All couples fight, so she shouldn’t be worried, but she’s still listening in on them, because she’s not sure what to do. He’s screaming that she’s a whore, that he loved her but that wasn’t enough was it, and he had to wait until his little boy got cancer to find out that she whored herself out to his once-upon-a-time best friend.

And Misty’s crying, but there’s nothing she can say to deny it. I didn’t mean to, she wants to say. I was lonely, and you were off training, and it just happened and neither of us could stop.

And Ash sees from her expression that it didn’t stop with one child, oh no, that even now, she might be creeping off to the house next door at night and it makes him so mad. He loved her, but does she love him?

Delia wipes her eyes, and wishes she didn’t have to listen. She wishes that Misty had been faithful, but it’s too late now.

It’s not a happy marriage, it never was. They married too young and hot passion melts away really quickly. They fought over the smallest things, and she had her trusty mallet and he’d vanish for months, but now…

It’s truly broken.
