It was maybe eleven when we finally left the house. Mom burst into tears, babbling about her baby boy leaving the house to conquer his Pokemon life. Not once in her nearly half an hour long babble did she mention me, her only daughter.
My father was a lot more caring, though. Promising to send me new clothes incase I ever get the ones I have now dirty. He also promised to send food and money incase we ever got lost or something. Mom was still babbling and crying over Jakob – and loudly, as if he was better than me – before Dad finally pulled her away and told her to shut up; if Jakob was to ever leave home he shouldn’t need his mother attached at the waist.

“Good bye my darling!”

Mother cried, holding onto my father for support. Gritting my teeth I stomped away from my house, ready to get my Pokemon and leave. Jakob was sniffling once we were about ten minutes away from home, and I spun around to face him.

“Are you insane?! Your missing the woman already!? Jayus… Jakob just go back home! You don’t deserve to leave home.”

I snarled, pushing him as he stumbled away. I watched him as his face contorted, once into anger, another into mild resentment. He was mighty mouthy for a boy of ten, but then again, he was always trying to steal the spotlight from me, even when we were younger.

“Don’t push me, Riley.”

He said, before I mimicked his voice and looked away. We were five minutes away from getting our Pokemon and leaving this town forever; but Jakob was being a baby, and I couldn’t even take two steps before he started his baby act again.

“Jakob, stop being a baby. Mom will phone us every friggen minute, alright? Lets just get out of here, okay?”

I sighed, as he glared at his feet. I'm fed up with him; my anger is bubling and I'm sick of waiting on him. I grabbed his arm and began dragging him towards the lab, when he wretched his arm away and tumbled over onto his behind. Letting out a wail that could wake the dead, I turned and looked at him.

For Jirachi’s sake! He wasn’t even crying! Rolling my eyes in my own frusturation, I glared at him, before my voice left my lungs again.

“Stop with the stupid totodile tears, Jakob. I'm getting my Pokemon, good-bye!”

I shouted, storming off. What seemed like two minutes, passed by as slow as a snail. Jakob soon caught up with me, upset and sniffling.

“M’sorry, Riley.”

He said, as I sighed and gave him a one armed hug. I could never stay mad at the twerp for too long, but he knew how to push my buttons. We arrived at the Professor’s Lab, with him clinging onto my arm there’s no tomorrow. I shook his off with a snarl, and he stopped, and looked at his feet. Rolling my eyes I gently punched his shoulder and jerked my head at the Professor that sat, glaring at his computer while he tapped away at the keyboard.

“C’mon, Jay. We gotta get our Pokemon.”
