“Did you know,” Lance said, and his voice was a chill whisper, “That Red doesn’t really love you?”
“Y-You’re lying!” Yellow gasped. “I trust Red! He would never betray me!”
“Is that so…” The Dragon Master purred. “Then can you explain why he’s never home…and why he hasn’t touched you since your child was conceived?”
Yellow clutched baby Orange to her chest more tightly. “He’s busy doing work for the League! I know he is! And he doesn’t want to hurt me!”
“Such a pity.” The man stood, his dark cape rustling behind him. “I’m only telling you this for your own good, you know. Give it up. Red will never love you the way you want him to, so you should quit stifling him.”
“I’m not stifling him! I know he loves me! We’re married!”
Lance did not reply, and Yellow heard the sound of a pokemon being released and then the wing beats as Aerodactyl carried him away. But no matter how hard she tried to banish his words, they wouldn’t leave…
What if Red really was cheating on her? If so, with who…?
“Why did you tell her?” Red asked, settling his wings behind his back.
Lance smirked. “I thought she deserved some advance warning.” He purred. “After all, the time for guardianship will begin very soon….”
Red nodded slowly. “The transformations have almost finalized. Soon I may be unable to take human form…”
“Does it matter?” Lance asked.
Red smirked, as Lance leaned over and kissed him. “No.”
