Chapter 1: The Steps

	Today I went to ask Dad if he would let me go on an adventure on my own.
	"Dad, I know that you don't want me to go on a journey, but there are 
things I can't learn in a text book that I can learn by leaving, even see some 
things,"
	"Like your brother?"
	"Stop it dad! I'm leaving. You never would let me even go to school! I'll 
go!"
	I took a couple of bags with clothes, an empty duffle bag, and my locket 
with me. In the locket there is a picture of Gold and I. 
        Gold was my brother, until my parents divorced. My dad took me away from 
Gold, when we both willingly chose to go with our mom. 
As soon as I left, there was an alarm. The nuclear plant's alarm was going off! 
Using my speed I found an employee that I knew, Jack.
	"What's happening Jack?"
	"It's the diamond, it has radio waves,"
	I went to see what he meant. At the center of the plant there was a 
diamond. As soon as I took it to investigate the alarm stopped. As an award, the 
plant employees gave me the diamond.
	After that experience I had to hurry to the train. My train leaves at noon 
for the ruins. I decided to turn the diamond into a necklace even though it is a 
large diamond. At the ruins I saw a lot of caves.  When I looked into one there 
was a loud voice, it was unknown to me.
	"Bwa ha ha ha! Give me that Diamond and maybe I won't shoot you!"
	I turned to see a large man in what looked like ship; only it was around 
him. I couldn't resist but I had to laugh at him! "Fine! I'll decide! I'll take 
the diamond!"
	I was on my feet to dodge the claw that came to take the diamond.
	" Com' on egg! This is a not fair for her!"
	I turned to see Sonic and Tails behind me. I knew them because they were 
in the news many times.
	"Time for the Super Sonic Bash, eh Sonic?"
	"Yeah Tails, lets go get him!"
	"I'm going to help you with this!"
					............
	It felt great kicking that rotten egg around! I don't know where he went, 
but he's gone. I was scared still so, I hid in a nearby cave. 
While I was in the cave I reflected on my memories of Gold. Our parents always 
were fighting, about us. Gold and I promised each other that we would always be 
together. Moms believed in letting us learn self control, while dad believed in 
"guiding" us through life to the "better times". I gave Gold one of my message 
rings. I was taken from Gold. We talked to each other using the rings. Dad was 
getting suspicious so we couldn't talk much. I remember our last talk exactly. 
Gold had to leave then I a got a different message, it was from mom. She said 
that they missed having me around. I did miss them both.
