            “He’s just a character in a game, Red.” Green sighed. “He’s not real. We both know that. Come on, you’ve been playing for the last two hours. I’m bored.”

            Red did not answer; still busy staring at the character on the screen. The ferocious yellow beast crumpled as his knight avatar thrust its sword deep into the foul creature's chest. Blood spewed from a large wound.

            The words “Level Up!” flashed on screen, as Red cheered.

            “Yatta!”

            “Red, if you’re just going to stare at the computer all day, I’m going to go train my pokemon.”

            “All right.” Red said, barely looking up from the screen. Green groaned. It was his idea to buy Red this game anyway, but was it really that addicting? He didn’t see any sense in spending hours in front of a computer slashing ugly monsters, but to each their own…

 

            Red stared, fascinated, as he shifted the screen to high detail. A cocky smile, a shock of dark red hair, and impish golden eyes met his as he sighed.

            It was such a pity Lance was only a cartoon character…

            It didn’t stop him from kissing the screen though, and for a moment, he could have sworn the picture winked.

            Then his brain kicked back into gear, and Red reached for the phone to dial his psychiatrist.
