Once upon a time, the Sun God Mikami sent her husband Light to visit the God of Food, L. When L saw that Light was coming, he prepared a great feast of chocolates and donuts, strawberry shortcakes and popsicles, ice cream and melon covered in sugar sauce, by spitting the food from his mouth and covering one hundred tables with sustenance. Although the food looked good, Light was so disgusted by L’s actions that he got L’s name from a spirit named Rem and killed him with his Death Note.

Mikami was not too happy about this, because without L, there would be no food and everyone would starve to death. Ryuk was not happy either, because L had not managed to spit up any apples before he died and thus he was stuck with those of the Shinigami Realm.

Near, the Emperor of Heaven was so angry at Light’s thoughtless actions that he banished him to the night, so he and Mikami would never meet again and plan the deaths of the Imperial court, the SPK, as Kiras.

And no one lived happily ever after.
