Red groaned as he glanced outside. Of course, the heat wave sweeping over Kanto was unforgettable, but from his current location inside an igloo built by his faithful Poliwrath, he wasn’t feeling too worried yet.

Lance poked his head inside. “Is this invitation only?”

“Not at all.” Red grinned. It was small, but serviceable, and he grinned as Lance scooted in next to him. “Lance, why are you still wearing all those layers? If you’re hot, you can just…” He himself was only wearing shorts.

“Strip down?” Lance raised an eyebrow. “I would have thought that the answer was obvious, Red.”

            “Mm?”

Lance sighed. “There is one small matter, such as the fact that my gender would be easily discernable…”

Red flushed. It was so easy to forget that Lance was a girl sometimes. She didn’t act prissy and giggly – well, Lorelei didn’t either, but they were Elite and that was different!

“Anyways, I’m going to Seafoam. Want to come?”

            “Sure!”

At Seafoam, Lance tossed off her bodysuit and undid her bindings, revealing that she had come prepared and was wearing a bikini. Red stared for a moment, before he shook his head.

            “Shall we?” His girlfriend grinned.

The water was deliciously cool, and they sighed.

“Let’s stay here until the heat wave blows over.”

            “I have no objections…”
And he kissed her just to make his intentions clear. She smirked at him.
