“Who are you?” Red asked. “Why are you following me?”

There was no answer. Frustrated, the Champion reached for his poke belt, releasing his Aerodactyl. “Aeroy, use your Screech Attack!” It would be useful for echolocation, but as Aeroy began to screech, it was cut off by another sound.

            …Another Aerodactyl?

The rider landed, dressed in night-black so that he was barely visible in the dark. If not for the bright color of his hair, Red would have missed him completely. He strained his eyes, but could not tell the rider’s identity.

Aeroy cocked his head to the side quizzically, before he crooned a welcome.

Faint laughter came from the other, as he jumped off and walked closer. Red blinked, as he finally saw the man’s face. Pale skin, bright golden eyes, and long blood-red hair like a girl’s…

“Who are you?” He breathed. “Why…?”

He was cut off as cool lips covered his, and he blushed, feeling heat rise in his cheeks. He should be on duty – he was patrolling in the Silver region, keeping the border between Kanto and Johto safe…

            Wait…

“Are you the Champion of Johto then?” He asked.

“Perceptive.” The man purred. “I am indeed.” Red flushed as he felt the mouth cover his once more, and he did not fight this time.

“But why? Why are you here?”

“You will understand soon enough.” The man smiled. “Such an innocent you are, Champion. It will be a pity…”

“What…?” But the man had turned, whistling, and his Aerodactyl darted out of the shadows to join him.

“Come, Ptera. We must leave now.” And with that, he was off.

Red stared after his retreating figure, wondering what had happened.

Three weeks later, when Kanto fell to Johto, he finally realized who Lance truly was. And by then, it was too late…

He closed his eyes as the man kissed him again, and he smiled innocently.

            It was all right…

End Fic

Poor Red…

Yes, really vague fic… I had the idea that while Lance was distracting Red, his dragon army was razing Kanto or something…
