“Ouch!” Red yelped.

“I’m sorry, Red.” The Nurse Joy said, packing up her bag. “But an injection is the only way of curing this viral infection right now.”

Red gulped, and his mom tucked him back under the covers.

“Thank you for coming, Nurse Joy.” She said. “We were afraid… since we don’t have a car, and it’s quite a distance to walk to Viridian…”

The Nurse Joy smiled and waved off their thanks, before walking out of the door and away.

“It’s all right, Nakamura-san. These things happen.” She smiled. “Remember to bring Red for a checkup before he goes journeying, all right?”

“All right.” Red’s mom said, waving goodbye as the Nurse Joy released her Pidgeot and flew back to her home Center.
