Red clasps the book to his chest, tracing his fingers over the white leather, the golden pikachu-shaped clasp on the front and the winged moon the back. He ignores the stares coming from the old man running the junk shop, who has no idea what Red just paid five hundred pokeyen for. This book is worth so much more than that…

This was the book containing his Cards; his wonderful, precious, pokemon turned Ash Cards that had been lost lifetimes ago. Now, they were found, and he felt the spirits inside connect with his, and he ran warm fingertips over the cover.

They were a treasure beyond reckoning, and he happily danced around, not caring what other people thought.

He had found his most precious pokemon again!
