessed right."

"Well, I'm not going to ignore this until you answer me.  Did someone dress me?"

"Erm, well, yeah, you could say that…"

"Well?"

"Okay, it was," his voice seemed to lose all sound, "jen-san, joya-san."

"You're talking low again."

"It was Jen-san, happy now!"

"What?  Why her?  I mean, what if I, er, um…"

"I had a feeling you'd react like that, but don't worry."

"What do you mean 'don't worry'?  This just isn't, well, right! It's embarrassing!"

"Yeah, you're right.  Joya-san shouldn't have been there," Brock uttered casually, trying not to smirk at the way Kenji was acting.

Kenji rested his head in the palm of his hands.  "Why was it her…"

"Well, Joya-san knew what she was doing.  She didn't want you to get hurt or any of that medical stuff I forgot about, but that's a good question about Jen-san.  She didn't say.  She just…volunteered." Brock's lip was trembling; he was trying very hard not to smile or break into laughter.  "I don't know why you're upset.  It's not like she did anything, and you would know, if that were the case."

This caused Kenji to blush a deep crimson red from embarrassment and felt it was best to get off of the subject and to talk about something a bit more serious.  "Hey…I kinda have this strange feeling I've never felt before."

"I guess a kiss like that could do that to you, and with the way you were laying too.  I thought you've had a girlfriend before, and you're telling me she's never made you feel like that?  Now that's disturbing."

Kenji sweat dropped from what Brock was thinking.  He then gave him a look meaning, "No, not that!"

"So, what kind of a feeling?"

"I know it's going to sound strange, but I have this feeling that Jen and I are connected somehow."

Brock smirked once more, his mind perverted once again.  "You two sure were connected.  Are you sure what you were feeling was only in your mind and not a physical thing?"

"Will you stop that!" Kenji snapped at him irritably.  "Besides, that's none of your business if it was!"

"Sorry, sorry," the breeder apologized hastily.  "You've been a bit short-patient with everyone lately."

"I'm sorry."

"It's just weird, both you and Ash have been acting a bit differently."

"How so?"

"You've been a bit short-patient, and Ash, well, has been acting just…differently.  Even Todd's been acting unlike himself.  He's been making quite a few smart remarks as of late.  It also seems that the simplest things annoy him now," he placed his hand on his chin, "especially when it comes to Ash, which is really unlike him."

"I honestly don't know why I've been paranoid with everyone lately either.  I just have this uneasy feeling that something is going to happen dealing with me and with Jen-san.  I also have this feeling that she and I are meant to be together, like it's our destiny or fate.  But how can you feel that way about a person you just met?  That's what's bothering me, because it's a bit unrealistic."

"Whoa, she said something like that.  She feels the same exact way as you."

"Really?"

"Yes," Brock nodded; a pondering look about his face.  "She feels the exact same way as you do, and even said so when waiting for you to wake up.  The whole fate and destiny thing, to some extent."  Brock's serious manner, than went back to his somewhat perverted type.  "I still say you were lying about what you were really feeling," he snickered.  "It's a good thing that you wear your shirts un-tucked and a bit long, just like your pajamas, which are baggy, so no one would notice if you were---"

"BROCK!"

"Sorry, sorry," the boy muttered, as the two of them headed to the kitchen...

"I don't know why they were worrying so much.  My uncle's place is pretty much a twenty-minute walk from here.  The office is near the square, but his home is near here."

"This is a nice walk," Misty shivered, "although it is a bit cold out from all of this snow that's still falling."

"I can help keep you warm," Ash told the girl seductively, waggling his eyebrows.  "I would be happy to."

Misty was semi-glad that Ash was trying his best to be "romantic", but it was really beginning to creep her out a bit…

especially with what he had whispered to her earlier.  Todd, who was fed up with Ash's display, grimaced.  "Calm down, Ash!  What is with you, tonight?"

Ash blinked in response.  "What do you mean?"

"Todd is right," Misty hesitantly spoke up.  "You have been acting, well, different.  Why?"

"I didn't realize that I was, so I don't know.  I just can't help myself."  He shrugged.  "I kinda feel that I'm supposed to be acting this way for some strange reason."

"Well, you are acting weird," Misty's voice trembled slightly, "so please try and control yourself."

"But I can't help it since your elegant beauty is clouding my mind."

"Okay, this is definitely messed up right here," Todd concluded.  "Something is definitely wrong with Ash."

"Yeah, maybe you're right, but maybe we shouldn't worry about him too much.  If he starts to act any weirder than what he already is, then I'll bean him with my mallet to knock the sense back into his head."

"Good luck doing that," Todd muttered under his breath sarcastically.

The group continued their walk towards Duplica's uncle's.  It was a bit peculiar, Ash was acting stranger and he had no idea why.  He felt the need to say all that he'd said and done the way he had throughout the night, like a lovesick puppy.

RP: I know how corny that sounds, no need to tell me. (Thinks for a moment) Hmm, I know how lame it is to say corny, too…

"My uncle's place is just up ahead!" Duplica announced, increasing her pace, the others doing so as well.

A large mansion with a wall surrounding the premises began to come into sight.  "Yeah, there it is!"  At the gate was an intercom and a pin-pad device.  The girl pushed a few numbers on the pin-pad device, and the big iron barred door rolled back slowly.  "Only I, and my cousin, know the code, so I can't let you guys know about it."

After the squeaky gate doors fully opened, the other three awed at the sight of the huge grounds (it also had a large fountain out front which had a strange looking Pokémon spouting water), they entered, Duplica making sure the gate locked behind her.  She then rushed ahead of the others excitedly, to the big doors of the mansion.  'I wonder why there were no guards by the gate…'

"Duplica, are you sure it's okay to visit someone at this hour?"

"Oh Misty, stop worrying.  Of course it's okay; I am one of his favorite nieces, Laura being the other.  I'm his niece by blood; Laura is his adopted niece."

"Adopted?"

"Yeah," Duplica nodded.  "I don't know if you've noticed, but Laura is a foreigner."

"She is?" Ash asked in surprise.

"Yeah, her full name is Laura Jenkins, and her family pretty much emigrated here from the west.  Anyway, my uncle used to take care of her when she was young.  Laura would visit all of the time since she had a lot of trouble at home, which was pretty bad.  Laura's father was a business man, and her mother was a housewife that drank a lot and never seemed to be happy.  It was abusive there, but she would never tell anyone about it since she was threatened by her parents how it would make the family look bad.  One day, it got so bad, that the police had to step in and take Laura away, and her parents most definitely weren't getting her back.

"They used to beat her, and when my uncle found out about that, he was the one who made the calls to have Laura taken away.  He managed to get them tossed into jail for their mean and harsh ways."  Even though the story was sad, Duplica smiled slightly with what she said next.  "I always did enjoy Laura's company and so did my uncle, so he asked to adopt her as his niece, but you can tell that he really thinks of her like his own child, since he's never had any children.  My uncle's always loved children, and donates money, clothes, and toys to many organizations that help them."

"Your uncle sounds like a real kind, generous guy."

"Oh, he is, Todd, he is!  That's how I know he wouldn't mind if we visit at this hour."  Duplica rang the doorbell to the mansion, the sound echoing throughout the large home.  "He's nice to everyone, and if any of the inhabitants here have a problem, they can all come to him to talk and stuff."  She rang it again.  "At night, though he keeps the gates locked, I guess for privacy, but during the days where he's not at the office, he keeps them open."

A few moments passed, and the door finally creaked open.  For Duplica, she was surprised to see that someone outside of a servant answered the door.

"Uncle?"

The person to answer was, indeed, Duplica's uncle, only he looked to be completely out of it, as if he were intoxicated.  He was a stout man, with slightly balding jet-black hair, wearing a pair of grey slacks and a white dress-shirt, like he had just returned home from the offiice.  In his chubby hand, he held a club, and swung it threateningly at Duplica.

"Get out of here," the older man snarled in an evil voice.

"U-uncle?"

Mezase Pokémon Masutaa – This is the first season opening theme song. I simply love the song for this particular Japanese opening! I don’t know why, but I just do. I’m listening to it right now. That’s how I got the idea to put it in here.
