Gary shot a look at Ash. “Why did I ever bother to hook up with you?”

Brown eyes filled with tears. Sometimes, he wondered too. Gary could be nice once in a blue moon, but he was still an arrogant, condescending jerk!

Ash sullenly left the house, leaving Gary to his fascinating documentary on Kecleon. The other Pallet trainer shrugged.

Honestly, Ash was such a drama queen at times!

“Why…” Ash whispered, as he looked up at the moon. He shivered. It was chilly, and he wasn’t wearing his league jacket. Was this relationship a bad idea? Should they go back to being rivals?

He hadn’t even whined a lot!

Maybe it was better to suffer boredom in silence, but a stagnant love was terrible.

He scrubbed at his eyes and scowled.
