It's Relative-part two Ash and Misty finally managed to get back to Pallet, without getting lost. When they get home Ash is surprised to see his cousin, Greg, is also there. After a reunion, and introductions, Ash and Greg go off to catch up at a local diner. This particular diner is the diner of choice of the second most prominent person in Pallet, Gary Oak. Greg decided to sit in the back. What Greg didn't know was that the booth he chose was that of Gary Oak. it was his special booth where he always sat. "Ummm Greg, we can't sit here." Ash said nervously. "Why not?" Greg asked, looking up from his menu. Ash was about to answer when a new voice entered the conversatin, answering for Ash. "Because it's my booth." A voice that could only be Gary Oak said. Greg looked up from his menu again "I don't see your name on it." Greg said, this got Gary mad. No one in this town ever talked back to him. Gary grabbed Greg by the collar and pulled him up. "Look loser, this is my booth. I'm the only one who sits here ever, got it?" Greg got free of Gary's grip and fixed his shirt. Ash tried to get Greg to calm down, but it didn't work. Greg, who was three inches and countless pounds heavier than Gary, was very upset. "Look Gerry, Gary, whatever. I don't like being pushed around. Especially by little punks like you. So why dont you just go off and sit someplace else, you can have you precious booth back when I'm done with it." Gary backed down and began to laugh. Then, without warning, he reeled back and pucnhed Greg in the face. Then he walked out, before Greg could react. "That bitch." Greg said, holding this right eye. Ash stood up and held Greg's arm. Keeping the latter from giving chace, and potentially killing Gary. Ash calmed his cousin down, then they decided to go back to Ash's for lunch, and a little ice for his eye. "So Misty. How was you little walk home with Ash?" Brock asked. "Fine, why do you ask?" "Well I bet you had to share a tent, huh?" Brock chuckled to himself. "Look, nothing happened. There is nothing between us." "Suuuure." "I'm serious. Me and Ash discussed this on the walk. We realised how we were to much like brother and sister to be anything else." Misty answered getting up from the couch. "Im going to shower" With that, Misty left the room, and went upstairs. Leving Brock in utter confusion. He, and everyone else, thought those two would end up together. Ash and Greg arrived home about half an hour. Greg wanted to stop to the police station. However, they refused to do anything. Gary Oak was too well liked and it was Greg's word against his. This got Greg upset and Ash spent the whole walk calming him down. He managed to work him to a simmer. Ash knew full well that the slightest thing would set him off. The rest of the day went by quickly. Once dinner rolled around it was a very quiet affair. Ash told eveyone what had happened at the diner. He could see Greg growing more outraged at every minute he continued. "Why do pepole put up with that arrogant little punk? What makes him so dam great.?" Greg said angrily. "Well he is the current Pokemon League champion." Misty said. "So what, does that make him better than the rest of us? He needs to be knocked down a few pegs." With that Greg got up from the table, muttering to himself. "What's wrong with him?" Misty asked. "He's a little upset, can't you tell." Brock said. "He obviously can't stand people like Gary." Brock took a sip of coffee and continued."From what I've noticed, by talking to him, he is very humble. We talked for a while, about his basketball carrer. I told him how good he was, and he was always like ÔIt's not me, it's the team.' all sorts of stuff." "Well he seemed upset, really upset. I'll go talk to him.' Ash began to get up, but Misty grabbed his arm. "I'll talk to him. I'm the one who upset him." Misty said, getting up from her chair. "Well he is probably on the roof. Whenever he get's upset he finds the nearest roof and goes to think."Ash said shrugging. "It's weird, but I guess it works." ******** Misty made her way to the attic and out the nearest window. Just as ash had said, Greg was sitting staring off into the night. She walked over to him, slowly. She didn't want to fall, or cause him to by startling him. She sat down next to him and was about to speak, but he beat her to it. "It's a beutiful night, isn't it?" He said, not so much to her, but just outloud. "Umm yeah." Misty said. "Look, I'm sorry if I upset you earlier." "It wasn't your fault. it's just people like him bug the hell out of me."Greg said, turning to face Misty. "People that act that they are better than you, just because of their popularity. You should have seen it. He punched me than ran. NO one did a thing, they just stared as he ran out. Like they are &mesmorized by him." "Yeah, he's is an arrogant jerk. The people in this town let him get away with murder. One because he is the current league champion., and two because he is the grandson of Professor Oak." Misty said. "Even Professor Oak can't stand his attitude. "Than why doesn't he do something?" Greg said getting upset. "It's no this place to. Besides it's better for someone else to do it. Hell Professor Oak has tried, but Gary is to cocky for his own good." Misty saw Greg was staring off into space again. "Well I'm going to knock him down a few pegs." Well what do ya think? I know it's a little short, but it will probably be longer in the next chapter.
