Sabrielle "Welcome to Channel 13 News! Today's top stories are; Pokemon Being Discovered By The Dozen! Is the T.V show Ash and Friends a major hit or a major menace?" I stared at the screen, waiting for some interesting news. "And finally, the League Professors have all disappeared!" the T.V blared. "Finally, some damn news. I said somewhat amused. Staring at the 36" T.V in the news shop Screens everyday was finally paying off. As I waited for the other boring stories to pass, I thought about my life. I'm a 14-year-old JD living on the streets. Growing up in the toughest city in the known world had somewhat of an effect on me. I am well known throughout Coal City as the best pickpocket around, and one of the sneakiest hood. Now that's something to be proud of. This town is known for Dark type Pokemon, and I've managed to swipe 3 legendary Dark type Pokemon from unfortunate beginners or display cases in the zoos who had no use for them anyway. The first one (Houndeath) was taken from a beginner rich tourist/trainer who got everything he wanted. The guy had no use for Ebon anyway. I know for a fact that kid was only going to use him for bragging purposes. Xia (Ravena) and Dusk (Shadusk) were a bit harder to get. Since they are both legendary Pokemon, they were encased in a steel cage in a building. Each had their own building covered with guards inside and out. But it was nothing a few fires as distractions and cleverness couldn't solve. Ebon was not that hard to get. He was my first Pokemon. The rich kid disobeyed his father's orders (tisk, tisk, tisk) and went out on his own. Of course, I was the first to reach him and quickly swiped a fresh $100 bill and a master ball containing Ebon. "And our very top story today is League Professors are Missing! The League Professors are a group of 5 professors from each one of the previous leagues. Just a year back, they decided to combine 5 leagues; Johto, Kanto, Rainbow, Orange, and Astro, into the Kojar League. Ever since then, Professor Oak, Elm, Ivy, Willow, and Maple have been studying one type of Pokemon at a time, trying to see of they can evolve further into what they are now. This time it was Dark Pokemon, so they decided to go to Coal City." What the hell?! The fucking professors have not been here, someone would have known! Things get around fast here in Coal, no one knows why, it just does. "As most people know, Coal City is known for it's Dark type Pokemon. But also, if you want to find trouble, you'd be best off here. Authorities are guessing some uneducated hoodlum gang swiped them with out knowing who they are." I couldn't believe it. Uneducated?!?! Ok, some of us are a little dumber then others, but we sure know who the LPs are. Damn, if I get my hands on those reporters, I would kill them. But they did mention our record for trouble, so that's cool. "Bri! Bri!" I heard a voice calling. I still stared at the screen. "Bri!!" Still stared. "BRI!!!!!" I turned around and snapped "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT?!?!" I yelled. Gawd, if someone saw that I was occupied, they should leave me alone. Everybody knew that by now. There's only one person who can bend that rule, and that's—"Mari! Damn it, if you want to talk to me, tell me it's you. If it wasn't, I would have beaten the crap out of you by now!" "Sorry Bri, but it's really important!" Mari's full name is Marina. She's 13 and the only person I respect. It's something about Mari, but whenever I'm with her it feels like I must respect her. I dunno, maybe something in a past life. Whatever it is, it's really strict. Mari has dirty blond hair, which is usually put up in a red bandana. Her eyes are dark blue, and are usually lined with a bunch of eyeliner and mascara. Today she has a red belly shirt with a white-sleeved vest tied at the front and blue capris. "I was down at the police station—" "For what? What the fuck did you do now?! I told you to stay out of trouble Mari!!" I interrupted. "I'm sorry Bri! I didn't think I was doing anything wrong…I supposedly scared the shit out of this little kid at the grocery store." She shrugged. I would let it go this time. "And after yelling at me for a half an hour, Officer Jenny told me that she wants you." I gaped. "What?? I sure as hell don't want to go to the station! What do they think I am, stupid?" "According to that TV report that was just on, yeah." "Oh yeah… Well anyway, I am definitely not going down there." I said stubbornly. I can't believe people would think I would go down there! If I did, the police would be on me faster then a dog to its food! "Bri, I think you would want to hear this. I'm not sure what they want you to do, but she told me to tell you a reward was involved." Now we're getting somewhere. "What kind of reward?" I asked. "A brand new poke-gear! She didn't tell me, but that's always the reward these days." I thought this over. Poke-gear was pretty hard to get since it was new. It was a backpack containing a cell phone, poke-dex, map card, and a radio! Who knows what else? "A Poke-gear huh? Brand new?" Mari nodded yes. "Ok, I'll think about I—" "Mari!" someone interrupted. I turned around and shoved my fist into his face. The kid went flying out the door. I ran up to him. "No one calls Mari, Mari but me! Capeesh?" The kid nodded as blood flowed from his nose. "Sorry Bri, I didn't know. Marina—" "And don't call me Bri. It's Sabrielle to you, punk." "I'm so sorry Sabrielle! But I wanted to tell Marina that the police want you to go to the police with Br- Sabrielle too!" "They want me too? Oh no!" she said slapping her forehead. "How'd I get mixed up in this? Oh well, let's go Bri!" I looked at Mari. "You don't want to go?" "It's just that…I prefer staying put then doing all this stuff. But I'll go anyway." She said. "Ok. Let's go!'
