“You were flirting with her!” Red accused.

Her husband turned to look at her, expression plainly written on his features. “Who and what are you talking about?”

“The girl you were playing Pokemon Paradise against in the arcade!” She stabbed a finger into his chest. “You had that look in your eyes! I knew it!”

            Lance sighed. “Red-chan…”

She put her hands on her hips. “I knew you’d show your true colors sooner or later.” With that, she stamped off.

He wisely did not follow, knowing that Red would need time to calm down. True, he had been nice to Ashline – really, the girl was like a bubblier version of Red, except she dressed more like a little girl.

            But he loved Red…

Ash sighed dreamily as she saw the cute guy sit down at a coffee shop alone. She wanted to go talk to him, but then again… what if he already had a girlfriend?

            Well, it couldn’t hurt, right?”

She walked in, and he looked up, smiling.

“I never got your name…” She blushed.

“Lance Dragyn.” He replied carelessly, but she almost dropped her cup of tea. He was… “You’re the Pokemon League Champion?”

“No, I’m not the Champion.” Lance chuckled, “I’m only Leader of the Elite Four.”

“Oh! That’s why you look familiar! I’ve seen you on television before, battling…” Her voice became quite breathless, and he sighed mentally, sensing that she was into fangirl mode already.

            * Another one… *

Lance listened to her rant as he finished her blueberry cheesecake and coffee, and was just planning to leave when he heard a scream. A familiar feeling skittered in his mind, and he sighed.

It seemed that the Death Busters were not giving up so easily…

He ducked into an alleyway and called Red to inform her of the situation, before shifting into his familiar attire and becoming Neptune. Cherry blossoms drifted across the daimon’s path as it paused.

So, it had extracted the heart crystal from the target already. That made things simpler…

His Atlantis Tide attack slammed into the monster, destroying it, as he jumped down and inspected the heart crystal.

            No….

There was no Talisman hidden inside…

Without another word, he left the fallen girl, after having returned the Heart Crystal, and flew off.

Yet another wasted attempt! When would they finally find the Talismans necessary to call the Holy Grail?

He was becoming swiftly bored of these games.

When Sailor Moon arrived on scene seconds later, there was no sign of the mysterious new… enemy? Or could it possibly have been an ally?

            “Who was that?”

            There was no reply.

She had to make tracks before the victim woke up. Maybe it was time to ask the other Senshi if they had noticed anything.

            Hmm…

Red sighed as she found Lance sitting in a tree outside the Plateau, watching the sky. She coughed to get his attention.

He looked at her, wary even through the glamour of his transformation.

“I’m sorry.”

Lance folded his wings as his lover scooted next to him. “Well, it’s partly my fault. I didn’t think it would hurt you so much.”

Did she think he would leave her? He thought far more of his wedding-vows than that! And he would swear that the flirting had been innocent, truly he had.

He would not betray his wife.

“B-But… she looks like me!” Red frowned. * And that’s kind of creepy… *

“Doesn’t she,” He demurred. * Please don’t be angry any more. I only love you. *

“And… maybe if I were more feminine, then… you would like me better-.” She stopped talking as Lance pulled her into a hug, and she sighed, resting her own black feathered wings easily against her back.

“I am sorry.” He repeated, and then she kissed him, before cuddling into his chest. She closed her eyes, feeling more peaceful now.

“I know.” Red threatened. “But I’ll still be expecting you to make it up to me tonight.” She paused. “I forgive you, though.”

Lance would never, ever leave her. She just needed some reassurance.

For a long time, they just sat there, in each other’s arms, watching the sunset. Then, the wind stirred, and they looked at each other.

            “Another one…”

            “Let’s go.”

More fluff! Sailor Moon-esque, yes… and sometime, Sailor Moon will meet the Outers…

Though yeah, Ashline’s a slut! And Lance changes gender when he transforms, but since he still thinks of himself as male, I’ll often use the male pronouns regardless.
