“Lance! I got tickets to the new Three Lights concert!”

The redhead sighed as he glanced up from his desk. “Oh?”

“I thought you’d be excited!”

“Red, I don’t follow boy bands.” He said, signing another form as he began to skim through the report on Cinnabar’s Volcanic Eruption. He had to thank Charlotte for faking that… otherwise; the real explanation would not be kinder.

They had discovered their enemy’s stronghold located in Cinnabar’s Gym System itself. A crazy Blaine being possessed by the evil spirit of an alien from galaxies away might be hard for some to believe, but considering how strange life already was, Red and Lance and Charlotte had accepted it.

Lugia, Red had almost died. When he had seen the Sword emerge from her chest, and the Mirror from his own, he might have died also, but Charlotte had come along, Pluto… the last of the Outer Soldiers…

And the power of Time had saved them all.

Red glanced at the documents, before her smile faltered slightly. “I…”

“What is it, darling?”

“I’m sorry.” With that, Red threw herself into Lance’s arms. “If you hadn’t been trying to protect me, you wouldn’t have almost died!”

“It’s all right.” He soothed, and stroked her hair. “And I do appreciate that you’re trying to cheer me up after that near death experience, but really… I’m just glad you’re still alive.” * Wife… *

She nodded, and then they kissed.

Outside, Charlotte smiled.
