He can't fail this, Syaoran thinks, as his hands tighten around the hilt of his sword. It's a symbol of his Clan, the Li, and the *right* to his power. The Clow Cards belong to his family, and no one is going to stop him, not even the Judgment Maker, Yue. He'll use the cards he's captured and he'll defeat the judge, and this way, he will prove his worth as the next Head and bring glory to his family. This attitude lasts until the wave of crystal shards slam into his body, and Yue sends him flying off the roof and takes his cards away, and he's too miserable afterwards to complain when Sakura is proclaimed the new Master, and all he can hear is the litany of 'I failed' echoing in his mind, over and over and over again...
