They broke apart hastily with guilty looks on their faces, even as his golden eyes raked over them in disdain.

“I knew it.” He said, and his voice was sharp. “I suspected, but now…” He shook his head. “Henceforth you are exiled from this island, and if you show your face before me again, I will kill you.”

With that, the Master turned and strode away.

Red and Blue looked at each other, and Blue watched as her friend’s face crumpled. “Red… I’m sorry.” She whispered.

“It’s not your fault.” But they hadn’t meant to kiss, really, they didn’t love each other in that way – Blue was enamored with Silver and Red… Red wanted Master Lance…

They had just been lonely, and stressed… but they had sworn their vows of chastity, and this did breach the rules.

With a heavy heart, they collected their belongings and left Indigo Island.

Lance watched them go, and hardened his heart.

Time passed.

“You are going to die.” Red said softly.

Lance did not answer. How could he?

Red sighed as he knelt down next to his Master’s bed. A few months after Master Lance had sent them away, an arrogant upstart named Robert had shown up with dark power – power gained from stolen life, blood magic. Master Lance had fought valiantly, but finally, the Silver Dragon had fallen…

And now…

Red closed his eyes and kissed him, once, before all was silent.

I like Luckyshipping (Red x Blue) in the Pokemon Special manga, but Championshipping is still my favorite.
