There’s something about Ash. He’s different. Todd has seen lots of trainers – he is a famous pokemon photographer after all – and he’s shot lots of pictures, but Ash just defies convention. Even in the negatives he’s bright and shiny and real, the epitome of perfection. Todd sighs. Ash really is the perfect subject.

He’s seen Ash a few times ever since they first met after the affair with Aerodactyl, but the trainer doesn’t diminish with time. Perhaps his black hair and brown eyes are common. He doesn’t do human portraits much, so he doesn’t know.

But it’s not really Ash’s looks, but the way he acts, that makes the photographer admire him. Ash is brave, and he never puts his friends in danger, and he’s so self-sacrificial! He did a little digging and found out what happened in the Orange Islands, and he’s amazed that someone would put their life on the line for so many others.

Unfortunately, Ash is clueless, and Todd’s not sure he should admit that he might feel more than friendship. He doesn’t doubt that others like Ash too… He’s probably got a lot of competition.

He sighs, and puts another roll of film in the camera. Maybe the Pallet trainer will be at the Silver Conference, and he can see him again.

Until then… he has his pictures.

I found Todd a really irritating character… so this is one-sided.
