Well, I’m back once again with another part for all of you lucky people. As we all know, I do not own any of these Pokémon characters except for the few characters that I made up for this particular fic. The only one that deserves credit for such an achievement for Pokémon is good old Toshiro Ono or was it Satoshi Tajiri? Wait a minute, Ono-sensei is responsible for the manga and Tajiri-sama is responsible for the anime. Never mind let us just thank who ever else is responsible for Pokémon, other than THOSE two you think of whenever you hear the word, "Pokémon" Okay enough with the semi-tribute. Here is part 12 of this fic. Hope you guys aren’t confused so far. I know I am. J/K

Misty/Todd: 14

Part 12: This Can’t be My Uncle!

RP: Oh my goodness! Mr. Imité, Duplica’s uncle, is yelling at our young heroes. I don’t know what’s come over this once nice jolly old man. Hope everything turns out okay.

Duplica Title: This Can’t be My Uncle!

Ash: And how come she gets to announce the title!

Todd: Probably because it’s her uncle.

Misty: Yeah! Use your head!

Ash: Oh, didn’t think of that.

Todd: (Under his breath) If it’s possible for him to use his head.

Ash: HEY!

RP: Now that that’s settled, shall we continue?

Todd/Misty: Sure.

Ash: NO!

RP: Why not, Ash?

Ash: Todd has insulted my honor! (Taking out a glove like Homer did in the Simpsons, slapping everyone/he smacked Todd with it) I challenge thee, Todd, to a duel over the fair lady Misty!

RP/Misty: SHUTUP ASH!

Misty: Stop acting like a fool and apologize to Todd for smacking him!

Todd: (Holding his face where he was smacked) Wait a minute, if he wants a duel, I say let me give him one!

Misty: But Todd, I...

Todd: (Interrupting) I ACCEPT your challenge...Ketchum!

Ash: You’re on…(narrows his eyes)...Shutterbug!

Misty: I don’t think that this is such a good…

Todd: If I win, then you have to shut up for the remainder of this fic. If you win, name it.

Ash: If I win, you have to be my slave for an entire month!

Todd: Agreed! Let’s go!

Misty: Well, if you two must duel...then so be it. (Handing each an object) Here you go. Now, you two stand back to back, take five paces, turn and then fire!

Duplica: I thought it was ten paces?

Misty: Well, they'll finish quicker this way.

Duplica: Hmm, I don’t think this is such a good idea Misty. What if Ash gets hurt?

Misty: Boy, you think he’s going to lose already?

Duplica: I bet you Ą500 that Todd wins.

Misty: My Ash'll beat your Todd any day! (To herself) Erm…maybe.

Duplica: Oh yeah!

Misty: Yeah!

Duplica: How about Ą1000 instead!

Misty: I accept your bet! (To herself) Ash better win!  I don't feel like paying up Ą1000!

Duplica: (Shaking Misty's hand) You're on!

Ash: (Looking at the object in his hand) What’s this? (Starts to scream and act scared/starts to go hysterical)

Todd: (Surprised) What’s wrong?

Ash: IT’S A GUN! I HATE GUNS! I forfeit! Take this gun away from me! I don’t want to get hurt! (Voice quivering) Take it away, please. Just-just take it away!

Ash sits down on the ground as if he were about to cry.

Todd: It’s just a water pistol, what’s with him?

Misty: One too many run-ins with guns. One time a Game Warden put a gun RIGHT up to his head, thinking he was a robber or something. Also, every time he said something wrong, he would cock the gun like as a threat to him. If he say something wrong, boom, he'd pull the trigger, but he never did. He was only trying to scare him, which worked. Another time, which he told me about, he said that when he was going to get a potion for Pikachu and the WHOLE store pulled guns out on him and would’ve fired, if it weren't for Officer Jenny stopping them. He was TRYING to explain that he wasn’t a part of Team Rocket, but they were going to shoot him anyway. Remember when we met you? He thought that YOU were going to shoot us and went hysterical and pushed Pikachu, Brock, and me down in order to protect us. He then sent out Squirtle and used his Watergun on the bush and there you were.

RP: The eps being referred to are Here Comes the Squirtle Squad, Pokémon Papparazzi, and the cut ep, The Legend of Dratini, which WASN'T all that bad, in my opinion, and SHOULDN'T have been cut from the dub.

Duplica: That’s awful.

Misty: (Kneeling beside Ash) Come on, Ash. It’s okay. We know of your fear of guns. I didn’t think that a water pistol would’ve made any difference though. Real guns can hurt you, water pistols don't.

Duplica: Well…Misty, you sorta

Misty: (Taking out the money) Here.

Duplica: Thanks, nice doing business with you.

Misty: Yeah, yeah.

Mr. Imité: CAN WE GET ON WITH THIS STORY NOW! I’M NOT GETTING ANY YOUNGER HERE! Besides, I want to know what happens!

RP: You and me both.

Everyone face-faulted.

Ash: (To Imité-san) Okay. (To everyone else) Sorry.

Todd: No need to be; now, let’s get on with this fic.

All: Right!

RP: Come on, come on, places every body. Let's take it from the top! Imité-san, let’s start with you. You were getting angry with Duplica. Okay, ready and…action!

"Get out of here!" Mayor. Imité snapped at Duplica angrily.

"Uncle, what's wrong!"

He ignored the young girl's question, and looked over at the three young teens standing behind Duplica, who were quite quiet over the man's display.

"Who are those three?" he demanded with a snarl.

"Th-these are my fr-fr-friends, uncle," Duplica stuttered, not sure of what to make of him.

Neither Ash, Misty, nor Todd said a word, and just stood there, being studied by the heavy man.

He looked back at his niece, still patting the club in the palm of his opposite hand.  "What makes you think that I would want you to visit me with your 'friends"?" he growled.  "Now, go away, and don't ever bother me again, you annoying little brat!"  He turned his back to them, about to close the door.

Duplica was almost in tears, flabbergasted over his behavior towards her.  This wasn't the kind man she had grown to love and respect.  "But, uncle, don't you love me anymore?  What's the matter with you?  You never act like this!"

He turned around, his teeth grit, his face burrowed in extreme loathing.  "I said to go away!"

Before Duplica could protest any more, the man raised the heavy club into the air, about to lower it down onto the poor frightened girl.  "No, uncle, please, don't," she pleaded between sobs.  She stared into her uncle's eyes, no longer did she see friendliness or caring, but instead she saw coldness and harshness.

"This will teach you for being such a damn pest to me!"

Duplica gave out a small yelp, and closed her eyes, her arms raised instinctively, kneeling, awaiting her pain.  He lowered the club fiercely, which was inching closer and closer to Duplica.  It finally hit, making a somewhat hollow, thumping sound, which caused both Ash and Misty to gasp at the sight.

Ash, for once in his life, didn't try to fight someone else's battle, which he had done quite often in the past.  This time, he felt that he should just stand back and watch, hoping for the best.  He really didn't understand why, though, and ironically, Misty was the same.  She too would normally defend her friends.

After the child was struck by the club the first time, Mayor Imité continued striking.  During this encounter, Duplica, whose eyes were still shut tight, wondered why she wasn't feeling any pain.  She opened them slowly, and saw that someone was blocking off the hits for her.  Her eyes watered even more.  Todd had dove over her and was taking the hits of the heavy, wooden club, full blast.  The hits to his back was bad enough, but with the last hit, which made a deafening cracking sound, was to his head, causing the boy to fall out, and slump to the cold ground.

"Todd!!!" Duplica screamed, holding his body.  Ash and Misty, whom of which were finally able to move, rushed over to Duplica and Todd.  "Uncle, how could you hurt him like this!" the girl demanded angrily, her face tear-stained.  "You're not my uncle!" the girl uttered in complete disgust.  "You're some type of-of-of monster!"

He stared with a sickening pleased grin, and scoffed, "Like I care."

After those words, his once glassy black eyes turned to that of an unhealthy shade of red.  He grunted, as if in pain, and it looked as if something flew right out of him.  It seemed to look like some type of a shadow, but it had a form with arms and legs.  Without saying a word, he closed the door on Duplica and the others (whom were trying their best to help get Todd someplace, like a hospital or a doctor), collapsing to the floor…

At the Laboratory…

"Success, Mewtwo!" the middle-aged man cheered, staring at a screen which was now showing Duplica, and the others, leaving the Imité mansion's grounds.  An owl-like Pokémon was circling around them, but Misty shoo'd it away hastily.  The Pokémon just "hooted" and perched itself onto a nearby tree branch, watching the group closely.

The man had different psychic (and part psychic) type Pokémon stationed all around the town, and since these particular Pokémon was under his control, he could see what they saw, thanks to a little device the professor had obtained from Professor Oak of Pallet.  It was pretty much a small mechanical bug.

"At least you managed to hurt one of them, but you didn't hurt that girl like I wanted!  I am proud, though, that you kept that bratty redheaded girl and that clueless cap boy from helping out, but make sure that the girl gets hurt at some point!  She has the power to defeat me, along with a couple of her friends."

"Yes, sir," Mewtwo replied telepathically.  "I will try much harder to control his mind as well as his actions."

"This is great, sir," the professor replied, "but I don't understand how she and these other people will have the power to stop this."

"Well, they do."  He took his seat once again.  "The girl with the Ditto, Imité's niece, has the power to stay protected from any psychic-based attack.  A couple of her friends have the power of one, meaning that those two will have to work together.  I do not know which two possess this power, but it has to be someone close to Imité's niece or have some kind of a connection with her.  I just sense this.  Now, the other one, I'm not too sure about yet, but is the most powerful of them."

"Sir, it's amazing how you know these things, but you've never once told me what this place has which is why you want it conquered so badly."

He smirked shiftily.  "It'd make a nice asset, don't you think?"

"I suppose it would, sir."

"This place is loaded with diamonds and precious metals; this place is a goldmine in rare and unusual Pokémon.  I have managed to gain the interest of some oversea buyers who would love to own these type of Pokémon.  It would also make me a really nice profit.  It's pretty much black marketed, since anyone discovering such Pokémon, would report it to one of these boring scientists."  The man went quiet suddenly, an unusual thought entering his mind.  'It would also be nice to be well-known again.  This is my home, and I'm going to take it back.  I should've had control of this island decades ago!'

"With all of these rare Pokémon making appearances, it will give me the chance to research them.  If this doesn't help you get back on your feet, I don't know what will, sir."

"Also, I will be able to get my revenge on a certain redheaded girl and a big-mouthed boy!"

The professor nodded, keeping his eye on the screen.  "Very nice, sir."

"It's a very good thing we planned this, weeks ago."  He then chuckled malevolently, "It's amazing what money can do to obtain one his freedom."

"About the power stuff you just mentioned, did you mean this literally?  No Pokémon needed?"

"Yes.  The two who must fight as one has this strange, extraordinary power when together; I will find out more about it later, though."

"But after all of my research these past few weeks while you were," he cleared his throat, "occupied, I never came across anything such as that."

"Maybe you haven't, but I have."  The professor looked at him confusedly.  "Calm yourself, my dear professor, I shall explain.  I came across this a long while ago.  It had always fascinated me, and I was always drawn to this place, but never had much of a reason to pursue it.

"According to legend, when Lost Kage Island becomes enchanted and strange Pokémon begin to inhabit the island, then it means that an evil force has finally awakened and taken over the important officials of the island.  The gym leaders and the mayor have been already and are helping without realizing it.  We are brainwashing everyone else into thinking the gym is actually there, as it really isn't, neither is the Shadow Badge for trainers to win.

"This was all just a trick to lure all of those Indigo Pokémon League participants here so that we could swipe their Pokémon.  The officials here are all possessed with the help of that Mewtwo, Drowzee, and Hypno, and they're the key of making sure they stay that way until the time is right.  Right now, demons are entrapped inside of their bodies, and are more powerful than ever!  When it reaches the appointed time, or either their peak, they will be freed and will join me in my quest!"

"I still don't understand how you know these things about this place…"

"I've know about this for a long time, like I mentioned earlier," he told him plainly.  'I've yearned to know about this place since maybe birth, but why?'  He shook off the thought and continued.  "Ever since I laid eyes on it, I felt the need to study its legends and myths.

"Now, it also stated that a girl will be able to protect this island from all evil with some type of a special Pokémon, but in order to keep the peace here, she must have two other powers with her in order to defeat it.  I really feel that Imité's niece is one of them since she's the only one who hasn't been affected by my psychic Pokémon's attacks…" he trailed off.  'Why does this all seem familiar to me?  I didn't really research this place, like I told my assistant just now…I just seem to know.  My time away gave me the time to think and focus.  I somehow just summoned up these spirits, without the help of books or anything.  The professor found out about the jewels, but I know of everything else…why is that?'

"Now I'm a bit confused.  Why bother with all of these psychic-type Pokémon when all of this was pretty much destined to happen anyway?"

He rose from his seat, walking towards the taller, younger man.  "I'm just helping it along.  I'm the one who summoned these demons to take over the island while I was away so that I could take it over afterwards."  He frowned slightly.  "It is a shame that I resurrected some other things while I was at it, but luckily, it helped pave the way to my freedom.  Besides, I do need some psychic Pokémon if I even want a chance at those rare types that are hidden in the deepest parts of the island.  They can use their powers to help me locate them.  The reason these new ones are here is because of my summoning the spirits.

"Some of these new Pokémon will obey, and some of them won't, which is why I need these psychic types."

"But what about the others, sir?"

"I'll get rid of them some how.  The only thing I want to know is why the mugging didn't go as planned.  The set up was perfect!"

"According to the police report that was filed not too long ago," the professor began, hacking into the police database, "it was because of the one by the name Daté Jen, who attends the Police Academy here.  She is very skilled in self-defense techniques, more than likely."

"I want information on all of them, pronto!  All of those that Imité girl knows, starting with her cousin!  I must figure out who the destined ones are."

"Sir, you don't think it could be that redheaded girl, or the cap-wearing loser, or the no-eyed weirdo, do you?  I have encountered them before, and have had a strange feeling about them ever since, like they will alter any plans that you may have, or have had, including that Mewtwo."

He rubbed his chin, considering this.  "It could be, but we will not know for sure until we find out as much as we can about them."

The professor nodded, walking out of the lab, to use one of the other computers to get the information.

"I know the secret as to why you never are attacked, girl!  You are the destined one, and I will soon destroy you and your helpers!"  He began to cackle loudly.

Mewtwo, who was still hooked up to the strange machinery, just as the Hypno and Drowzee next to him, sensed that neither of them wanted to be there or do what was being forced of them.  They were the three most powerful Psychic Pokémon that this strange man had as of the moment.

'This is wrong,' Mewtwo thought somberly.  'I, once again, can not control my mind.  I need help to stop those two from using all of the Pokémon to attack and to prevent them from taking it over.  Also, the cap bearer's friend is destined to stop this man and the evil demons that will soon surface the island in a few short days, maybe even sooner.  I tried my best to contact my friend, but my telepathy is just making him act strangely.  Could it be due to the fact that he is not equipped with such a power?'

"I know what you are like, Mewtwo, and I can tell that you want to save your friends from their unavoidable fate, but you can't!  You can't even contact them using your telepathy.  We have both made sure of that.  You'll work perfectly this time.  I control your thoughts this time!  Your cap-wearing friend is acting extra strange because of me.  Any time you try to contact him, he only thinks of fantasies and his innermost thoughts that he wouldn't usually think of consciously."  He looked back up at the screen, and began to laugh demonically, pushing a button on the keyboard, causing Mewtwo to become even more helpless.  "Hmm, I see that one of the demons have finally been freed…"

"If only…I could…warn them…" Mewtwo grunted in pain, wanting more than anything to be released of his technological prison…

Meanwhile, Duplica, Misty, and Ash were dragging Todd back to Jen and Joya's place.  They didn't have too much trouble, thanks to "Misty the Mighty's" strength.
RP: Well, she uses a 100lbs mallet in almost every fic, of course she'll have a bit of upper-arm strength, even if she doesn't show it. lol
x x x x x x x x x x
Both Duplica and Ash had a bit of trouble, seeing as how Todd was the biggest of the four them height wise.  Ash and Misty were about the same height now, and Duplica was quite petite.
RP: Hmm, come to think of it, Misty could probably pick Todd up and just carry him herself.  I mean, she can drag both Ash and Brock off at the same time. lol
x x x x x x x x x x
After a good while, the group arrived at the house.  They would've gone to the hospital, but it would've taken too long to get there without a reliable mode of transportation.  They busted into the house, along with some newly fallen snow.

With the intrusive entrance, and Duplica's cry for help, the older teens rushed to the front door.  Brock and the others were watching television when they returned.  They were all watching the news, but when they heard Duplica, they rushed off towards the door, missing the report that was now being done on Mayor Imité.  They then noticed an unconscious Todd.

"Oh my gosh, what happened?"

Neither answered Kenji right away, as Duplica and Ash got Todd to the living room, and laid him down on the couch.  While Ash and Duplica did that, Misty explained to the others what had happened.  Neither Joya nor Jen could believe what they were hearing.

"Your uncle would never do that to anyone!" Joya said, denial evident in her light, soothing voice.  "He wouldn't even attack his worst enemy!"

"He's nice and caring towards everyone."

"Well, that's what happened," Duplica muttered quietly.  "Snap got in the way."

"Everyone, leave him right where he is," Joya instructed seriously.  "I'll look over him to make sure nothing is broken, or any other serious injuries."

She began to examine the boy, but was very concerned over his head as of the moment.  He had a bit of a cut on the back of his head, so Joya hurried and bandaged it up.  As for his back, Todd winced, even in his sleep, every time she would hit a sore spot.  After a while of examining, Joya smiled contently.

"He'll be fine.  He's just a bit bruised from the hit is all, although, some aspirin may help him.  As for his head, I bandaged that, and an icepack may help him since he's going to probably have one massive headache when he awakens."

"I'll go get one," Duplica offered, taking off.

"Thank goodness he isn't showing any signs of having a concussion," Joya said gratefully.

"You can tell that just with him being asleep?  Wow, you are a good doctor!  Maybe you should take up being a human doctor as well as a Pokémon one.  You're good with both."

She blushed slightly.  "Arigatou, Takeshi-san.  I never really thought much about it, but my knowing this basic stuff is all apart of my training."

Right at that moment, they heard a slight moan coming from Todd, who was beginning to stir.  He opened his eyes, feeling a bit dizzy.  "Man, my head hurts," he complained in a low voice.  He then sat up, holding his head, realizing that another pain was a bit more intense.  "Ow, my back hurts really badly!"

Duplica came back into the room holding an icepack, a glass of water, and an aspirin, which she gave to Joya.  Before Joya could instruct Todd, Duplica hurried and gave the boy a quick, gentle hug, making sure not to hurt him.

"You're so nice," she smiled to him. "No one has ever done anything like that for me before."

Todd blushed slightly. "It was nothing."

Ash: HEY, RP!

RP: (Sighs in exasperation) What is it now, Ash?

Ash: How come Todd is saving all the girls! First, Misty, now Duplica! Next thing we’ll know, Todd will stop some crazy guy with a Ginzu sword who is trying to hurt Jen!

RP: Ash, why does it matter? Let’s just work on this fic now. Besides, Jen wouldn’t need any type of protection. She took on three robbers by herself!
"Why is all of this happening?" Todd asked.

Before anyone could answer, Joya shoved the glass of water, and two white pills into his hands.  "Toru-kun, swallow down this aspirin first.  It'll help with your pain," Joya instructed the younger boy.

Todd nodded and took the aspirin, gulping down the water greedily.  "Duplica, I think we woke up your uncle."

"Even if we had, he would never do a thing like that.  I know him, and with the way he acted tonight, I sense that something is very wrong with him."

Jen was about to give her opinion on the whole situation, when they all heard a loud "Pika!" coming from the hall.  Everyone, minus Todd, got up to check on the small, yellow rodent.

"What's wrong, Pikachu?" Ash asked in alarm.

":It's Togepi!:" the rodent breathed out, as if he had run all the way from the other side of the house.  ":Something is wrong with Togepi!  He's crying and glowing and shaking uncontrollably and saying a bunch of stuff I can't really understand.:"

"Could Togepi be evolving?"

Pikachu shook his head.  ":No, this isn't an evolution!  Something is wrong with Togepi, Ash!:"

Misty caught what was said by the electric Pokémon, and took off, as if she were racing for her life.  "Mommy's coming, Togepi!"

Ash and Pikachu ran behind Misty, as did the others.  Even Todd managed to get up, stalking behind the group.

When they arrived in the room, Togepi was sitting on the floor, glowing a light bluish color, shaking, and crying, constantly saying, ":Uncle Mew!:"  Of course, no one could understand this, Misty and Ash included, since he was speaking strangely.  Even Pikachu couldn't pick up what was being said, since, to him, it sounded like a bunch of gabble.

"Oh no, Togepi!!" Misty cried.  Togepi looked to Misty, tears in his eyes, like he was suffering.  He stopped shaking and glowing, and fell over, going unconscious.  Misty scooped him up in her arms, shedding tears, and began to rock him.  "Togepi, Togepi!  Are you all right?  Don't worry; mommy is here to protect you!"

After a moment, Togepi awoke, smiling up at Misty.  Togepi then noticed everyone else.  ":Why is everyone staring at me?:"  He looked back up at Misty.  ":Why are you crying, mommy?:"

Misty was taken aback by the small Pokémon's query.  "Don't you remember what just happened?  You were glowing and trembling."

Togepi shook his head.

"This is strange," Ash muttered, "and to make it worse, we never did go out to look for Mewtwo.  I know Togepi said that Mewtwo is okay, but I still feel that we should look for him."

"But Mewtwo is the ultimate Pokémon," Brock reminded him.  "I'm sure he's okay, Ash."

At the mentioning of Mewtwo's name, Togepi started to cry hysterically in Misty's arms.  He began to glow again, and screamed out Mewtwo's name.  Togepi even seemed to be trying to speak in human tongue, but nothing helped, and to those who could usually understand the small egg-Pokémon, it sounded like Poké-gibberish…

At the Viridian City Gym…

It was now a bit past 22:00, and the front door to the gym was knocked on.  Surprised, Mondo, along with Ratticate, walked over to answer the door.  There were two strangers standing there, but he calmly explained that there weren't going to be any more battles for the night.  Mondo didn't recognize these two people, as it was dark, and the two were covered up pretty well.  After delivering this small fact, both began to chuckle, and vanished within a flash.

Before Mondo could react, some smoke arose behind him.  "What's going on," he coughed.  Ratticate only screeched, also coughing from the dark smoke, clouding around them.

"To show the world we've turned over a new leaf!" a female's voice rang.

"To prove to the world we are no longer thieves!" the second voice, belonging to a male, bellowed.

"We both now believe in only truth and love!"

"We now give our help to those who aren’t as rich as those above!" (Meaning the less fortunate)

The smoke began to clear, and the two's identities were now becoming visible.

"Jessie!"

"James!"

"Team Rocket the evil company that is no more!"

"And take it from us, Team Rocket was evil to the core!"

"Now that we are good..." both said, while hugging one another, "we both will now soar!"

"Will yous two shut up!" a certain cat-Pokémon snapped at the two, walking in, standing next to Mondo.  "Only you two would go and rewrite the old motto!  Dat's da corniest think I ever hoid!"

"But it's all-true, Meowth," Jessie stated as-matter-of-factly.  "Team Rocket was evil, and we were, unfortunately, a part of it."

"Yeah, we're just showing how glad we are to be out of it for good."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever," Meowth muttered grumpily.

"Jessie, James, Meowth!" Mondo clapped.  "It's so great to see you all again, and it's really nice what you did to the motto."

Jessie and James bowed.  "Thanks."

"Ratticate, go get Cassidy and Butch," Mondo instructed.

The rat-like Pokémon nodded, and rushed off to fetch his owner and Butch.  During this, Jessie, James, and Meowth conversed with the young gym assistant, talking about how much fun he had working in the gym.  A short moment later, Ratticate returned with a confused Butch and a disgruntled Cassidy, who was ready for bed.

"Jessie, James, Meowth!" Butch commented in surprise.  "So that's what this crazy rat was trying to tell us."

"Wow, we were just talking about you guys!"  Cassidy's displeasure, and fatigue, disappearing instantly, she hurried and hugged the two.  "What brings you two by?"

"We decided to surprise you all with a visit," Jessie replied.

"We're also vacationing.  You could call this a business/pleasure trip."

"Yeah, dose two are tryin' to find a new location for dare fast-food place."

"Butch, Mondo, and I like your fast-food restaurant a lot.  It seems to be very successful."

Butch nodded.  "Of course; it's because the food is so good."

"Do you two want to stay here with us?" Cassidy asked them.

"We don't want to impose…" James started.

"No, think nothing of it," Butch insisted.  "This place is big enough for you all to stay.  Giovanni had a lot of extra rooms here."

"We could all have a bit of tea too, as well as a few snacks," Cassidy offered.

The feline rubbed his stomach, and licked out his tongue.  "Meowth is hungry!"

"Well, then," Mondo led them, "follow us and we'll get you fed."

The group went to the eating quarters, where everyone took a seat.  Mondo prepared some snacks, while Cassidy prepared tea.

"So, how come you guys got here so late?" Butch asked.  "It shouldn't take that long to get here from Cinnibar with the connections James have."

"Because the brainless James, here, got us lost!"

"Quiet Meowth!  I did not get us lost!"

"When you don't know where you're going or where you are, that means you're lost!"

"M-my compass just malfunctioned, that's all."

"Admit it, brainiac," he crossed his arms, and rolled his eyes, his forehead charm gleaming, "you got us lost!"

A nerve was twitching on Jessie's forehead.  She was growing very tired of this petty arguing.  "Will you two just shut up!"

Both refrained from saying another word, afraid of what Jessie would do to them otherwise.  Right at this moment, Cassidy returned with a tray holding a tea kettle, tea cups with saucers, and Mondo walked behind her, holding a tray which held some snacks.

"Here you go."  Cassidy sat the tea kettle down in the middle of the table, and began to pour everyone some.

Mondo gave all of the humans a piece of monaka, and some sashimi for Meowth.  After all of the "thank yous", both he and Cassidy seated themselves down.

Meowth's eyes watered in delight as he stared at the sashimi.  "Sashimi is just right for this Meowth!"

"This is good," James complimented, taking a bite out of the sweet snack.  "Now, while we're here, we would like to know where the Indigo League games are going to be held this year.  We wanted to surprise Ash and his friends."

Jessie sipped down some of her hot, green tea.  "I was thinking Indigo Plateau like it is every year."

"Since yous two are official gym leaders now, we figured dat you would know."

Butch looked a bit embarrassed.  "We're not too sure either, now."

"What do you mean?  Yous two are gym leaders!"

"We all thought Indigo Plateau, like Jessie," Cassidy explained, "but no trainer has registered yet.  Mr. Goodshow even called me, and asked if either of us knew about it."

Butch and Mondo took turns telling the rest of the story, which including the young assistant calling the other gyms.

"From the calls I made, we think all of the League participants and competitors are at this place called Lost Kage Island."

"Lost Kage Island?  Where is that?"

"It's an island east of Cerulean City, Jessie," Cassidy explained.

"Oh, I've heard of that place, just never been.  I remember hearing my snobby parents speaking of it."  James snapped his fingers, once again coming up with an idea.  "Jessie, why don't we open up one of our restaurants there?"

"But this place has never been hoid of by many people.  What makes you think that there are enough people there to eat at your fast food place sufficient to actually make some kind of a profit?"

"I know what I'm doing, Meowth.  I'm intelligent and smart when it comes to these types of things."

"Yeah, about as smart as an ant that's starving to death in a sugar field…"

James punched the smart-allecky cat in the head.  "Shut up, Meowth!"

Mondo sweat dropped at James's violence towards Meowth.  Mondo absolutely loved Meowth, as it was his favorite type of Pokémon.  Due to his liking for Meowth, he actually designed the old hot-air balloon that Jessie and James used to use back during their Team Rocket days.  "I've done a bit of research on that place, and it is real and has a lot of residents.  The place isn't new or anything, but has been populated for many years.  I'm just wondering why it's rarely had any publicity."

"That's what I don’t get," Cassidy pondered.  "It seems that it would've been mentioned in the paper or on the news at least once.  I know nothing of this place."

"Thinking about it now," Meowth began, recovering from the punch, "I think da boss might've mentioned that place before."

"Well, how do we get there?" Jessie asked anxiously.

James yawned in reply.  "Let's worry about that tomorrow.  I'm a bit tired."

"I guess we could all use a bit of a rest," Butch said, standing up.  "Mondo, let's show them to a couple of rooms."

Mondo nodded and stood, as did everyone else.

"Wait; let me take this out first."  James pulled a Pokéball from out of his pocket, and tossed it.  Out of the ball emerged a small, dog-like Pokémon who specialized in fire-based attacks.  "I'm sorry it took me so long to let you out, Growlie."  Growlithe jumped on James, and began to lick his face.

"Growlithe!  James, when did you pick him up?"

After Growlithe stopped licking James, he settled down.  James then answered Jessie's question.  "He got transported in his Pokéball to our place on Cinnibar.  I requested him from my parents right before we left."

After that, Mondo showed James, Jessie, and Meowth to some sleeping quarters, saying their goodnights, and heading off to sleep…

RP: What will happen to Mewtwo? What’s wrong with Togepi? Who are the destined? Will the ex Team Rocket members go to Lost Kage Island and if so, how? Tune in next time for Part 13.

Wow, I beat out my own record. First time I wrote a story this long before. Well, I finally came up with some type of an explanation for this crazy guy wanting the island. I surprised myself with that one. I also changed TR-1's (remember, TR-1 = Jessie, James, & Meowth; TR-2 = Cassidy, Butch, Ratticate) motto. Just wanted to try something different. Besides, I couldn’t think of anything else. (Sweat drops) Well, tell me what you think. My address is pikato8270 at aol .com or SSJupiter at aol .com.
