Lance sneezed as Red helpfully handed him the box of tissues. “What was the chance that both of us would be sick?” He asked, sniffling.

Red privately agreed, though he was glad that his fever had ebbed. “Well, it is rather distressing. We’re not supposed to leave our rooms – they’re afraid that whatever we have is contagious.”

“If you mean the death flu that’s wiping out the population in Cosmos, I can see why they’re worried.”

“I feel perfectly fine though.” Red defended. “Would you like me to get you some water or something?”

            “Tea would be nice.”

            “All right.”

Red went to the door, only to find a tray waiting with a thermos of chicken noodle soup and a short note from Lorelei.

            Get well soon!

Lance chuckled when Red returned. “I suppose they’re playing by the rules too.”

“Better safe than sorry, and Grandmother Agatha makes excellent chickens soup.”

            Red gaped at him. “Grandmother?”

“Well, yes. Ah, you didn’t know? Karen and I are cousins too, so that means Green is also...”

“Learn something new every day.” Red murmured, dishing out soup for both of them. Plump yellow egg noodles floated amidst bits of carrot and chicken, and the steam was rather comforting.

They sipped quietly, and for the moment, simply enjoyed the relative peace in a busy schedule.

Perhaps this cold had some advantages after all. Now that they were sick, there would be no crazy petitioners, though the security guards had evicted more than ten fangirls who were determined to nurse either the Dragon Master or the Champion back to health with suspicious looking phials of powder and colored water.

Lance flicked a glance at Red, who beamed back at him.

            Peace and quiet at last!

Red: No romance?
Phantomness: More friendship this one, though I could imply there’s a relationship

Lance: *Stifles a yawn*

Phantomness: EEK! CHEM! *Dies* and no, it’s not shonen-ai unless you’re squinting VERY hard. They could be just friends!
