Red stood naked in front of his mirror, trying to see if he had gained any weight. He peered quizzically at a patch of skin, before resolutely heading for the scale. To his immense relief, there was only a pound of gain.

“Oh good. I can work that off…”

Just then, Lance walked into the bathroom. He stopped short at the sight of his lover. “What are you doing?”

“L-Lance!” The Champion blushed, turning a cherry color.

“Were you worried about getting fat again?”

The boy nodded, embarrassed.

“Silly.” Lance hugged him tightly. “You’re perfectly slender. You could gain a few pounds and not worry. You’re not some huge, overweight cow, after all.”

“Really?”

“Really.” The Dragon Master reassured him. “I think you’re beautiful.”

He lowered his eyes to the floor, sure that he was turning scarlet all over. Lance smiled, as he put an arm around Red’s shoulders and kissing him.

“Just the way you are.”

“Okay.” He smiled. He knew, but it was always nice to hear Lance say it again. Always.
