2. The Transformation Note: I do not own Pokemon, but my name is Scortch so I own that…So go and try to sue Nintendo for there nice money that they have that can be spent… ^.^ I decided that I would have to use Missin'. "Charizard return, goooo Missin'!" but then something I never expected happened. There was a big explosion as the two pokemon energy waves clashed into each other and sucked me into the intense heat… The explosion was huge; there was a blinding flash of light. I could hear Fox screaming for his life. I had also started to scream, there was a painful heat going through my body, as if I was catching fire. I started shrieking, for I had never experience such "torture". But after a long period of time the heat was soothing, almost pleasant. I had realized that the flashes had also stopped; the only remains of the explosion were ashes and smoke. I had gotten up, feeling light headed, and my body was still burning, especially my behind. I had looked to my side only to see the most horrifying thing I could ever imagine... Fox was just lying there, DEAD. He had been slashed in two by one of the stalagmites as he went flying. I never though he would die, (N.A.: I like it that Fox died…now back to the story) he was my own brother. He had done so much; he owned two gyms, his (Psyleaf Gym) and my father's (Burning Volcano Gym). Just seeing him like that brought me to tears, but as soon as I started to cry it felt like little stabs near my eyes, as if the water was hurting me. I got up to retrieve my Pokemon when I saw the two pokeballs were empty and the pokemon were nowhere to be found. Also, while searching for my best friends, I noticed my clothes shredded on the rocky floor. I blushed and looked down, but all I could see was a whit stomach and red legs. I though that I was hallucinating and decided to leave. Just then the volcano started to shake, it was going to erupt. I was flung from the gym and thrown into a field of ashes and flames, yet the heat was enjoyable, I passed out from the intense pain of the impact. Days later I had awoken in a dark cavern, where I would meet my first true friend, Espeon. As soon as I motioned to get up he ran to me and told me to lie down. "Your wounds are too grave for you to get up right now," he said while applying a Max-Potion to my cuts and bruises. I was baffled to see Pokemon talk, let alone have such intelligence. "Oh and I forgot, my name's Espeon" he said in a meek and cheerful voice. "I'm Scortch", I... roared out??? What the... Anyway, I finally got up and went over to the small lake inside his little cavern home. It was cozy; there was a stove, a bed and a small lake for washing. I looked into the lake and saw something that put me into shock… a Charizard was looking back up at me! Espeon ran towards me seeing that I was out of bed, "Please get some rest, that explosion was quite a lot for your body to take". I asked him: "How do you know"? He retorted with a sly remark "I'm psychic", he smiled back. I then asked what had happened to me; he could look into my memories and tell me. "I do not know if you really want me to answer that," he said nervously. "Please... TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED!" "As you wish. If you didn't know, pokemon are stored as pure energy in your pokeballs. While you were recalling Charizard and sending out Missing No. at the same time, since Missing No. essentially is a computer glitch, able to corrupt any kind of structure, there was a conflict between their energy beams. That produced a chain reaction, which combined all the different cell structures and changed your DNA dramatically, turning you into a Charizard, but, oddly, keeping your human personality and skills. You're now a human trapped in the body of a Charizard." I backed away, in awe, not believing what I heard, but yet there was the proof right in front of me. My tail was burning on its end and my reflection showed the true figure of a Charizard. I wasn't human anymore. The panic was starting to take over my mind. What can I do? The only person who also knew what had happened had died. "And…" started the small canine Pokemon, "I saw you in the fiery fields and brought you back on a psychic bubble". I was astonished. "I thought only really powerful psychic pokemon could do that" I stated. " I know" he replied, "But, to be able to talk you also need great psychic powers, which is why I need to tell you something". I looked over with interest. "You see, after the failed cloning of a Mew, Professor Oak, Ivy and Elm had taken over the project from the now 'ancient history' Team Rocket. I was one of their genetically engineered beasts. Professor Oak had found a bug in the cloning process; the clones had an extremely bad case of brain damage. Which is why he chose a psychic pokemon to fix this. He took an Espeon of great intelligence and added a Mew's psychic abilities. With this he had created me, but for some reason, I can't remember what happened after that. I just woke up in a cave one day… this one, to be exact. I don't know why..." he said in somewhat of a sad look. I was sorry that I made him tell that story, for it had really upset him. He even started to cry. The stars had come out and we decided to rest, hoping for a better day, but Espeon just kept on tossing and turning around while trying to sleep in his bed. My body and mind were too tired, and in a matter of minutes I fell asleep. To be continued in "My Past"
