There are many legends. Each has a start, but some don't end. We don't know if they do, but this one is a mysterious one. One of two heroes and two siblings who go beyond bickering. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Link looked around. 'Good thing no one's here. I don't want to be caught while I don't have my sword with me.' Little did he know that there were two eyes watching his every move. 'He has to be the one. If I don't help him, Salute will destroy him.' Link turned his head. 'I thought I heard something move.' He got his sword out. He didn't want any chances that it was a guard and he was defenseless. "Come out! I'm not afraid!" 'If he sees me, he'll be frightened. I'm a monster, but I can try to be human. I get along with the other Poke'mon well, but humans run at the sight of me. "A Poke'morph."' The shrouded girl stepped out, the sun shining on her face. She labored to see through the sunshine. "Who are you?" "I'm Serena. You must be Link. I've heard a lot about you." The girl held out her pale hand. Link reached to shake the hand, but he was afraid of the sight of her. 'She's pale as a Zora, but she's like a normal Hylian.' Link soon got to see the rest of her clearly. Serena had two river blue eyes and sky blue hair. It was a mess of short but strait locks. "Nice to meet you." Link started leaving the forest in what seemed in a rush. "Where are you going?" "To Death Mountain." "I'll help you." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Death Mountain was a long climb. Link and Serena only got halfway to the peak. "Klgh!" Serena glared at the figure. "Yl sosq! Qgm'jw bmkl s vakyjsuw lg gmeadq!" Link stared in awe at the verbal battle. "You're friend doesn't understand us. I should've known you befriend a human." "So what?" "You should've stuck with what made you different." "I'm their friends, and they accept that I'm not one of them!" "If you wanted to be human, you would've told that mage yes. But instead you chose to be both. Poke'mon and Human." "A Poke'morph?" "That's right Link. He's my brother, Salute. We both are. I embrace the fact that I'm human, because Poke'mon and humans can live equally. But Salute thinks that we should embrace that we're Poke'mon, saying that Poke'mon are dominant." "You are right for a change, sister. But that'll be the only time!" Salute threw a power ball at Serena. Link jumped in front to protect his friend. "Link!" "Foolish human." "You want a Poke'mon battle?" Serena's eye's glowed with a fiery anger. "I'll give it to you." Serena threw Psy Wave after Psy Wave. Salute used Thunder again and again. Spectators were thrown back by the energy that the two made from their anger. Again and again, Serena and Salute were cut by each other's attacks. Rocks fell as if they wanted the blood flow to stop. Serena's hair was blood red. Salute's dark eyes were brought out by the blood trickling down his fur. 'This fight has to stop! But how? I don't want to kill Salute, but to show him it isn't strength, but heart.' 'This move could destroy you Serena, but you must use it when Salute is in danger of destroying the world.' 'That mage was wise. I'm glad I went to see her.' "One world, now and forever; seal Salute so he can see its truth!" A crystal shot up from the ground, surrounding Salute. The crystal swallowed him, retreating to the ground. "I'm sorry, Salute." Serena turned to Link, who was still on the ground, still knocked out by Salute's energy ball. An old woman made her way to Link's body. "He should be fine. Let's take him to my cottage; it's on the top." Serena picked up Link's body and took him to the peak. "I'm glad there are kind-hearted Poke'morphs out there. All I see is that evil Salute." "He was so confused." The woman seemed to understand and poured Serena a cup of tea. "Do you have a Poke'mon? I was wondering if even capturing Poke'mon is an offence to the Poke'morphs." "I have a Growlith." "It must need a rest. I'll make a bed for it." "Thank you for your hospitality." "It's all I could do since Link got rid of the monsters." Serena's Growlith crawled to the bed, growling to itself. Link stirred occasionally, like he wanted to be up. Serena sat still, watching Growlith crawl into the homemade bed. "Serena?" Link was finally conscience. He has lifted his head to look around. "What happened?" "I sealed away Salute. He will be out in the future, but in a different form and, hopefully, more understanding." "We should hope for that to happen." The mountain shook as if in a fury. "What's going on?" "Let's go see!" Link bust out of the cottage with Serena in pursuit. Outside the cottage was a dark figure. Even daylight didn't pierce the cloak of darkness. "You have sealed away my minion!" You could see his eyes, red in anger. "Your minion?" He ignored Serena's remark. "I challenge you to battle, a duel to death!" Gannondorf verses Serena. Good verses evil. But only two blasts took place. One from each. Both sealing the other away. "Serena!" "Link! Don't forget me!" A screech came from Gannon was. Victory. But to Link, it was sweet as dirt. All that was left of Serena was the crystal that swallowed her. Her Growlith kept trying to burst the rock, but each attempt was a failure. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Link soon knew what Poke'morph she was: A Lighteon. The evolved form of Espeon that is now extinct. When Serena was sealed, you could evolve your Espeon by using a moonstone, a thunderstone, a firestone, or a water stone. You would get a Lighteon by using the waterstone. Salute was a Shadeon, the fire evolution of Umbreon. As soon as decade passed, the last Lighteon was evolved. It was also called Serena. It belonged to Link. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ruby Fox: This is a more serious crossover that I've done, but this isn't it for Serena! ^_~
