“Our latest model, sir.” The salesman bowed low. Lance cast a glance at the voluptuous female figure and shook his head.

“No, she won’t do at all.”

“But sir!” The man almost wailed. He was perfectly entitled to such behavior though, as he had been showing the President of Dragonite Co. through the warehouse for several hours in succession. He mopped at his brow with a thick piece of acetate silk. “These are our highest quality persocoms!”

“… I explicitly stated when I came here that I was interested in something special.” Lance said. “Now then, do you presume to waste my time further? It is bad enough that you have no more Lorelei and Agatha models, but…”

The salesman caught his implied threat, and a crafty smile curved his lips. “Well sir, there is one model you might be interested in…”

“Then what are you wasting my time for?” They walked towards one of the smaller rooms. Inside, several white-coated technicians busily typed and made notes.

Lance studied the figure. Tanned skin, not too tall – shorter than he was, but that was not a problem – and his breath caught. Lovely.

            “I’ll take him.”

“All right. He’s still experimental, but if you’ll just wait a few more days, we’ll be completed with the last touch-ups.”

“How much is he?” Lance asked, credit card already in hand.

            “Fifty thousand credits.”

            “I’ll take him.”

            “Very well…”

Three days later, it was delivered, wrapped up in a dark red ribbon. He smiled as he pressed the ‘on’ switch located in the cute ears.

Red eyes opened as the machine whirred to life. “Hello.”

“Hello, Red.” Lance smirked. “It’s nice to see you again.”

Red looked down at himself as Lance recited off the important data, before he shook his head.

“I never thought I’d come to life as a computer.”

“Nor did I, but what does it matter? We are together again.”

            “Coincidence?”

“Perhaps.” Lance pulled him into a kiss. “But does it matter?”

            No.

Y’know, these are great prompts for starting series. Someday, I may go back through and write back stories for all these drabbles
