Chapter 3 - My Past Note: I do not own Pokemon, but my name is Scortch so I own that…So go and try to sue Nintendo for their nice money that they have that can be actually spent… ^.~ *Espeon's Past* I, Espeon, had just awoken in a jail cell. It was dark and foggy, for it had been built underground. Yet, I knew where I was, Oak Labs. It was an obvious sign, the huge "Oak Labs" painted on the wall across from me gave it away… But, what is 'Oak Labs'? I got up and headed for the door, it was a simple padlock what kept me in. I decided to use my powers, because being in this horrid place was something no one, not even an "animal" like me could handle. I head down the long narrow hall for what seemed to be an hour. Then finally I came to "the light at the end of the hall" I whispered. "Hahaha" said a weird, squeaky voice. "That's funny, it is like 'the light at the end of the tunnel'. I ignored the fool who just didn't stop laughing. I went up the stairs to stop half way and hear the voices of two men and a woman. The woman talked slowly and was quite beautiful. She had short purple hair and nice eyes. That vision was shattered as an AMAZINGLY old man walked by with the name 'OAK' on his lab coat. And the other…HE was the most evil of all people you would ever meet. He had a cruel nature under that warm and wide smile. He was talking about the 'clonemon'. - They are too dangerous - he yelled -. You don't know what kind of power these 'clone' Pokemon have. Oak interrupted him: - I like to call them 'Clonemon' and they are not dangerous, they are as normal as any other Pokemon. - Well… there is that Espeon… - the women started. - See Professor Oak, Professor Ivy agrees with me - stated the man. - Sorry Professor Elm, but I will not kill these pokemon! - It's about time for their inspections. - Proclaimed Ivy, as she walked towards the staircase. I began to run as fast as I could. After the long run I went into my cell and relocked it. Ivy came by two hours later and woke me up from my rest. And, knowing I was psychic, asked if I could talk in her language. "Y….ye….yes" - I replied trying as hard as I could. She asked simple questions and did a full physical examination then asked one last question… - Do you know why you are here? - No... so.. sorry. - I answered the best I could. - Good. - Ivy retorted. I fell asleep after the interrogation. Later, I woke up, but this time I was in an arena. "Sir, the test subject is awake," said a computer voice. "What is going on?" I demanded. Oak came out of the shadows and explained. "We are testing your strengths and weaknesses". "What?!" I yelled, but suddenly a special yellow and green pokeball came out of an opening in the floor. The computer activated again "Go Blastoise". A giant Blue turtle- like pokemon came out. "Blass". "Blastoise, Hydro Pump" were the computer's only words. He tried barraged me with water, but I didn't even move at all. Professor Oak was astounded. "Blastoise, return" said the computer. "That was almost our strongest pokemon and it's strongest attack…" the scientist thought. "DextronX, send out our strongest Pokemon!" he commanded. The computer replied with "Go Lugia". The legendary giant bird of the sea came out and yelled its name "Lugia!". I decided to take the initiative this time. All I did was shoot out a Psybeam at him and, surprisingly enough, the legendary beast just fell to the ground. "What in the world!?" - Oak just couldn't believe it, he was frozen. I took the chance to run out of this mad place. "STOP THAT POKEMON!" yelled Oak. "DextronX,RED ALERT LEVEL NOW!". "Understood". The alarm went off as I ran through the maze of halls. I finally found an exit, as the doors were closing, and if it wasn't for my ability attack I wouldn't have made it. While I was running desperately, almost out of breath and energy, to find a good place to hide and rest, I fell down a cliff. I passed out, waking up in this place. ************************************************************************ From then on Espeon had lost all memory of what happened in his past, except for his dreams. He turned the cave he landed in into his home, waiting for his destiny.
