prologue:After Ash had become champion and all that happened a new Trainer awoke to his Birthday

Chapter 1

"Happy Birthday!" Roberts brother Chris cried.

"Wha what oh yeah thanx chris" I said

"No probs look what I got you"

I unraped the present to find a little grey machine (By the way my name is Robert Witeri)

"What is it?" I asked

"Its a TM you will like the presents you get today" Chris said in a mysterious voice

I ran to my parents room and woke them up.

"What do you want my dad said"

"Its my 13th birthday and Chris already gave me this TM"

I showed my mum and dad the tm and mum said.

"I guess he already gave the secret away then here take this"

My mum handed over a Lure Ball so I guessed it was a water pokemon of somesort I pressed the button 
and the white light came out and materialised into a....

Marill! "Yes thanks mum thanks dad its my favourite pokemon how did you get it for me" I asked

"We were out near the river and this guy popped out of the water so I just threw the lure ball at him and he 
got caught"

"Ok so whats this TM then?" I asked

Chris said "I bought this with my own money i thought Marill would like this move its Icy Wind it could be 
useful"

"Ok thanks guys" I said

I then ran out of the room with Marill running beside me we then turned the corner and jumped on my bed.

"So what attacks do you currently know?" I asked Marill

Marill then ran at full speed into my wall showing me his tackle attack.

"So you know tackle?" I asked and Marill shouted his name in agreement he seemed to like me alot.

I pressed a little button on the machine and it started to whir and make weird sounds Marill then jumped 
back on the bed and touched the machine making his paw thing lock in and him and the machine glowed 
the looked like Icy wind.

"Marill try your New Icy Wind attack" I said.

Marill then pulled his paw out of the machine and started to blow a dark blue wind with ice crystals in it,the 
wind hit my small pillow and froze it in a light glacier.

"Good Job Marill" I said Marill jumped up and down and started saying its name happily.

"Time to go back in your ball and when you come out next we will have breakfast"

Marill nodded and I said "Return” The red beam shot out of the Lure ball and Marill got sucked in I couldnt 
bellieve tomorrow i was starting my pokemon journey.

I went out into the kitchen and made toast for myself I then but a little bit of cereal in a bowl ith milk for 
Marill, I let Marill out and he started eating straight away.

We both finished breakfast and i put our dishes in the sink,the dishes got washed and were put in the 
cuboard again.

(by the way its the year 2002 so everything is advanced)

"You really like Marill huh" said Chris.

"Yeah do you want to touch him?" I replied.

Chris nodded and started patting Marill at first Marill tackled Chris but I explained that he was my brother 
and he was to be nice to him I did the same when showing Marill my parents.

I got dressed and all that stuff and my relatives and friends started to arrive.

My friends were patting and becoming friends with Marill when my cousin Aunty and Uncle walked in.

"So you finally got a pokemon" Melinda my cousin said

"Yeah" I replied

"Well then you will like our present" Said Melinda

She then handed me a little sack I opened it to find a belt for holding pokeballs and 10 pokeballs even 
though I could only carry 5 more.

"Thanx" I said
"No probs" she replied

Melinda then said "how about a pokemon battle?"

"Ok" I replied "1 on 1 though"

"Fine" Melinda said "Go Likitung" (Melinda wasnt a pokemon trainer but got likitung for her birthday)

"Ok Marill come over hear time to battle"

Marill ran over and started a tackle attack

"Lick it quick" Mel shouted

Now everyone was gathering to see the battle.

Marill stopped tackling and dove down on the carpet of our living room and curled into a bal and glowed 
blue.

Marill just learnt defense curl he must of just reached level 5.

Likitung kept trying to like it except he couldnt get through to Marill.

"Marill jump and use icy wind on likitung!" I ordered

Marill jumped dodging Likitungs toungue and blew a cold blue wind with crystals in it.

The wind hit Likitung slightly freezing its feet causing it to trip over.

"Now tackle it" I yelled

Marill sprang forward and knocked Likitung back into the wall the battle was over and I won.

"Likitung return" Melinda said angriliy.

The beam of her pokeball hit liketung sucking him in.

Marill had won his first battle!
