Ash: 16 Brock:19 Misty:17 May:16 Max:14 It was a day like any other with our heroes Ash, Brock, May and Max. They had finally reached a town after traveling for three straight days and they were all eager to eat something other than rice. "I'll have a cheeseburger with extra pickles, please," May said brightly, closing the diner menu and looking up at the young female waitress, " And fries!" "Alright," The waitress nodded tiredly, writing down the order in the diners jargon, "And for you, sir?" "I'd really like you on a silver platter," Brock grinned, oogling the lady. Rather than getting angry with the dark skinned teenager she sighed deeply and scratched her temple with the pencil, "I'm sorry that's not an option." Getting little fun out of the woman Brock stopped chidding her and simply stated his order " Thank you. And for you, sweetie?" The waitress got Max's order and lastly turned to Ash, "Alright and for you, sir?" "I'd like two cheeseburgers with extra onions," He began, his mouth watering, "And fries, oh and a chicken sandwich with lettuce and extra mayo, and a BLT. and..." "Woah, Ash dude slow down!" Brock said, "We aren't rich you know!" "I've been saving up," He assured, "Now I'm gonna splurge. Pikachu do you want some fries too?" "Pikaaaa!" Pikachu cheered excitedly, sitting on May's lap. Max leaned acrossed the table to Brock and mumbled. "Does he have an iron leg or something?" "Huh?" May asked, catching the comment, " What?" "Well the food has to go somewhere," He noted and the table laughed except for Ash who looked at them sourly. "Make that two orders of fries," He finished, handing the menu to the waitress, "Thanks a bunch." "Sure," She yawned," Ill be right out with your drinks." As she walked away the clock on the wall read 2 am. Hoot Hoot House (think Waffle House) was the only diner that stayed open this long in this town. "You can't really be that hungry," May said matter of factly, " I know you cant eat all that." "Bet I can!" He defended. "No you cant." "Yes I can" "No you cant." "Yes I-" "Come on guys, behave," Brock sighed exasperatedly, " Its 2 am and I'm getting tired." "yes I can," Ash whispered under his breath and Pikachu shook his head. After their drinks had been served and they had began to get into a decent conversation Ash's cellphone rang. "Who is it?" Max asked, looking up from his glass of coke. "I don't know," He replied," I don't know the number," He got up and walked towards the door, "I'll go see, I'll be right back." "Alright," brock and May turned to each other and continued with their discussion, which Ash could hear untill he shut the door behind him. It was a warm night, well suited for his short sleeved tshirt and sleeveless zip-up vest. He flipped open his cellphone and put it to his ear. "Hello?" "Oh my God! Ash, is it you??" The voice on the other end was female, and it was desperate. "Um...who is this?" He asked, put off by the sound of the womans voice. "Oh God, its Daisy, Ash! Daisy Waterflower!" "And like, Lily Waterflower! Violet is like, speachless but she's like here too!" "...And why are you calling me?" He asked...and then it hit him, " Is it- Is something wrong with misty?" "Like OH MY GOD!" Violet screached in the background. "Like, yeah," Daisy's voice cracked as she began to sob, "Like, our little sister is in critical condition. Oh my God, Ash, she was attacked by a gyarados!" "..what?" He murmered, dumbstruck and unable to respond. "She like, had no pokemon with her," Lily spoke up as her sister was unable to speak between her cries, " Oh my God Ash, you have to hurry! Shes like, oh god...Our little sister is like, dieing." After a long pause Daisy managed to muster enough strength to speak. "Ash...are you there?" "I'll leave immediatly," He whispered," Thank you for telling me." He shut the phone and put it back in his pocket. Pidgey bumps (goosebumps) ran up and down his arms and back, causing the hairs on the back of his neck to stand on end. He walked back into the diner expressionless, seemingly in a haze. The group was laughing at their table, the food having arrived. Ash sat down and looked at his food. "Ash, why arent you eating?" Brock asked, sticking a fry in his mouth. "I'm not hungry," He said slowly, keeping his eyes steadily on the plate set infront of him. The others of his to the side held no interest for him. "Told you!" May sneered, " Your eyes are bigger than your stomach!" "Whats wrong ash?" Max asked, the only one picking up on his odd mood other than Pikachu. Pikachu hopped over the table and sat in Ash's lap, patting his face. "Pika pi pichu?" "It's Misty," He murmered , obviously in shock. Brock and May stopped their laughter, "She's...She's dieing."
