1.My Quest Begins Note: This is my First Fic and I want to tell you all that I do not own Pokemon…. so go try and sue Nintendo instead ^.^ It was a dark and cold night, as I laid there on the floor of a cave, deep inside of a volcano, I was just staring at the ceiling of the dark passage trying to fall asleep. It had been days since I had fallen asleep. Ever since that day my life had changed…. "Scortch, wake up" said my mother, yelling while making me my breakfast. I waited for a few more minutes, until there was a piercing scream, "WAKE UP NOW" she yelled. I got and put on my usual black jeans and red T-shirt. I grabbed my three only Pokemon, Charmeleon, Lugia and the rare "Missing No.". Missin', as I call my bizarre, rare pokemon, was a gift from my father as he had passed away 2 years ago. I never really used Missin', nor Lugia. I only liked to battle with Charmeleon. Lugia was just my transportation around Lodoss, a small continent east of Kanto. I went down stairs into the gigantic kitchen of my family's mansion. You see, the reason my father got a "Missing No." was because he was the Vice-President of Silph Co.'s Lodoss Building. He made millions of dollars per month. I was going to embark on another journey into Lodoss's volcanic regions. It was one of the only places I hadn't explored. My parents always encouraged me to go to the limits…and this was it. I needed one more badge to enter the "Lodian League", my last Gym Leader was my brother who earned the nickname "Foxhound", for he used pokemon's speed ability to make them as fast as Fox's and powers them up to be strong like hounds. He was one of my closest friends until he left home and never came back. "Want some toast with your eggs hun?", my mother brought me back to reality. "Uh… no thanks" I replied ready to dart out the door to confront Fox. I got up and hugged my mother and ran off, assuring her "I'll be back when I'm done". I went down the streets to the train station and bought my ticket to "Fiery Fields", home of the "Burning Volcano Gym", where Foxhound trains. "All aboard!" screamed the conductor, as I got on the train. The train was luxurious and HUGE. It even had it's own pokemon stadium for battling. So, as usual, I got in there first and mopped the floor with their sorry butts. I won around 90148$ as prize money for defeating 9 other trainers, so that paid for my train ticket and much more. I didn't like taking money from my mom, so I try to do things on my own. And plus, my Charmeleon was close to evolving, only a bit more experience left. I was overexcited. I loved it when my Charmander evolved into this magnificent Charmeleon. Charmeleon was always special to me; I had a big passion for fire and fire types. When I went to see Prof.Pine for my starter pokemon, she told me that she was out of Charmanders. I decided to wait A WHOLE YEAR, until I finally got my Charmander. "We have arrived at the Fiery Fields, pleas disembark the train please", I was startled as the P.A declared that message. I went to get off of the train when I had tripped and dropped my pokeballs. I could only find Charmeleon and Missin', so now I had to go buy a new Lugia-Clone. As the train departed I headed straight into the gym. Right away Fox had started to mock me because he was older and stronger. "Still wearing your old rags are you?" he said. "You have been wearing those pieces of garbage for three straight years". I replied in anger "At least I have been trying to make a name for myself, unlike you who abandons his family!". After that he just went on with his business "this is a two pokemon match". I retorted with joy, "My pleasure, goooo Charmeleon". My red lizard like pokemon came out and began to shoot out flames. Fox had guessed my actions and sent out… "goooo Steelix". I had anticipated that and took out his Steelix with two words, "Charmeleon, Flamethrower". HUGE bursts of flame shoot straight into Steelix and knocked him out right away. Then it happened, Charmeleon started to evolve, he started to glow and change shape, until he became the image of my dreams, a huge Charizard. Fox had gotten really mad and called out his next pokemon, "goooo BLASTOISE!" the gigantic turtle flew out in a flash of red energy and stood ready for battle. "Blastoise, HYDROPUMP!" Fox had yelled. My Charizard just passé out right away as he was pummeled with two bursts of water. I decided that I would have to use Missin'. "Charizard return, goooo Missin'!" but then something I never expected happened. There was a big explosion as the two pokemon energy waves clashed into each other and sucked me into the tense heat… To be continued in "2.The transformation"
