It's Relative-part one "Ash, how much longer?" MIsty asked for about the thirtyith time on the last five minutes. "I told you it was about half a days walk back to Pallet. You could have driven with Brock ya know." Ash answered, in a slightly annoyed voice. Misty silently wished she had. Brock sprained his ankle and decided to rent a car to get back to Pallet from New Bark Town. He took all the pokemon too. Leaving Ash and Misty, alone together. If Ash wasn't in such a dam rush.' She thought. As the duo walked along the path, they noticed the sky was begining to darken. Ash let out a loud sigh, he knew they were going to have to stop and wait out the storm. He looked at his watch. It was eight in the evening. They had left New Bark Town at noon. "Guess my time table was off." he idly mused. "Did you say something Ash?" Misty asked, turning to him. "No, but I think maybe we should set up camp. it's getting dark and it looks like it's going to rain." Misty agreed and they set about making camp. Only then did Ash realize what was missing. "Ahhhhh crap." He said "What now?" Misty asked, turning her attention away from setting up her tent. "I left most of my stuff with Brock." Ash said. Misty groaned. He could be so dense it was maddening. "What?" "I didn't think we'd be camping so I left my sleeping bag and tent with Brock" Ash was now looking down at his feet. He didn't want to face Misty as she lectured him about how dumb he was. However he lucked out, because Misty was quite tired. "Well you can share my tent, it's big enough." Ash shot up. He ran over and hugged Misty. "Oh thank you, thank you, thank you." Ash said. "No problem Ash." Misty said as Ash released her. "Just don't try anything funny." Ash wasn't sure at what she was hinting at. "Ok, no funny stuff." Ash smiled at Misty. They both went into the tent and drifted off into sleep. "So Greg, how long have you been here?" Brock asked the new face in the Ketchum household. "Well I came to stay with Aunt D. My parents had to go to a U.N. security coucil meeting in New York." The boy answered. "Oh, that's cool. Owwww" Brock's next question was cut off due to the sharp pain, in his ankle. "You ok Brock?" Greg asked walking over to the breeder. "My ankle, it sprained it before I came here. That's why I drove." "Did you ice it? To keep the swelling down?" Greg asked, inspecting Brock's exposed ankle. "Yeah, I iced it the whole way here. It just gets tight, if i sit for too long. I have had these before, no big deal." "How did you do it before?" "Basketball. I played in high school, I was pretty good." Brock sadi, a little hint of ego creeping into his voice. "You played ball? Where?" "Pewter City High. Kanto Champions, '97" "Oh yeah, I remember now. You hit those free throws to force overtime. It was a hell of a game. To bad we lost." Brock shook his head. That's where he had seen this kid before. "You mean..." "Yup, I was the stupid freshman who fouled you. I knew you looked fammiliar." Their chat was intterupted by Mrs. ketchum calling them to dinner. Greg helped Brock into the kitchen, where they continued talking shop all throughout dinner. Misty was the first to wake up in the morning. She glanced down at her watch. It was eight in the morning. She then noticed a slight pressure on her right side. She turned her head to see that Ash had gotten quite close over night and had his arm around her. She quickly pushed his arm off, and whacked him on the head. Waking him up from his deep sleep. "ASH KETCHUM I SAID NO FUNNY STUFF!!!!!" She screamed. "Wha..what? Misty what's wrong?" Ash said groggily. "You had..with your..and it...." Misty couldn't quite seem to get the words out. "Misty relax. Breathe. Now, think of the words before you say them." Ash said, utterly confused as to why he was awoken to Misty's screams. "I woke up and you had your arm wrapped around me, like I was your personal teddy bear." Misty said as the two exited the tent. Actually Misty backed Ash out of the tent staring very threatiningly at him. "Oh is that it?" Ash said stretching. "Sorry, when I sleep i usually have an extra pillow or something to hold onto. I didn't mean anything by it." Ash watched as Misty's attitude changed. "Oh, geez I'm sorry Ash. It's just, I've never slept with a guy" Ash got a goofy grin on his face. "Not like that. It was a little weird waking up with your arm wrapped around me." "Well I promise next time we sleep together." Ash said sticking his tounge out at Misty. "Well that's good because...Hey don't you get any ideas. i only did this because if I showed up without you with me I wouldn't be able to explain." Misty noticed Ash had begun laughing. Misty walked over and started to smack him on the arm, repeatedly. "Ok ok ok. I'm sorry. I was only joking." Ash said between fits of laughter. "Now let's pack and get going." Once Ash had stopped laughing, he and Misty packed up and headed off once again for Pallet. "I swear will get there before dinner this time." ash said as they walked along. ******************* Well that was part one. I honestly don't know how long this will go on. I'm bored and figured "I think I'll write a story invoving me, as Ash's cousin." Not to terribly original, but hey, I'm bored. Brock is about 23 Ash is 19 Misty is 20. Greg is 20 That's about it. It's a little Alternate reality. I've just messed with the charecters backstory's a little. Until next I write.... I hope have enjoyed the show. Your Author -Sergent Pepper
