“Lance…”

The Dragon Master glanced at the Champion with a bemused expression. “What is it?” He asked softly.

“This movie is boring… and I want her to put her clothes back on.” Red muttered. “Can we leave now?”

Lance chuckled. “Of course we can.” He and Red got up and edged their way out of the aisle, ignoring the dirty looks from various mini-skirted girls and their boyfriends. Outside, Red went into the bathroom and splashed water on his oddly hot face, before he dried his hands and face with a paper towel. Lance bought him a blueberry icee and calmly steered him outside, where they found a bench to sit on.

Red sipped at his icee and sighed. “I didn’t like it.”

“I can see that.” Lance shrugged. “Truth be told, I did not like it either.”

“I thought the girl was stupid.” Red took another sip of his icee. “I mean, how did she know she loved him? It was so sudden! I mean…”

“Love at first sight maybe?”

“Hmph. I don’t think sex is love.” Red said primly. Lance raised his eyebrows but said nothing, watching the boy.

After a few minutes of silence, Red peered at the Dragon Master quizzically. “Did you like it?”

“Honestly, it was too sappy for my taste.” Lance shuddered. “I would rather not see romance at all.”

“That’s interesting.” Red climbed onto Lance’s lap, earning a startled look from the older teen. “Can I kiss you?”

“Why?”

“Because if they can kiss, we can too, right? I like you more than Rose loves what’s his face.”

“…Sure.” Lance said, after a moment.

Red grinned brightly, and leaned over, kissing the surprised Dragon Master on the lips. Strangely enough, it felt nice.

Lance tasted blueberries, mostly, and he felt the boy’s lips part beneath his as he kissed him back, properly. They broke for air, both flushed.

“Wow.” Red breathed. “That felt really nice. No wonder people like kissing in movies so much.”

“Indeed.” Lance replied, feeling slightly light-headed himself. He had an adorable child in his lap and his hormones were screaming at him. He sighed as he eased Red off, causing a surprised expression to cross the Champion’s face.

“Come on. We should head back to the Plateau.”

“Oh, okay!”

A few minute passed before Dragonite descended, dropping them off. Red looked a bit shy. “Lance?”

“Yes?”

“Does this mean you’re my boyfriend now?” Red asked timidly.

“If you want me to be.”

“I do!” Red hugged Lance tightly. “And… um, we don’t have to take our clothes off, do we?”

“Not unless you want to.” Lance reassured him.

“Oh good.” Red sighed in relief. “I just wanted to know. But the kissing was fun.”

Lance just grinned, and said no more as he hugged Red tightly.
