“I don’t like you.”

“I don’t like you either.” Lance shrugged, “But it is imperative that we work together now, is it not?”

Giovanni scowled. “Yes.” He said crisply.

The Dragon Master smirked. “So it is agreed.”

“This truce is only temporary.”

“Oh, I understand that well enough…” The Leader of the Elite Four smirked. “You don’t agree with the government’s limitations on pokemon training, I take it.”

“It’s absurd! Publicly getting rid of pokemon battling all together? Preposterous! The entire economy would collapse!”

“That is no concern of mine.” Golden eyes narrowed. “But it is of utmost importance that the League not confiscate trained pokémon. Can you imagine all that power in their hands?”

Giovanni’s grimace showed only too well that yes, he did.

“You may steal all you like,” The Dragon Master continued. “I’ll take care of the rest.”

The Leader of Team Rocket frowned, but nodded.

After all, there were bound to be many weak pokémon in the mix, and he didn’t want those…

“Are you sure?”

Lance smirked as he turned to face his lover. “I am sure.”

“What if Giovanni betrays us?”

“Ah love, I am rather expecting him to…” Lance purred. “But the moment he does….” Red’s eyes widened, as he looked at the silver bracelets on Lance’s wrists.

“Those are…!”

“Yes…” The Dragon Master crooned. “He will not find betrayal an easy path to take. And the pokemon will be safer in the Realm of Dreams.”

“I know.” Red grinned.

And that was so.
