He’s soaked, of course, but she doesn’t care as she hugs him tightly. She can vaguely see Kyogre and Groudon in the distance, watching as the Red and Blue orbs rise into the sky and shatter into a thousand sparkling shards of diamond dust, but it doesn’t matter. The storms that almost destroyed the world are over, and the rain has stopped, and the water getting her outfit wet is nothing compared to the fact that Ash is alive!

May’s happy, and she almost – almost kisses him, before catching herself. It’s not proper yet, and she’s supposed to not think these things, but all the same, she’s glad he’s alive!

Ash just scratches the back of his head sheepishly while Pikachu shakes himself dry, and doesn’t understand a thing.
