"Pi-ka-CHUUUU (SUPRISE)" The cry of the electric pokemon could be heard resounding in the hilly countryside as he zapped his trainer awake. "PIKACHU!!!" Ash howled, his hair standing on end, " Im up! Good grief!" Pikachu chuckled to himself and bound across the field to Brock, who was stationed a few yards away cooking breakfast. Tracey was still laughing as Ash pulled his characteristic black tshirt over his bare torso, "It's not funny, Tracey! It never was!" Clearing his throat and hiding a smile, Tracey stood up and brushed grass from his khaki cargo shorts. "Sorry Ash." The two walked over to Brock and he looked up, handing them both paper plates. "Pancakes sound good?" Brock asked, handing the smallest pancake made from the remnants of the batter, to Pikachu. "Pancakes?" Tracey asked eagerly, "Whats the special occasion?" He scooped up a fluffy pancake with a fork and placed it on his paper plate, then plopped down in the soft grass where he had stood. "We're going to be reaching Cerulean City today," He replied, locking a steady gaze with Ash, "And we all know what that means...dont we ash?" "I have...no idea," Ash's cheeks flushed and he smiled shyly, scratching the back of his head, "No really...what does it mean Brock?" He couldnt beleive that his long kept secret had finally come to surface. "I get to see Jenny!" Brock grinned eagerly and floated off into his own little world, "Oh Jenny, how do I adore thee? let me count the ways!" Tracey and Ash both stared at him in disbelief. The excess color slowly drained from Ash's face and he returned to his normal shade. "Dude, there is a Jenny in every city!" Tracey cocked his eyebrow and paused from woofing down his breakfast. "A Jenny...yes. THE Jenny? No," He continued to revel in his daydreams, "I wonder if she remembers me..." "No woman can ever forget YOU Brock," Ash said with such rich sarcasm that even the most ignorant person could tell he ment it negatively. "That IS true, isnt it," Brock flexed his arm, still holding his spatula," No lady can forget the Brockmiester!" "Look what you did," Tracey hissed and elbowed his friend," His head is going to explode." "If it could handle his ego this long, it will never blow," Ash smirked and rolled his pancake into a burrito. Pikachu frollicked among the flowers that had began to bloom, as it was still early spring. He returned to his Trainer and perched on his shoulder, attempting to sneak bits of the pancake from him. "Well lets get packed up," Tracey said, putting his sketchbook in his backpack, "We cant leave Jenny waiting, can we?" "Jeeeeennnyyy!!! Im coming my love!" Brock cried joyfully, bounding off into the distance. "Brock! Get back here!!!" Ash howled," We're not cleaning this up by ourselves!!!" Pikachu already began eating the leftover pancakes. "Piikaaa!(mine!)" He grinned his devilish grin and licked the batter that stuck to the mixing bowl. Tracey and Ash quickly shoved all the equipment haphazzardly into their bags and trecked after Brock.
