Erika sipped her tea as she regarded her cousin calmly. “You seem rather distressed, Red.”

Red shook his head. “I suppose its just nerves.”

“Are you worried? It is your anniversary – I had thought you would be excited.”

Red set his porcelain cup down, his hand trembling so much that scalding tea sloshed over his hand. “I don’t know what to give him.”

“… I would think it was obvious.” She said.

Red blinked, when suddenly, his eyes widened as Erika slid off her hair – which was really a wig. Tumbling red locks fell about her face.

“L-Lance…!”

“Don’t you understand yet? I don’t need any fancy gifts. The fact that you are still with me, and still faithful, is enough.”

Red threw himself into Lance’s arms and kissed him desperately, pearly tears trickling down his cheeks. “Thank you.” He whispered.

The weight of Lance’s arms around his waist supporting him was answer enough.
