He’s not trying to be nervous, and he thinks he hides it well, but he doesn’t want Ash to get hurt! It’s dangerous going out there when Kyogre and Groudon are battling! Even if Pikachu is in danger, Max thinks that Ash is much more important!

He sighs.

He’s so distracted that he can’t even spout out some intellectual bit of wisdom. How is he supposed to concentrate when Ash is out there? Max knows that the older trainer is strong, but he’s still worried. And when Ash jumps off Dragonite to go rescue Pikachu, he almost loses it.

He wishes he could help more! Maybe if he actually had some strong pokemon, he could keep Ash company, better, and keep him safe, because Max really doesn’t want anything to happen to him.

Luckily, Kyogre saves Ash, but he’s still – still worried.

Maybe, maybe, it’s time to tell Ash how he feels, before it’s too late next time.

This is my first shot at this pairing. I’m not sure how I did – I haven’t watched very many episodes of the Houen League. Hope it wasn’t too OOC! *Shrugs*
