“Magic?” Lance laughed. “Red, you of all people should know that magic doesn’t really exist.”

“It doesn’t?” Red asked. “But…”

Lance nodded, shrugging. “Why would you believe in magic, Red? Even though pokémon are impressive, whatever potion you bought from Old Man Shuckle is hardly likely to work.”

Red colored, before he shook his head. “How did you know?”

“You’re not the first person who has tried putting love potions in my drinks.” Lance said matter-of-factly. Red colored.

“I see…”

“… It was a love potion, right?”

“Mm…” Red looked down as pink tinted his cheeks. “I’m sorry, Lance. I didn’t actually… I mean… I wanted to tell you, but…”

“But you thought I would say no?” Lance asked. “That’s foolish of you.”

Red blinked, and that was when Lance pulled him into a kiss.

“Silly Champion. You don’t need love potions for me to love you. I already do.”

“Aa…” Red nodded, and then didn’t say any more.
