Red was unhappy. He was very, very unhappy. For some reason, Yellow had gotten the brilliant idea of chaining the two of them together with some of her Butterfree’s silk thread. Of all the idiotic things to do! He closed his eyes and tried to ignore her persistent tugging. He was not moving from his position in front of the computer. There was an article on water-types he wanted to finish reading, and if she’d just get rid of the damned thread he wouldn’t have to go to the bathroom with her!

Somehow, he wondered vaguely if this was the ugly Lolita’s way of seducing him. If it was, he was not going to go along with it! She wasn’t going to be peeking at him any time soon that was for sure!

“Red…”

Now she was whining. The Pallet Trainer jammed his cap more securely over his ears, and pretended to be asleep. When she tried to lean over him and kiss him though, he lost it.

“Get your hands off me! I’m not interested in you as a friend, much less romantically!” He snapped. With one jerk, he pushed her away as hard as he could and then fumbled for his poke belt, releasing his Aeroy, who happily cut the thread.

Pika gave him a reproachful look, but he ignored it. What the two Pikachus got up to was none of his business, but if the rat wanted to match-make him with Yellow, no way!

He ignored her tears and locked himself in his room. Why couldn’t he have a decent girlfriend?
