Erika hummed as she tended to her plants. The bright flowers thrived in the clay pots on her windowsills. Several were lopsided, but bulged with dirt and sweet smelling herbs. Recently, Red had decided to help her out by taking pottery lessons. Though his efforts were childish and crude, she was honored that her boyfriend had taken such an interest in the horticultural arts she herself loved.

“Erika!” Red ran upstairs with Jigglypuff on his shoulders, his hands smeared with clay. He thrust a lopsided reddish urn at her. “I made this in pottery class today! The instructor said that I’m getting better!”

Carved into the clay was a rude flower.

Erika smiled. “Thank you, Red.”

She placed it on the sill to dry, while Red went to wash his hands. Jigglypuff crooned as she watched them. Master’s new Mate was nice. Plus, she had a nice aroma.

They hummed as Erika finished with her flowers and then Red helped her make sandwiches for dinner, slicing the tomatoes and cucumbers while she toasted bread and cheese. It was idyllic.

Red bit into his sandwich, grinning, as Erika chuckled lightly.

Now that he had achieved his goal as Champion, he could enjoy life, and he enjoyed it with Erika very much.

I like this pairing a lot. The Zensho manga is adorable and so much better than Magical Pokemon Adventures!
