Red and Lance sat underneath a tree, watching flowers rain down from above. They were soft with pretty white petals.

“What kinds of flower are these?” Red asked.

Lance smiled. “Chestnut buds.”

“They’re pretty.”

“Not as pretty as you are.” Lance grinned. Red flushed.

“I’m not a girl, Lance! Why are you comparing me to a flower?”

“Oh?” Lance blinked for a second. “Ah, then you are a little chestnut, all prickly green and hard.”

Red put his hands on his hips and whacked Lance on the shoulder. “That’s even farther off!”

Lance smirked as his fingers tightened, and Red gasped. “You were saying?”

“N-Never mind.” Red flushed, his breathing suddenly coming in gasps. “Just… don’t stop.”

Lance grinned and kissed him lightly on the nose. “Kawaii.”

And to that, Red could not argue.
